My steak was good my friend's steak was tough. Outback is a hit or miss with food and service. My experience this evening was awful Jessica took her time coming to our table and it was downhill from there. All the items we requested she took her time responding i.e. extra bread more water, napkins. I gave her my phone number to use my dine rewards our bill came to 89.00 my friend gave her 35.00 in cash and I told her to take the balance off my card. She took off the dine rewards and the balance was 69.00 she never applied the 35.00 in cash and gave me a bill for the same 69.00 instead of deducting the 35.00. She pocketed the cash and said she forgot to apply the 35.00. Called the manager over and she was busted SCAM. Check your bill at Outback in Springfield. read more

Waited for 25 minutes outside for our order after going INSIDE when we got there to advise we were there, etc. Finally went BACK IN and our irder was there with 4 other bags. No apologies, no explanation after waiting 20 minutes PAST the time given for curbside pick up. Food was almost cold after all that. Never again!!!!! read more

Having moved away from the area 12 years ago, I was expecting to have a meal at the Outback location I had known. I was pleasantly surprised to see a new location at the end of the strip of stores. We arrived before 5pm on a Tuesday and had plenty of space for parking. The restaurant was quite large compared to other Outbacks I have visited. The staff were friendly and attentive. We ordered the 12oz rib eye (medium rare) and the 6oz sirloin (medium) with shrimp. Everything was prepared just right with excellent flavor. Would definitely recommend. First, when I walked up the door open and a young man greeted me. I thought he was leaving and being polite but nope he was the hosted. I requested a booth in the bar and took me immediately. A server walked in between us and she quickly apologized. I thought how courteous these folks are Next, once seated I was great by an awesome wait staff named Eliza. She answered all my inquiries about the menu, sides, and drinks and she knows it from memory. Go Boo I was indecisive so I ordered a small coconut shrimp then I decided to go with the four course meal. Interestingly enough she went back and returned with my app. It was piping hot and the coating was a flaky golden brown. Kudos to the cook who didn't burn them because it's so easy to do so. My meal was delicious actually it exceeded my expectation. The potato soup was average but the house salad was no side salad. My steak was juicy and I ordered medium just for that purpose and it was succulent and the broccoli were in halved spears so if you wanted to eat the stalk to you could and I think they were tossed in butter and light seasoning. My server was swift, precise and timely with her service. She was professional friendly yet personable if that makes sense. I liked her level of service and attentiveness. Oh goodness I have to say she gave me a couple of moments to figure out what I wanted. So I appreciate her patience. Come her for superb service. We came in today at 3:30pm (valentines day) and we got seated right away. Our server was very nice and attentive. Apps: blooming onion was great! Nice and crispy, seasoned very well. Main course: 9 oz sirloin cooked medium. The exterior was charred very nicely and but the middle was cooked more towards the medium rarer side. The steak by itself taste very nice but I felt lacked alittle bit. I asked for a side of the bacon bourbon topping and dipping my steak in that transformed the flavor making it much much better. Perfect amount of sweet smoky flavor. My baked potato was pretty dry sadly but I pushed though. Broccoli was very flavorful! Would definitely recommend. On July 8th, I went to the springfield outback along with 3 others. We received top notch service from Aron, our server. Both Aron, and his manager, Devin Dolphin went beyond the call to anticipate an issue before there was one. I ordered the 9 ounce sirloin cooked medium. I am not a customer who says anything about their food unless their is something seriously incorrect. Not only were they kind enough to cut the meet for me, but Devin came out, apologized for how long our food was taking and stated that my steak was slightly overdone and he had already had another one prepared for me.
