We contacted Eugene of Image Hardwood Flooring after a previous company did an awful job of refinishing the red oak floors in our home. When Eugene came to inspect the floor he told us the person who did the refinishing didn't vacuum the floor after each coat of urethane sealer (3 coats) -- which explained why the floor was so rough and uneven. There were other problems with the first company also but suffice to say we are seeking legal action against them. When we got Eugene's bid it was nearly identical in cost to the first company -- but what a difference in result. The first company owner said we could only have a dark stain as any other color would would be too yellow. Eugene painted several several samples directly on our floor after he stripped it -- and we found the exact color we had when the floor was first installed -- not yellow at all with the grain standing out well. Eugene's crew was timely in coming to work, extremely neat and got everything done in the time schedule quoted. We are thrilled with our floor and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Image Hardwood Flooring to anyone wanting a super professional flooring job. read more

Eugene and his crew did a wonderful job of refinishing the white oak flooring in our 1961 built home. They were refinished and stained a natural color back in 1997 but the finish had yellowed, and we no longer wanted shiny floors. On day one (Monday) the crew moved all our furniture out into our garage, placed plastic over all doors and crevices and had stripped the old finish off by day's end! Eugene taped off an area of floor in good light and gave us about 7 sample stains to choose from - we opted for Birch with a satin finish. The following Monday the crew moved all our furniture back into the house onto our new floors. What impressed us was that Eugene was there the entire time working with the guys.
