We came to Miller's Ale House while staying in Philly for a soccer tournament. We came with a group of 10 17 year olds and about 15 parents. This worked out as their are large tables at this establishment as well as two long and really nice bar areas. We were seated promptly and orders were taken with a lot of efficiency with the big group. People in our group got steaks, sandwiches, burgers, wings, and salad. Second time going here and they have a wide variety of food and drinks here. I have tried the Chicken Parmesan Alfredo, Shrimp Scampi Pasta Bake, and Chicken BLT. I'd give them all a 3/5. Chicken Parm came with Garlic bread on the side and it was quite dry. I have also tried their Bavarian Pretzel before which was soft and delicious. This restaurant was a huge letdown. The service was slow, the food was cold and bland, and the staff didn't seem to care. The people that came 30 minutes after us got there food before us. After a recommendation from a reliable source, we made our way down to Miller's Ale House in Media and we were very pleased! One of the few negatives is that we arrived 'early' to try and avoid the rush. However, there is a 'before 5' special, so it was bustling at 5:30pm. As a result, we had to wait 10-15 minutes. But, it is a new and popular place with a great deal before 5pm, so it makes sense. Once we were seated, FANTASTIC service commenced. From our wonderful server, Hunter, to other staff who stopped by, we were treated so well! Everyone was so friendly and helpful! Thank you! But, most importantly, everyone was SUPER kid friendly. Our 18 month old was treated so well, entertained by the server, and interacted with other staff as well. One server even gave him an applesauce that he loved. For families with kids who want good few, a yummy brew, and a TV to watch a game, this is the place for you! Food was great! Lots of options on the menu that were yummy! I LOVED my blackened chicken salad with the crema! Probably one of my favorite salads ever! My husband really enjoyed his spicy chicken salad and fries (Big Red). The spicy kick was perfect! My brother-in-law also really loved his Philly cheesesteak. My mother-in-law felt so-so about her chicken Alfredo and my sister-in-law felt the same about her burger. My mother-in-law was sad that the chicken Parmesan was only available on the pre-5pm special. She would definitely have ordered it, even at a higher cost, otherwise. Great drink selection! I loved all of the local beer selections! Yum! I got the Purple Monkey Dishwasher (such a good porter!) and my husband got the Up And Our (IPA)! Definitely a great place to come and get a drink! Wife and I brought our daughter here after a sporting event. We were greeted fairly promptly then seated in a mostly empty restaurant next to another occupied table, which I thought was a bit strange but didn't bother me. We waited a bit, perhaps ten minutes, for the server to introduce herself and get our drink order. We ended up ordering an appetizer and our meals at the same time. Drinks came out in a reasonable amount of time, as did our meals, unfortunately our waitress never came back to check on us. She was also serving the table next to us who seemed to be waiting for their check the entire time we were eating. When the waitress finally checked on us, about forty minutes after receiving our food, we had finished our meals, and asked for the check, at which time she realized we had been left with no drinks and proceeded to bring us three waters. Too little too late, in my opinion. It's a shame because the food was good and prices were reasonable, heck of a beer selection as well. I've been here twice and both times have been very good. Parking is not an issue. I usually stick to what I know, so I get the soft pretzel, burger, and cheese curds, capped with some fruity manly drink. Just kidding, but I do get a fruity drink. I think the food is really good for what some may view as "bar" food. I'm at a lost for words with the curds. The burger is bun in a million, and don't get it twisted - the soft pretzel is the bomb. That was corny, but I also heard their corn chowder is delicious. The service is usually nice, attentive, and accommodating to your needs. I've sat at the bar both times but I'm sure it's the same at a table. Miller's is crowded for a reason, because it has great food at affordable prices with good service. One of my daughters and I recently had a very nice lunch at Miller's. The waitress was great - she was attentive but not overbearing, and very friendly and accommodating. We ended up sharing a few things - the huge warm soft pretzel that came with a very tasty beer cheese and a sweet mustard that had sort of an Asian flavor to it (yum!), the Mediterranean flatbread (very good!), and the fried cheese curds that came with a delicious hot honey and ranch for dipping (another yum!). We will definitely be going back. I have seen a lot of bad reviews for the Springfield location and one of my other daughters didn't have the best experience, so I was skeptical but I'm glad I gave it a try. My wife and I decided to stop by late night to eat something quick. We went in looking for service but once she made it over to us it was good. We ordered our drinks from the menu and even though it was the end of the night she was patient and also gave her honest opinion on what she could make. When we were going to order off of the happy hour menu, she told us about a dinner special for wings that was a better deal than what was on the menu. My wife ordered hot garlic and I had garlic parm, which were both great and she also enjoyed some of the Flatbread that was also on the late night menu. We went to the soft opening tonight (Saturday) at 4:00 pm. There was an abundance of staff ready and waiting for guests. They were excited and friendly! We got zingers and southwest egg rolls as appetizers and they were both delicious. The southwest egg rolls were the preferred appetizer out of the two. For dinner we got the black and blue burger, fried shrimp platter, cranberry and walnut salad with steak and the Cajun chicken pasta. Everyone was happy with their choice. No one had any complaints about the food. The burger was large and flavorful, the salad was fresh and delicious and the apple cider vinegarette was delish, the fried shrimp were crispy and good, the cole slaw was good, the pasta was spicy but not overly spicy. All of the food was hot! Service was a little slow at times, we had to ask a few people for sides of things before actually receiving them but this was a practice run so that's to be expected. My husband got a blackberry bourbon smash. It was suuuuuper strong. Felt like I drank a sip of maker's mark. He said it was good. He