    Guinness

Nice spot in west Chester to grab a Guinness! The drinks are good, especially the orange crush, but $13 is a little pricey. The Guinness was amazing. Genuinely a great Guiness!! Happy we were able to swing by!

We sat outside and really enjoyed our time! The bar was able to make me a pregnancy-safe mojito and it was so refreshing. We started our meal with mild boneless wings which were a great portion, big pieces and the sauce was so good. I had mahi tacos with sweet potato fries on the side they were also so good and the tacos were stuffed basically overflowing with delicious toppings. Our server Michaela was amazing. She went above and beyond with making sure we had a great time. Our food came out so fast. We had someone smoking right next to our table and she was so kind asking him if he would go around the corner so we could enjoy our time. We really appreciated that!

This place was warm and inviting. Perfect cozy place for a chilly fall night. Visited on a Saturday and needless to say it was very busy. Nice crowd young and old. Service was impeccable tonight (young blonde very very nice). We started with fried pickles 9/10. Loved the choice of IPAs and their old fashioned was nice and STRONG! Food was ok 7/10 we had a burger and pizza. We were excited to get the trifecta dessert. Funnel cake fries were pretty good but pass on the fried cheesecake. Def would return :)

Third time I've gone there. Although the chicken dish (chicken breast, sauteed spinach, crab imperial, and sauce with sides of vegetables) was pretty darn good, my waitress made what I would have to say is THE WORST John Daly I've ever had, then when she asked if I wanted another and I said maybe in a bit, she made me another crappy one. I'll go back but stick to draft beer and the like.

We got a cheesesteak with fried onions, sauteed mushrooms and provolone cheese. The roll was substandard but we cover that in the video. The meat was good but there was not much of it. The fried onions and sauteed mushrooms were very tasty but took over the cheesesteak. Is this a not enough meat or too many fried onions and mushrooms problem? I think it's not enough meat. With all of that said, it's not a bad bar cheesesteak. Jill was amazing.

Those are the most important things for a brewery/taproom to get right, and Levante absolutely does. That said, the taproom can get very loud. If there's a band playing or bingo taking place, having a conversation can be tough. Some people like raucous bars, but I like to be able to shoot the breeze when I'm drinking and actively avoid these events. I also wish they worked with more food trucks that have at least one vegetarian option on the menu. Barbecue or glizzy trucks mean I'm going elsewhere to get my drink on. (A few years ago they ran their own top-notch pizza truck, and if they brought it back, I would probably try to move in.) Anyway, my complaints are minor. Levante is one of my favorite PA breweries; they have great beer and great people, and they deserve every bit of their success. Cheers!

I love that they have a few frozen drink options and also on-tap rotating seasonal mixed drinks. I believe they have wine and some NA options too. They have rotating food trucks but you can also bring your own food as well. There is indoor and a covered outdoor area for seating with a great ambiance & vibe. Children and dogs are welcome. Do not park in the lot next to the building because it is for the US Postal Service and your vehicle will be towed. There is a parking garage around the corner on the corner of Walnut and Chestnut Streets. The cost is 25 cents for every 15 minutes. We ordered an Old-Fashioned with Woodford and a Blueberry Shaker. The Blueberry Shaker was only 3 dollars more than the regular drink and it yielded a total of 4 drinks for my partner. The drinks were good. For our meals we had the Steak and Shrimp Bourbon, Bourbon Street Burger, and a side Caesar Salad. Everything tasted very good. The decor is New Orleans Style although not completely authentic. There is a beer garden for those who want a less formal atmosphere. The hostess was incredibly good at her job. She was very friendly and engaging. We really enjoyed her service. First, my girlfriend and I arrived to the restaurant. We requested a specific table, and the host was gracious enough to do so. We then waited 8 minutes before our table was even touched, and it was just our (server? No intro, nothing) ASKING us if we'd like water. We say yes, and then waited an additional 5 minutes just to receive water in PLASTIC cups. Again, this person never told us his name, and we weren't even sure if he was taking our order or not. He appeared to be about 18, and was most certainly high Then, we requested glasses, and since it had been 15+ minutes since we sat down, said we were ready to order when we got the glasses. The guy took our order. We both got cocktails, which also took about 10 minutes. Finally, our appetizer came. We weren't even halfway through before the entrees came, we probably had about 10 minutes to finish it. This all could have been negated if our order was taken correctly, and things could have been staggered correctly. The "two bite" check occurred within 30 seconds of our food being dropped, and by then I hadn't even touched my food. It was way too early and felt like he was just trying to get it out of the way. At that point both my girlfriend and I were just ready to eat and we said everything was fine. I had to ask the guy for a bag on the way out, rather than him giving me one after our food was put into 3 boxes. I want to be empathetic of whatever was going on at The Social that Sunday. Yet, if you are going to make your steak $42, the service needs to justify that price. I will not be going back to The Social, and encourage their management to speak to their server who flubbed the ENTIRETY of my experience there. Myself and my girlfriend both work in the service / restaurant industry, and we know what good service is. We also understand that there are bad days. This was just abysmal. 4/10.

