I was craving Outback after a long shift and my party and I came during the Sunday evening crowd. It was super busy, but the wait was definitely worth it. The food was fresh and delicious. Can never go wrong with the mild wings and the fried chicken. We had room for dessert and to my surprise they had a cookie skillet!! Ice cream paired perfectly with the thick and melt in your mouth cookie. I hope it isn't a limited time offer and is an official addition to the Outback dessert lineup. Steak was ok. Shrimp app was good but a tad bit over whelming (on me not on Outback). Love the creamed spinach and the loaded backed potato. The onion is always amazing. Been here a few times now and usually I have a relatively good experience but not this time. I entered at the same time as two other groups did, there was no house in front. About 30 seconds in she is walking to the front and points at me and ask am I uber waiting for pickup, not sure why she pointed at me as opposed to the other groups but that kind of set the temple going forward. I asked for a Cesar salad with no croutons and it came with croutons and was full of the hard parts of the lettuce. I happen to like Outback. I normally have a great meal. The service was kind of slow. We must have sat at our seats for about 10 minutes before anyone came to speak to us. The place was not packed, which is why I was a bit annoyed by the slow service. Once my meal came, it was ok. The lobster tail was amazing!!! My prime rib was not so much. The meat was flavorful and butter tender, but by the time i was done, my 12 oz steak wound up being about 7 oz edible meat. 40% of it was fat. They serve tall mugs of ice cold beer for just $5, which hit the spot on a hot summer day. Waiter was nice but didn't offer much assistance with the menu. Expected us to know exactly what potato and sides options there were and didn't try to explain anything more than was directly asked. They serve complimentary warm wheat bread and whipped butter which was comparable to Cheesecake Factory - quite good. Steaks all came out perfectly cooked, tender, and nicely seasoned. Broccoli was fine but the zucchini and carrots tasted old / frozen. The potato sides were tasty but were all loaded with butter - wish I knew that so I could ask them to put the butter on the side or hold it all together. Prices are quite reasonable. The steak was cooked exactly how I ordered (medium-rare), well-seasoned, and had that signature Outback sear that gives it so much flavor. None of this "call ahead to some future date" was advertised or promoted.
