They did a stellar job and the floors are super clean. Communication was great and everything went well. The insurance company paid for the job, so I'm not certain what the costs were. Shows up one hour past the scheduled time...it happens, I understand, but maybe you should at least apologize and give me a heads up? Apologizing after I call you out is not comforting. Very nice in person, Takes measurements and discusses. This was a Friday, so I understand we might not get the estimate soon. I'm told, if not this weekend, I'll get it to you by Monday eod. No worries, that's reasonable. Heck, it can be any day, just do what you promise. Monday nothing. Tuesday nothing. Call Wednesday. Says I'm really busy, No apology until I call them out on what they promised. I didn't set the expectation, they did. I tell them, if we don't even have a contract and you're being like this, what am I to expect? Next day, I get a text about the room to be done, is it upstairs or downstairs, and the bathroom, is it being done? I'm totally confused, we never spoke about a bathroom and the room is upstairs. I get the quote finally. It's ~$30k more than another quote I got from a 5 star Yelp business. WTH. Looking deeper into the quote, it's talking about terracota tile and grout...we never spoke about that, we spoke what I already have downstairs, which is laminate. They even stated, that's a manufactured piece we can't get anymore but we can get something close to match. Don't always believe Yelp reviews, but I'd believe this one.

After the initial consultation, I waited about six weeks until they could start. I hired them to remodel two full bathrooms and a downstairs half, all of which came out great and completed in a timely manner--about 16-18 working days total. I had to buy everything myself regarding tile and finishes and they provided the rest! If you don't have the truck or the lower back to transport tile, they will pick it up for you. I preferred Floor and Decor based on their recommendation. Tips: - They prefer to use Schluter brand building supplies, so make sure that whatever you plan in regards to shelves and finishes can work with that brand. Best to discuss with them ahead of time. - They will do electrical work, fans, paint and more for an extra fee, make sure to discuss this outside of the original quote - Have all materials--from shower door to backsplashes--at your house and check everything upon arrival! It is impossible to find anything these days that doesn't take weeks to ship, even something as simple as a towel bar. The guys graciously came back a week or two later to install one missing piece from my vanity. - There is a bit of lag in email communication with them, so it might be best to get a phone number for text or calling for better response time Overall, very satisfied with the finished product and how they conducted their business. There are no signs of leaks or poor craftsmanship in any of their work areas, and they kept it nice and tidy. Mo…read moreassured us they could closely match our existing wood floors, which is why we hired WFG for the quote provided (about 30% higher than our avg quote.) The floors are a completely different color than our existing older hardwood. I understand that the match was never going to be exact, but I am disappointed in how far off they are. If matching aged flooring was never possible, they should not have set our expectations otherwise. When I asked Mo if he thought the color was close, he said they were "maybe 10% different", which I believe was a dishonest answer. The floors are also extremely soft - just lightly pushing a finger nail into them leaves a dent. My guess is they bought cheap planks, made of young lumber that is not as strong as our original floors. The planks were not sanded well either, the surface has bumps that can be felt even with the finish complete.

They came in, honed/ polished to a high matte finish, sealed cracks and sealed the surface. Limestone is porus and subject to etching from acid foods (lemons!) so a high polish would not last long term. The counters look like new with a very, very even finish. They took care to drape off all my appliances and cabinets, polished for about 5 hours, then cleaned up well. Polishing is wet, messy process but they know what they are doing and didn't leave a mess at all. Super happy with the response and service.

Everything was great. Well, he totally flaked and was a no show. I did call to try to confirm the appointment and it was sent directly to voicemail--just so not cool. My advice to the Grout Geek: if you don't want to take on a job for whatever reason, have the common decency to let the customer know so they don't sit around waiting for your arrival.

