We had the slate flooring in our home cleaned and sealed after a pipe broke and flooded our home. Once all reconstruction was completed, the floors were done by 805. They did a stellar job and the floors are super clean. Communication was great and everything went well. The insurance company paid for the job, so I'm not certain what the costs were. They did pull some paint off a door where they taped up some protective plastic sheeting. I'll contact my GC to have that resolved. read more

I reached out based on the Yelp ratings, which seemed stellar. Shocked at the experience. First off, we scheduled a date and time for the estimate. After nothing for 30 minutes past the time, I call and they said they would be there in 20 minutes. Shows up one hour past the scheduled time...it happens, I understand, but maybe you should at least apologize and give me a heads up? Apologizing after I call you out is not comforting. Very nice in person, Takes measurements and discusses. This was a Friday, so I understand we might not get the estimate soon. I'm told, if not this weekend, I'll get it to you by Monday eod. No worries, that's reasonable. Heck, it can be any day, just do what you promise. Monday nothing. Tuesday nothing. Call Wednesday. Says I'm really busy, No apology until I call them out on what they promised. I didn't set the expectation, they did. I tell them, if we don't even have a contract and you're being like this, what am I to expect? Next day, I get a text about the room to be done, is it upstairs or downstairs, and the bathroom, is it being done? I'm totally confused, we never spoke about a bathroom and the room is upstairs. I get the quote finally. It's ~$30k more than another quote I got from a 5 star Yelp business. WTH. Looking deeper into the quote, it's talking about terracota tile and grout...we never spoke about that, we spoke what I already have downstairs, which is laminate. They even stated, that's a manufactured piece we can't get anymore but we can get something close to match. Don't always believe Yelp reviews, but I'd believe this one. read more

The install took longer than expected - I was told 3 days and it took 5. I think the install was more difficult than originally anticipated. I consider it a tremendous gift to have found Hector and the team at 805 Flooring. We had water damage on Thanksgiving 2023 and had moved out of our condo with two kids under 4 and two dogs in tow and the previous contractor we found was stringing us along. They had emptied our house and done some demolition but everything was at a standstill and they were dragging their feet. Then I called 805 Flooring and they delivered for us in every way imaginable. Hector came out the same day I called him, gave me a very fair estimate within 48 hours and had started work within a week. Their work was efficient and thorough, we couldn't believe the progress they made in such a short time. At every moment, they communicated what was happening, what they needed (as far as choosing materials, paint colors etc.) and when they expected things to be complete or ready for the next step. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and got exactly what we wanted. Aside from the fact that they completed the work in about half the time I was expecting it to take a contractor, what struck me walking into the finished house was the quality of the workmanship. The previous floors had some noticeable gaps and difficult areas to fully cover, but every inch of our house was done with such precision and care. We have a new house - floors, paint, baseboards. While we were moved out, I also hired Hector's team to help redo our kitchen while they were here and the results are fantastic. They repainted the cabinets and helped with appliances. I was so happy to have a company I could trust do all the work and know it would be done well. My wife and I comment at least once a day how happy we are to be back in our home. I'm so impressed with Hector and his team at 805 Flooring! I called them up after seeing their reviews on Yelp! because I didn't know who else to call. I recently purchased a new home with carpeted stairs and around that same time I adopted two super cute pug puppies, one of them with a desire to eat everything - including my new home's carpeted step! The first step on our stairway had been puppified. Totally chewed to shreds. It was a huge eyesore. Actually and unfortunately, many items in our home didn't survive the puppy years. My patio furniture cushions - completely shredded. The legs on my dining room table, chewed on. My expensive juke rug peed and pooped on. Door mats chewed to shreds, Zories (Google it if you don't know what this is) chewed to threads, you get my drift. And, I desperately needed to find someone that wouldn't mind coming out and replacing the carpet and pad for me. We still had leftover carpet from the day we moved in, I just needed to find someone to work on that one step for me, and Hector answered the call. Thank God! I was so impressed with his kind personality, and his desire for perfection! I made the appointment and him and a couple of his guys came out to my house and they fixed the step in a very thorough and professional manner, diligently cleaning up after themselves throughout the whole process to be sure my home was clean and all the debris was immediately removed. I let my pugs visit with them and then put them away so the crew could fix the step. My puppies were afraid of their noisy machines, so I put them in the yard where they could watch through the sliding glass doors. Afteward I let my puppies in to visit with the workers and get some pets and loves. The stairway looks so good now that they fixed the step. In fact, I will go to them now for every floor repair! I was so happy with them and their work. They make you feel like family and take pride in their work. I will happily refer them to everyone I know. During the demo we discovered damage to the subfloor, courtesy of my dog.