switched to a beer for his second round. There's an open kitchen and the cooks were wearing beard guards which I very much appreciated. The music was too loud. We often had to say "what" when carrying on a conversation with each other or our waitress. The bathrooms were clean. There were 3 or 4 stalls in the women's room. No one was in there when I was in there. There is a deck area with a bar that has an automatic sliding door to regulate the temperature inside and out. I thought that was cool. The restaurant overall isn't very large. It will be interesting to see how long the waits are when people start rolling in on a regular business night. Especially since this area is really in need of sit down restaurants with table service and not just the millions of "order up" places that we currently have. This was all of our first experience with Miller's. It was a positive experience. Managers and staff were all polite, friendly and excited to be opening on Monday. We will return in the future. My mom and I were given the privilege of babysitting my niece last night so we decided to take her to Milller's for dinner. I had given my mom fair warning that it is very new and probably going to be swamped but we went nonetheless. The restaurant was BUSY. A large number of people were waiting and both bars were full. We check in with one of the many hosts that were ready to greet us and the girl we spoke with was very friendly and quickly imformed us of the 50 minute wait time. We had no issue with that because they use a text message system so we were able to go shopping at TJ maxx while we waited for our table. We received our text message, and were immediately sat. We were greeted by a frIendly server who was training a new employee also. It was apparent she had a full section but she still gave us great service, as did her trainee! We ordered zingers (our favorite) and the kids meal Mac and cheese with applesauce for my niece. The wait was a little long, but again the place was crazy busy so we expected it. The zingers were delicious and my niece devoured her meal, we were very satisfied. The one-star deduction begins here. We each ordered a burger cooked medium- a prime rib burger with onion rings for my mom, and a cue' burger with loaded fries to which I requested no scallions for me. Our server repeated our orders back to us (love when servers do this) and went on her way. A LONG time goes by and we finally get our "medium" burgers. Mine cooked rare to med rare, lacking the bacon on my burger as well as the "loaded" additions to my fries. My moms' came out well-done and lacking the key component of prime rib! Our server checked in with us promptly, and we informed her of the issues (less my undercooked burger because it wasn't too much of a deal breaker for me) to which she responded she'll get me bacon and the correct fries. She also took my mom's burger back to the kitchen and promised her a new one, although my mom insisted she was full anyway and doesn't need a new burger. Typically, I'd be pretty upset about the kitchen's mess ups but the way the managers at this location reacted was remarkable. First, a male manager approaches us and told us he removed the bbhrger from our bill but insists she takes the new one home, and additionally comped my to-go dessert off the check. The free burger would have been sufficient, yet he went above and beyond to ensure we knew that was not the quality Miller's expects of their kitchen. Well done manager #1! Second, a female manager came up to us and gave us a gift card as an apology. She took complete responsibility as she was the manager who was in the kitchen who sent out the incorrect food. In my 10+ years in the restaurant industry, I have NEVER encountered a manager who took accountability like she did, and her staff should be stoked to work with her! Great job manager #2! I am anxious to return to this location as 1. I love Miller's to begin with, but 2. This review is for our most recent trip to Millers. We always start with an order of onion rings which are always spot on, cooked to perfection and tasty. This trip we both decided on burgers, medium well. They were served charred and tasted burnt, we each attempted two bites and stopped. The lettuce was in awful shape it was old and wilted and unusable, it would have gone in the trash at home. But no millers put it under the hot fries - yuck. Although the menu depicted beautiful beefsteak tomatoes instead we received two thinly cut Roma tomatoes. Although our server wasn't at fault for the bad burgers, when we asked to see the manager we told her what the issue was. The manager came around 15 minutes later, she said that what we received was not what we should have gotten. She offered us new burgers but the taste wouldn't go away. The one potential is the grill, but serving us what seemed like it had been on the back of the grill hours before they were served. Also said that we could have had the burgers cook on the flat top and not the grill. She then took the burgers off our bill and we paid for the rings and 1 soda. Comping the entire order would have been great. Giving a gift card would have given us a chance to come back and see if things improved. But we really don't feel like going back to either the media or Springfield locations. PS - what bar doesn't have Miller Lite Draft?? read more

Really enjoyed our inaugural visit to the new spot in Media. I knew of the one in Springfield (and elsewhere), but had never been. Brought my beautiful GF and our two children for an MLK midday meal, and it was a very nice time. I had always suspected that the beer offerings would be predominantly Miller/Coors product, obviously, based on the name, and my suspicion was confirmed - lots of choices, only a few local craft options. There was a brief wait but everyone we dealt with super pleasant, and we were seated a few minutes before the quoted time. The grownups enjoyed the steamed potstickers, which were delicious, and the kids got their food up front off of an extensive and impressive kids menu. Because it was Monday there was a special on the rack of ribs, which I had and loved. The ribs were flavorful, the loaded baked potato was great. Pleasantly surprised. After reading some of the reviews, I was a little bit worried about coming here. However, the food was fantastic! Absolutely everything was delicious. The service was quick and friendly and we greatly enjoyed our meal. The inside is really cute. They also play great music, a mix of rock, alternative, and some country. I enjoyed that the booths are laid out nicely to give a sense of privacy. My only criticism would be is that it's a very small establishment. I'd worry about coming at peak hours.