It was two different teams that worked on our flooring, one for tile and the other for carpeting, and both teams were excellent! Thank you to Josh for making this tough process so easy for us! He came off a bit blunt at first, but after working with him for a bit now, he is honest, genuine, and kind. His wife is also very nice, she works at the store as well. We did not have his team install the flooring as we already had a contractor, but he was very communicative throughout the whole process (even after we needed to order 3 extra boxes after coming up short) and he was straightforward. We got LVP, moisture barrier plastic, and MDF base boards, all at prices that were great. He even stored my dolly over night when I forgot it there during the pick-up. Big fan. I have a 4-bedroom rental house in Ventura. The last tenants were in the house for 17 years, so that was excellent, but the tile floors and granite countertops did not clean up well using standard cleaning methods. So, I reached out to Grout Works, who was recommended by a friend. Wow, they do excellent work! Jorge planned to use his floor machine with scrub brush to clean, but was prepared to add a color sealer to the grout if the grout didn't clean up well. His power cleaning alone did the job! Yes, Jorge cleaned off 17 years of grime effectively. As for the granite countertops, wow, they are now so smooth and clean feeling after he did his magic reconditioning them. Our marble inlaid table top had lots of water stains built up for over 18 years! The table looked terrible. My husband saw George's truck and had me call for a quote. George came within two days to give us a quote. While he was here, he also gave us a quote for our kitchen tile to be resealed and to have the grout resealed. His quote was reasonable. I wanted to have the work completed before the Fourth of July. George accommodated and was here within the next two days. The table looks brand new! The floor looks amazing! George of Grout Works did an exemplary job on our travertine tile floor on Sept 18 to 19, 2024. He is very professional, knowledgeable, prompt, efficient & easy to deal with. A week before the project start, he did a sample on the flooring and explain what to expect. The project was supposed to be done in 3 days but they were able to finish ahead of schedule. We had our bathroom remodeled and unfortunately the grout in the shower and on the floor of the bathroom was left missing and or discolored in several places. Needless to say, we were left very disheartened. George evaluated the situation and told us what he could do to improve the appearance and functionality. I asked Jorge for an estimate on regrouting our 20 year old shower. He was punctual, knowledgeable and skilled. I had searched the Ventura area for someone to do this project and out of everyone I could find I selected Jorge. Jorge brought our shower back to life! Hard water stains and soap scum really beat up the glass doors and the tile but jorge was able to make everything look like new. George, the owner, promptly came to my home for a quote. He was extremely professional and very nice. I had him and his assistant re-grout my shower and clean my floors and counter tiles as well as fill in holes in my travertine. They did everything that was promised and was respectful of my home. They came in, honed/ polished to a high matte finish, sealed cracks and sealed the surface. Limestone is porus and subject to etching from acid foods (lemons!) so a high polish would not last long term. The counters look like new with a very, very even finish. They took care to drape off all my appliances and cabinets, polished for about 5 hours, then cleaned up well. Polishing is wet, messy process but they know what they are doing and didn't leave a mess at all. Super happy with the response and service.

Everything was great. Well, he totally flaked and was a no show. I did call to try to confirm the appointment and it was sent directly to voicemail--just so not cool. My advice to the Grout Geek: if you don't want to take on a job for whatever reason, have the common decency to let the customer know so they don't sit around waiting for your arrival.

Very nice in person, Takes measurements and discusses. This was a Friday, so I understand we might not get the estimate soon. I'm told, if not this weekend, I'll get it to you by Monday eod. No worries, that's reasonable. Heck, it can be any day, just do what you promise. Monday nothing. Tuesday nothing. Call Wednesday. Says I'm really busy, No apology until I call them out on what they promised. I didn't set the expectation, they did. I tell them, if we don't even have a contract and you're being like this, what am I to expect? Next day, I get a text about the room to be done, is it upstairs or downstairs, and the bathroom, is it being done? I'm totally confused, we never spoke about a bathroom and the room is upstairs. I get the quote finally. It's ~$30k more than another quote I got from a 5 star Yelp business. WTH. Looking deeper into the quote, it's talking about terracota tile and grout...we never spoke about that, we spoke what I already have downstairs, which is laminate. They even stated, that's a manufactured piece we can't get anymore but we can get something close to match. Don't always believe Yelp reviews, but I'd believe this one.

I'm only giving them 4 stars though because during the estimate they suggested to also clean and refinish our granite counters, including repairing old grout and a crack. At the end, the counters look exactly the same, and the grout was done poorly, while the crack was done terribly with large pockets still open. We called them back and the original estimator came to complete the job. He finished the grout okay, but the crack looks terrible and messy with clear epoxy stuck on the counters around it. I really could've done that myself. My advice is use to them for floors or tile and pass on the add-ons.

They didn't cover the existing grout, which we found out the last grout company had done, they actually removed all of the old grout and then rerouted with a silicone grout which should resist cracking much better than the grainy grout that was previously used. The new grout looks great and A&J Grout called us back promptly when we left a message requesting an estimate; the estimate was reasonable and we felt that the service was worth the price; the guys arrived when they were supposed to and were polite, friendly, professional, efficient and thorough. They also did a great job patching the holes in the bathroom floor with a travertine tile repair that matched really well and did exactly what we wanted.
