We used to live on Schendel 5 years ago and happened to be in the area. Bentos 3 sounded DELICIOUS! Unfortunately, it is NOT the same and now tastes like every other generic Bentos place in the area. Ok lunch special $8 chicken teriyaki. Just like most teriyaki in the US. Surprisingly comes with 2 potstickers. No veggies. Avoid $12 beef Yakisoba at all cost - sliced beef is definitely from freezer block. It has freezer burn taste covering teriyaki sauce. Avoid Yakisoba- the noodle is extremely sweet, oily, and no veggies. This plate will give you 200+ blood sugar. So far $12 chicken bento is the winner from this place. It comes with stir fried veggies (pretty raw cabbage tho), potstickers, egg rolls, and rice. Dine in bento box made the food more appealing than styrofoam box. Very bad environment responsibility. I'm not going back after seeing that. The seats are all empty the whole lunch hour on a Saturday. No body sit down and eat freshly made food. Everyone has foam box and plastic bag to-go. Honestly don't understand the low ratings for this place. The teriyaki isn't the best I ever had, but the chicken is actually pretty good. The beef is not great though. The chicken katsu is excellent. The yakisoba is good. The fried rice is good. And the prices are really good. I saw some people talking about the food is pricey? wtf? Entrees here are like $12ish. You won't find prices like that pretty much anywhere. Plus every time I come here the workers are very nice and friendly, and the restaurant itself is very clean. read more

Was a pretty decent place. My only real disappointment was the flavors were really lacking. Other than the meat, everything was bland as if they were afraid to use spices. Hardly any dressing mixed in the salad and the rice didn't taste very fresh as if it had been cooked earlier and sat for a while. The meat was tender which was delightful. read more

Place is a little ominous in its vibe. lol. You walk in and there's not music playing, the air conditioning keeps it cool i guess. Nice cashier but you have to bus your own trays/dishes. I'm always hard pressed to tip at places where you're required to take care of your own trays and such, idk, personal beef with society, not this restaurant specifically. Anyway, the food tasted decent, except for the vegetables which were doused with salt. The Katsu is a MUST and the portions are generous. Teriyaki sauce was THICK. Spicy mayo is yummy. read more

I don't support the businesses in where workers and customers are treated bad. I had a horrible experience at this place. The cashier (I believe she is the owner of this place) was extremely rude and disrespectful. She yelled at the cook in the back all the time. The language she used while she was talking to the cook was unacceptable and very worng on so many levels. After I completed my order, I took a seat and started waiting for my order. She totally forgot to call my name and the fact that I was a customer waiting to pick up an order. She yelled at me "What are you waiting for?". I told her I am waiting for my order. Again she started screaming "Where did you go? I called your name three-times already". She was lying about calling my name three times because I was sitting only a table away from where she was and I never left the place. The food didn't taste good. I don't blame the cook though. I hate to say it, but the salmon was hands down the worst I've ever had in my life and everything deep fried was burned to hell. God darn awful. Although cheap, it still wasn't worth it. Barely edible. The beef was too chewy and fatty, the salad was spoiled, egg roll was bad and the rice wasn't good. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I never got a chance to try their food, which I'm sure is good tasting, because the BMW at the counter started screaming the word "CHICKEN" loudly at me over and over when I asked her what type of chicken came on the combo plate. I wasn't sure if it was teriyaki or another flavor as the "teriyaki" menu was above the combo menu. The combo menu only lists chicken and pork, chicken and beef, and chicken and shrimp. I guess I was to assume it is teriyaki chicken. But she never even answered my question. She just yelled "chicken" over and over, so I left. There are plenty of great restaurants to eat in these days, tons of competition. Why eat at a place where a BMW is yelling at you? Not worth it to me!! Luckily for them, I seemed to be the only person in there who had a problem with this behavior. Keep your chicken. I don't care what flavor it is!!! And good luck keeping that minimum wage job BMW! It's okay. Not the best Bento in the area and a bit pricey. Also, I absolutely detest places that charge for sauce... why not place a bottle on the table and just charge me the extra 50cents in the price of the meal? This particular location has been a two different teriyaki place and Thai food in the past 5 years. It doesn't seem to have much luck probably attracting customers and making a profit.. hence the prices and charge for extra sauce. read more

I feel bad for the owner of this place. The cashier disrespect him in front of all his customers. I ordered three plates, one of them was supposed to be beef and shrimp and they gave me chicken. My husband proceeded to go to the counter to ask for the mistake to be corrected. She immediately went off on him and said all she would do was give us shrimp but not take back the chicken. That's when I approached the counter and re-told her my order of all plates ordered to what her response was that she doesn't make ever make mistakes and that the mistake was mine. I nicely again asked if my order could be corrected because understood this happens and that it was okay. She then called me a bitch and told me to never come back again. We then asked to speak to the owner and she said no that she was in charge. We then saw the cook who happens to be the owner and we called him to the counter. He came to speak to us and as soon as we explained what happens he immediately offered to correct the order but the cashier then started yelling at him telling him not to correct my order because I was the one that asked for it wrong he told her that we were his customers to which she responded well I'm your employee. Like wtf??!! It obviously seemed like this happens all the time and sadly the owner is used to it. He gave us our money back for the wrong order. He asked her to please step away and she refused and started yelling at him she then cursed at me in Spanish and threatened to "take me outside". She said we could never come back here again the owner had to pull her back. I was there with my kids so obviously at that point we decided to leave she still walked out and shut the door on us. I've been to this place a few times and I've ran into Some weird incidents with the cashier talking to her friend on the phone while ringing me up and yelling at the cook. I gave this place another try and it's extremely unprofessional ! I speak and understand Spanish and this Hispanic lady that range me up was literally yelling at me "what do you want ?" and she's speaking over me to another customer saying "did you pay did you pay" who the hell speaks to a paying costumer like that ! Act more professional! I can hear her yelling in Spanish cursing in the back at the cook and she's talking about how the cook has a new girlfriend when there's 4 people waiting for there food come on !! And she was talking crap about the other employees. I've lost all respect for this place I will never come back again especially after What i just saw the cook and the cashier goofing off in the back instead of speeding up the process of the food when there 4 people waiting. I'm so disappointed it's all because of the unprofessionalism. Who ever the Owner is if your reading this please make adjustments. I've eaten here several times. The chicken is moist. Teriyaki flavor is typical (not too sweet, not bland). Portions are very good. The service is the reason for the low rating. Never a smile or pleasantry from the cashier. Always seems preoccupied. She started to vacuum the eating area while people were still eating (can't wait till there's fewer people?). Today I went to pick up lunch and a drink and they handed me a cup with a hole in the bottom. While sitting there I realized my drink was everywhere and I went to grab the closest napkin, it had forks wrapped in it but I needed to clean up my mess. When I grabbed it the rude lady at the front told me "do not grab those, you're so disrespectful! I took forever to wrap that fork in the napkin..you can wait for me to get you a napkin" WHAT THE HELL?! My drink went all over the table and floor I was being nice and cleaning after myself. My friends and I go in all the timefor lunch.. no more! She's so rude and no customer service. read more
