I needed to run into Fred Meyer and was trying to grab some food fast before an afternoon of running around. Hmmmm, random teriyaki place - why not. I have had far better but I have also had far worse as well. It did seem a bit on the higher priced side compared to other spots but that's sort of par for the course in this area... All the businesses charge more thanks to Intel being right here. I got the teriyaki chicken with gyoza and an unexpected side salad - that was a pleasant surprise actually. And the chicken was good with some decent sauce but its good that I am not a person who wants a ton of it since they charge extra for lots of sauce if you are THAT person. They were pretty fast though do not expect a lot for service - there were three people working who seemed more interesting in talking to each other than helping people beyond getting them their food. I don't really need a lot of hand holding myself especially when hangry but on a different day it might bug me more. Great food for a strip mall teriyaki joint. I had the house special with hot beef and veggies. It was great. Came with shrimp tempura which were better than I expected, fairly light and delicate on the breading, along with gyoza and egg roll. A lighter light on the veggies, but they were cooked right, with a slight amount of crunch. I ordered the chicken and shrimp combination and only ate the 6 shrimp that came with it because the meat was poorly cut. Every bite I took I found myself spitting it out because of the chewiness and fat in the chicken. My boyfriend ordered the chicken and beef combination and he ate the chicken with ease, but the beef was questionable. It was tough and not too appetizing if you ask me. Overall the little restaurant was clean and the flavor of my food was really good, but I just couldn't eat much of it. We decided to opt out of the rice so we got salad instead and the dressing was not my cup of tea. Also... Quick stop right next to my gym. It is located next to Fred Meyer's. It is a small restaurant that has a good selection of food. They have rice and yakisoba options with protein options including chicken, beef, pork, and shrimp. What I like about it here is that they don't charge extra for the shrimp and the shrimps are decent sized (not the small cheap ones). The yakisoba noodles are drenched in the sauce so if you like teriyaki sauce, I would recommend this dish for you. Otherwise the rice dish is nice because it comes with a side salad. And if you get the spicy protein option, you lose out on the salad but you get stir-fried veggies with your meat and the spice level is very mild. Good thing they have the chili paste on the side that you can add if you like yours more spicy. They also usually have a "special of the month" which has been chicken teriyaki for a while for only $6 if you pay in cash! read more

I guess new ownership in a teriyaki place. Went here for lunch. Huge portions and ok tasting. Real stingy on the sauce though. Didn't like that, can get more, but $0.50 for a little portion. Really!! Came with a salad on the plate which was actually quite tasty. Loved the crispy noodles on it. Real small seating area, so I think if for lunch, do a to go order. Only complaint, besides the sauce, is that my clothes smelled after eating there. Really don't like that. Did I go to the same place as everyone else here? Wow. This was not good. I've said it before: if you have a food in the name of your restaurant, you should probably excel at that food. The chicken teriyaki (are we spelling it teriaki now?) was awful. Just awful. I had chicken breast, which was cut into pieces and grilled. The chicken was rubbery, like it was maybe parboiled and then grilled? I didn't watch them cook so I'm not sure what caused the texture issue, but there is certainly a texture issue. The chicken doesn't taste marinated and it's not cooked in sauce, so it becomes just kind of a vehicle for the sauce. Which -- the sauce. It's good, but there wasn't enough drizzled over the chicken (and none over the rice) -- and extra sauce will cost you, 50 cents for a container. Look, I can afford 50 cents but really? That's just cheap and not a great business move, in my opinion. It was a big portion that I couldn't finish because it was just not good at all. Kristen H.'s review is spot on in my opinion; it's also the most recent as of this writing. Did something change? 1 star is because the spring rolls were good, albeit rather unceremoniously served with a packet of sweet and sour sauce next to them. If I were to describe my meal as a children's book title, it would be called "The Saddest Little Salad Ever". I ordered from this place using Delivered Dish because there was a mad man in the area and I didn't want to leave the building today. I ordered with two of my coworkers and we each chose the chicken teriyaki dish that came with a side salad. I typically LOVE salads from teriyaki places, something about the sweet dressing just makes my day. When the food was delivered, I opened the side dish box and was immediately disappointed. There were skimpy amounts of lettuce in the container and several pieces were brown. The dressing had already been poured on the salad and was pooled at the bottom in a liquid mess. So disappointed with this. The actual teriyaki chicken and rice were ok but they did not have enough sauce. We had each ordered an extra container of teriyaki sauce however they only provided us with one extra container to cover all three orders. The portions were large, but the food wasn't good so I barely ate it and threw the rest away. I don't like to waste food, but I couldn't eat it because it was so bad. Unlike the yakisoba at Bento's which feels a little oily and too much, their Yakisoba is simple and has 4 ingredients (besides noodles): meat, lettuce, broccoli, and onion. The yakisoba done pretty quickly and it hits the spot, as well as being pretty cheap. It's, as the kids say, dope. But the meat is not the best, it's kinda tough.
