    Lemongrass chicken with Pad Thai

The food is amazing and the service is great! Some of the best Thai food and Thai tea I've ever had

The serving was large enough so I have lunch tomorrow.

Great service, received my dish in 10 minutes but unfortunately it was mostly sauce. The flavor was wonderful but $15.00 for two cups liquid wasn't worth it. First time being disappointed in this local favorite.

Friend staff. Quality food for the price. I have had better Thai food elsewhere but it was satisfactory. The summer rolls and peanut sauce were lack luster. The tofu tasted off. The soup was good but not nearly spicy enough despite ordering it spicy. This is Americanized Thai food which is fine as long as that is what you are expecting.

We ordered takeout passing through town and we were very satisfied with the noodle dishes we ordered. We like our food on the spicier side and ordered medium hot, which was perfect! Good amount of spice without overpowering the flavor. Both dishes had a good amount of chicken, which was tender and well cooked. The pad se ew included carrots and broccoli, both of which still had a little crunch so they weren't soggy. There was also a nice portion of each, along with the scrambled egg. Would definitely order food from here again!

Enjoyed my pumpkin curry a lot, and my friend enjoyed their yellow curry. The waiter seemed severely stretched thin, which affected the meal a little bit; my friend had been hoping to order a drink but so many tables were in need of help that my friend never got a chance. That's not on the waiter, who was hustling and doing his best, but I might hesitate to come here during any popular meal time on a weekend, especially when I have dietary restrictions that necessitate some conversation with the waiter to make sure I won't get sick. Still, I definitely would like to come back if in Forest Grove again!

I feel so seen at this allergy friendly spot: gluten free, dairy free, refined sugar free, and seed oil free! That is rare! Come here to eat healthy real food. It's a cute little cafe where you order first and then sit down. Bus your table after. The staff is friendly and their menu is excellent! I had a hard time picking what to eat, but I ended up going with the salmon salad. The person at the front said their popular items are the waffles and borscht. Both sound delicious, so maybe I'll try it next time. Their menu is unique and not the usual selection on a lunch menu, like a deli sandwich. Every plate is presented beautifully too. They put my large salmon salad on a bed of lettuce and topped it with beets, pomegranate, a radish, and what looked like flower petals/buds. I saved 1/4 of my lunch to-go. My husband had their salmon hash with potatoes, and let me tell you, that egg on top looked delicious. I saw some other folks ordering that, so it seems like a popular item on the menu too. We also ordered the matcha latte with coconut milk and the Bastion pink latte. Bastion pink latte is tasty and healthy (beets, cherry, maple syrup, ginger, and substituted with coconut milk). No caffeine though! I loved my matcha latte because it wasn't too bitter and not too sweet (I had honey for sweetener), but it was creamy and delicious with the coconut milk. The salmon is excellent, not too smokey.

I should have known better than to come to this new local North Plains food pod location…read more(post-fireworks) on a Friday, July 5th afternoon lol. Because out of the four usual pods that are here, only SlackTide was open!!! Yippee!!! I finally get to try them too!!! Yippee Skippy!!! Here's my order: ~ Again, this was my first time trying this pod, so I went BIG. I ordered their best item, the $28 Captian's Platter. This consisted of two pieces of fish, in which lingcod was the "featured fish." Three pieces of fresh scallops. And three pieces of fresh shrimp. First of all, I was warned by the owner Brian that lingcod is a thinner fish. But being an avid angler, I was familiar with how big or long lingcod can get. I will admit the fish pieces were somewhat small, but I was warned. I had to get that deep-fried, forearm sized "British fish-n-chips in a newspaper" thought out of my head. The breading, however, was crispy good! The breading stayed on the fish as well. Another plus in my book! As for the scallops and shrimp, oh boy these were just as tasty, dipped in the cocktail sauce or tartar. Squeeze a lil' lemon, add a lil' salt, and mmm mmm!!! The good thing was, after eating that platter, I didn't have that greasy guilty feeling. Oh wait, there's more... ~ Who wants CHOWDAH?!?!?! MAAAAN, I've been up and down the Pacific coast and damn, SlackTide sells some good competition worthy chowder! Why? Because with each spoonful scoop, it had clam with every bite. The base was just right, not too thin, not too thick. It just tasted amazing to me, and thank goodness it wasn't overwhelmed by big potato filler pieces. I only sampled the 10oz cup for $8, but now I know next time to try it in a bread bowl. Welp, that's just about it regarding SlackTide. Call me a fan! Some may think its a bit pricey, but the seafood was cooked fresh on the spot, and EVERY bite was just pure blliss! I had a great talk with the owner Brian about how he manages to do this part-time on the weekends. Man, much props! Fish only stays fresh for so long, so understandable with the short hours. But I'm all about supporting locals. FIVE Star-fish for these guys!!!

The fish was very fresh, nice seasoned cornmeal breading and perfectly cooked. The fries were equally good. Although next time I'd like to try the clam chowder as the side. We found One in a Melon Meals on the Find Me GF app, which told us that this is a completely gluten-free food cart, which also has vegan and dairy free options. My partner usually opts for the Roccstar quinoa meal. This is a huge helping of Moroccan BBQ chicken on a bed of quinoa, along with a side salad of tomatoes, cucumber, feta cheese, and olives. She's never been disappointed. The service is wonderful, and she gets her food quickly, often more quickly than our boys, who go to another cart for meatballs. It's steaming hot and obviously prepared fresh to order. She devours the whole thing and often has to hold back from getting a larger size. She's also ordered online, and had it delivered, and the quality hasn't suffered a bit. The food is healthy, delicious, and run by local people. It's part of a food cart pod, smallish, but with plenty of other options available for members of a group. Seating is ample and there's even a beer truck, if that's your thing. So, there's really no reason that anyone, not just gluten- free and gluten sensitive people, should have to not check this place out.