Great place to catch up with like minded sport, travel and political friends. Ron the bartender during the day is the GOAT of bartending in Chester county maybe all of PA. Secret thing to know is that they will roll up that "best of" cheesesteak into a wrap and put a fried egg and jalapeños in it if you're willing to give up a little of that incredible steak because you just can't get that much meat into a wrap! . We were promptly seated in a mostly full dining area just to the right of the entrance around 12:30 pm on a Thursday. The dining room was spacious with plenty of room between tables though the booths are a tad tight. A large bar area with lots of TVs looked appealing as well. Drinks were quickly ordered and served as we perused the menu. While we had both looked at the menu prior to coming, and had an idea of what we wanted, there were so many appealing options that we second guessed a little as we made the tough decisions to not order way more than we could consume. Finally we decided on The Hot Roast Beef Sandwich with fries, the Ribeye Cheesesteak with fries, and a bowl of the Tomato, Bacon Mac & Cheese with the agreement to split the sandwiches and mac & cheese so we could both try additional items. Three very full and visually appealing plates of food arrived quickly (about 10-12 minutes after ordering) and we were ready to dig in. First up was the Ribeye Cheesesteak with caramelized stout onions, truffled local mushrooms, and sharp provolone on a Liscio's roll. Immediately viewable was the limited amount of cheese that was only lining the roll and not mixed into the meat in any way. Biting into the sandwich revealed a dry meat with a distinctly non-cheesesteak flavor. It wasn't bad, but it just tasted like a bland steak and cheese sandwich. The sharp provolone didn't make it to the party and had no noticeable presence. After eating half of my portion I added some ketchup which helped some with the dryness. This was a 25 out of 5 and I wouldn't bother ordering it again. I also started to consume the shoestring french fries while I ate the cheesesteak, and they were delicious. Crisp with just the right amount of salt. 4.5 out of 5. Next up was the Hot Roast Beef Sandwich with thinly shaved Black Angus beef that is roasted daily, served with Au Jus, and horseradish sauce on a long roll. Topped with cheese and loaded with meat, this is what I was most looking forward to and couldn't wait to take a bite. I wish I hadn't! By itself, this was probably the blandest sandwich I have ever had in my life, while dipping into the Au Jus definitely improved the flavor, it still wasn't enough. I tried adding the horseradish sauce, but that was a sad approximation of real horseradish. Worst of all was the meat itself, where I had three different bites that were fatty/gristly and couldn't be chewed. Can't say I've ever had that from a roast beef sandwich before. 1.5 out of 5. Lastly, we had the Tomato, Bacon Mac & Cheese consisting of cavatappi pasta, applewood smoked bacon, and some diced tomato. This was sadly also a disappointment. The quality of the cheese left something to be desired and the sauce was very runny in consistency even after letting it sit for 10 mins while everything else was eaten. Another bland dish that neither of us even bothered to finish or box up to take home. Ketchup couldn't save this. 2 out of 5. Other than the fries, the only other bright spot was the service. Our waitress Isabella was polite, attentive, and performed her job well. Refilling drinks and making sure we were taken care of. 5 out of 5 for service. Affordability... for the three dishes and two Diet Cokes the total came to $57.27 with tax plus a $12 tip. The portion sizes were strong, but the flavor eliminated any value proposition. Overall, the food looked far better than it tasted and I was really disappointed in the meal. I had hoped I'd found a good local pub to take family and friends, but The Stone Tavern doesn't cut it. 2 out of 5 rating with no good reason to return.
