Jerad is simply AMAZING. From start to finish, it was the absolute Best possible experience. We remodeled 2 bathrooms (a half bath and a full bath) in Oxnard, which included demolition and conversion from a bathtub to a shower in the full bathroom. Jerad performed the demolition, construction of the shower from the studs and tiling. The tiling job included the shower wall/floor and the bathroom floors. Jerad was by far the cleanest of all the trades that were contracted for the job (covered everything properly, and left the job site clean every night). The quality of his tiling work and attention to detail are unparalleled. He truly excels at his craft. He is also a great communicator and an absolute pleasure to work with. This is a long overdue review since we first used Jerad a year ago to tile the walls and floor in the half bath and were very happy with his excellent work. Now we just had him redo our whole full bath with a floated shower, wall wainscoting, and floor. We live in an old 1895 house and wanted to keep the look classic, so went with subway tile and chair rails. When we first started the projects we had several ideas, and Jerad being somewhat of a politician didn't really push any ideas until we asked him. Even though he has different tastes in the styles he likes, he was very helpful with suggestions and ideas, they showed wonderfully in the end when it was done. We were happy with his input. As busy as he is, and that's a drawback in writing this review because he may get more business from it and we have other projects, but Jerad always communicated with us and was always on time, and kept us posted in his progress and schedule. He is meticulous, and probably an artist too, and always makes sure it's done right. With an old house like ours we have been very, very, picky about any of the remodeling work and contractors we are using, so it is great that along with the good plumber, electrician, general contractor we found, to now have a great tile contractor! We have a laundry room, new master bath, another half bath, and a kitchen that will be done in the future with lots of tile, and we won't have to think twice about who we will use for the tile work. We had consulted 6 tile installers when we decided it was time for an upgrade and house remodel project after 25 years. We selected Jerad because we were impressed with his experience, responses to our questions, his personal suggestions and the fact that he was doing the actual install versus bringing in a "crew" to rush through the job. We are extremely selective and our research payed off. Jerad did an exceptional installation of the large format porcelain tile throughout the entire interior of our house along with the front and side porches. They look like they do good work, but it seems like if you don't have a big job don't bother. We needed a new kitchen backsplash, however our kitchen is not that big. When the owner came over to give us an estimate, he made us feel like we were wasting his time. He took some measurements and said he would email us a estimate, still haven't received it. Jerad Rohde is a skilled and careful tile man, who did an absolutely flawless job on a shower and kitchen sink surround for a 1920s apartment, taking both down to the studs then rebuilding and tiling them. He did exactly what he said he would do, when he would do it. He encouraged me to have a plumber assess the plumbing behind the wall of the shower, a great suggestion I would not have thought about. He used basic stock tile from Lowe's to make a design that added a lot of pizzazz that also retained the period flavor of the apartment, but at a reasonable price. He also fit my small job into my very tight schedule. He was a pleasure to work with: showed up on time, worked hard, got it done -- and made it very attractive. Jerade is definitely a master in his trade. We had an 80's vintage fiberglass bathroom with a shower the size of a phone booth and a huge useless oval tub. We knew the tub had to go, but were struggling with how to proportion the space for the new shower enclosure and still have a usable dressing/makeup area.
