We sat outside and really enjoyed our time! The bar was able to make me a pregnancy-safe mojito and it was so refreshing. We started our meal with mild boneless wings which were a great portion, big pieces and the sauce was so good. I had mahi tacos with sweet potato fries on the side they were also so good and the tacos were stuffed basically overflowing with delicious toppings. Our server Michaela was amazing. She went above and beyond with making sure we had a great time. Our food came out so fast. My beer was cold, and the chips that accompanied my sandwich were fine. However, the nearly $18 fried chicken sandwich I ordered was drier than the bottom of my shoe. It was supposed to come with a "blue agave sriracha aioli", but it was just sriracha and it did nothing to help the tiny piece of chicken that barely existed on the gigantic kaiser roll. I've tried several different options here, always hoping this would be the time I finally found what I liked here, and been disappointed every single time. This place was warm and inviting. Perfect cozy place for a chilly fall night. Visited on a Saturday and needless to say it was very busy. Nice crowd young and old. Service was impeccable tonight (young blonde very very nice). We started with fried pickles 9/10. Loved the choice of IPAs and their old fashioned was nice and STRONG! Although the chicken dish (chicken breast, sauteed spinach, crab imperial, and sauce with sides of vegetables) was pretty darn good, my waitress made what I would have to say is THE WORST John Daly I've ever had, then when she asked if I wanted another and I said maybe in a bit, she made me another crappy one. We got a cheesesteak with fried onions, sauteed mushrooms and provolone cheese. The roll was substandard but we cover that in the video. The meat was good but there was not much of it. The fried onions and sauteed mushrooms were very tasty but took over the cheesesteak. Is this a not enough meat or too many fried onions and mushrooms problem? I think it's not enough meat. Made it in time for the late night menu. We ordered the smoked wings 151 style, along with the onion strings. The food was great. The bartender was very friendly and made me and my brother one of their house old fashioned drinks. It is served with rock candy as a stirrer. There are lots of televisions here, and plenty of seating indoor and out front of the building. It is a very clean place. I have been here on numerous occasions and have never had an issue. I was excited by the amount of options on the menu but ended up getting a taco salad while my mom got a cheese burger. The taco salad looked like toppings for nachos minus the lettuce. I've never seen anything like it. Just a few pieces of chicken sliding around with greasy peppers. There was no cheese on my moms burger and it was also really small. My mom never finishes and entire burger but she did with this one and wasn't really satisfied. A college sports bar with unopened bottles of whiskey as its decor. I visited this place out of curiosity. I heard they had a good selection of whiskies and cocktails, and their food menu seemed appealing, so I decided to give it a try. The good: The food. I actually thought it was pretty good for a place that is so obviously a college bar and hangout. The first thing I thought when looking at the menu was Where are the bbq meats? But then as you read through it, you realize that they actually intersperse the bbq throughout their offerings. Pretty clever. My wife and I shared the breakfast burger, the spicy bacon dip, and their hot wings. Also, they have sweet potato fries!!! Not bad at all folks. We enjoyed it. The bad: The bar. It's a poser and not what it claims to be. For a place that touts itself as a whiskey bar, one doesn't get the feeling they are in a whiskey bar. When you look around at the bottles on the back bar, hardly any of them have been opened, with exception to some college bar staples such as Jack Daniel's, Jameson's, and Jim Beam. Sure, they sell a bit of Bulleit but who doesn't. What's worse is that the bar staff have zero knowledge or interest in whiskies. Very disappointing. The beer selection is solid but everyone has that. I did find it strange that they sell Natural Light. What a great way to undermine your whiskies and craft beers. Where they really drop the ball is with their cocktails--just awful and boring. There's no sense of adventure or progressiveness to any of them. It's also very evident that they swiped a few cocktails from a neighboring place. All in all, 2 stars. I'd actually give it 2 1/2. read more

First visit stopping by to listen to live music outside. Ordered drinks and the Chicken Tenders of the "Shareables" menu. We received 3 very, very dry average size pieces of chicken. They were hardly edible and surprised that three chicken tenders are considered shareable for two people. Thankfully there was sauce to dip them in. Found a spot at the bar for 3 of us and Kim took great care of us. I went with the Jerk BBQ option per her suggestion and they were fanfriggintastic. Juicy, yet very crisp. Plump and messy, just the way I like them. Didn't get a chance to order more grub, since we were on a mission to hit up a couple other spots, but I am a big fan on first impression. Some of the reviews of this place are a joke. We get it, you're not cool. Go piss and moan to someone who cares. I love this place. Been here multiple times, both for dinner and late night, and have never had a bad experience. The burgers are great, and they really let you customize them to the way you like it if you want. The portion of fries you get are pretty generous all things considered, and the prices are honestly good for what you get. Add in some dope drinks and a chill atmosphere and you get a place you'll constantly be coming back to. What I love most about this place is how much they support our men and women in uniform. Very, very loud indoor seating. Too many people in our party (10) to be seated outdoors. But we were able to be seated immediately so that was awesome. Excellent service and the employees really hustle and earn tips. I ordered the brisket sandwich and it came with house made chips and 2 dill pickle chips. So I will never go back to this place again and was a frequent customer and love the food. We came in for my GFs daughter's 21st birthday. The bartender (Gina D) decided to turn on the Disney soundtrack the minute we walked in. No one was rowdy or annoying. Sunday night and all were fine. I stayed behind and the minute the last girl walked out the bartender went back to dance music. What kind of service is this? This is how they treat customers? Just horrible. Came here for drinks and dinner after a lacrosse tournament. Felt the need to do this review to highlight the fantastic sangria that one of the bartenders went above and beyond to make us, since this was not on the bar menu. I wish I would have read the reviews prior to visiting. My husband and I go out each week to do our part in helping to support local small business during these Covid times. I will say that the food (burger, wings, chicken sammy) and drinks were great and the service was as well. The atmosphere and the what seem to be the frequent patrons (based on their interactions with the staff and each other) is definitely why I will not return. There were derogatory terms used for LGBTQ community and people of color. Now I know you typically can't hold an establishment accountable for what their patrons do or say, it's evident to me based on prior reviews that Saloon 151 has created an environment where things such as those that we overheard are welcomed. read more
