I was in the mood for some portuguese food and I was in the area, so I decided to stop by since the reviews were good. The have a parking lot attached, which is great. As others have mentioned, the decor is outdated, but that never matters to me as long as the place is clean and the food is good. I tried the picanha and ribs, and although the food was perfectly seasoned, it was well done and far from the medium-rare I requested. The portions are big, even for lunch. For $12, I got picanha, ribs, rice, fries, and salad. You really can't beat that. I also ordered a serradura and it tasted like it had been in the fridge for a while. Definitely not fresh and I couldn't even eat it because it was unappetizing. The employees were very nice, although they seemed to be a bit understaffed. Would I eat here again? Possibly, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. I'm guessing this was a fluke, because others seem to have had a good experience here.

#22 half order of mixed grilled meats

I came here with my Boo Boo and her younger brother fro dinner this past weekend. We usually eat at La fortuna when we are nearby the hillside/union/Elizabeth area. We decided in this place because we want to get steak without paying $$$. The place is dated/old. The TVs are still in box form and hanging from the table. The high ceiling. The waitress' English is not that great. They can get by but don't expect them to be to explain specifics items. We ordered a whole a lot of food (see uploaded pics). We could have done without the #54. The steaks we got were seasoned right with salt and cooked properly. CC accepted. I'd come back but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

Great brazilian food. I ordered the picanha with rice. It was cooked and seasoned pretty well. It's a small place so best for small gatherings. But if booked in advance they can serve a table for up to at least 10 people. Also had their caipirinha as a drink which was made well, not too sweet. Would definitely recommend if anyone is looking for authentic Brazilian food in the area. Dress code: dress down.

Garlic bread w cheese.. unreal!

Found my new portuguese/brasilian spot!!!! I mean.. unreal. This coming off the heals of having the worst experience to date from burnet bbq. Sorry not sorry, burnet bbq, but we are done! Rei da picanha is hands down the best spot in the area outside of down neck. Ordered cheese steak sandwiches, very simple, with a few extra ingredients on top, and it was out of this world. Also ordered the garlic bread w cheese and im salivating over the thought of it! The food was still warm when it was delivered (only via grubhub, ubereats), and the quality was superb. This was my first time ordering fron Rei, but most certainly wont be the last.. thanks for your dedication to quality!

Food was delicious and worth the wait; service a little slow but the staff is friendly...

Looks a little skeptical from the outside but once you go it transforms to a old timey steakhouse vibe. Very clean and great service. I ordered the parillada and WOW. It was amazing and cooked to a perfect medium well! Definitely coming back again!

The place was super clean, Pleasants, Aunt, ambience and very very tidy and let me tell you the food was the star of the show. My husband got the spaghetti and meatballs and he ate every single drop on that plate. He did give me one bite and it was extraordinarily delicious for just being your simple spaghetti and meatballs on the menu. I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Josephine chicken cutlet sandwich, which was a delightful meal of a perfectly cook chicken cutlet that was crunchy and crispy and flavorful, fresh buffalo mozzarella, and a large portion of prosciutto on the sandwich with some cherry, hot peppers, sliced very thin and some arugula to set it off Tom, the gentleman with a thick mustache seem to brighten up and be more pleasant. Once we started talking to him about the new location and he really was a delightful person to speak to, and he was our server. He offered me oil and vinegar to put on my sandwich, but it was so flavorful and delicious that it did not need those items. It seemed like it was on a long baguette and cut the four pieces about four or 5 inches long. I was actually very pleasantly surprised at the size of the sandwich which ran me about $16.95 for my lunch and I ate every bit of it. It was spectacular. I'm actually not even a person who enjoys very spicy, but the flair of spice was just absolutely complementary. I am supposed to go back up North Jersey later this week, and I am really counting down the days until I can get up there and possibly have lunch again. We went into this establishment, and I had previously called to speak to Charlie the manager when we were told about this delicious restaurant to host my mother's repass since she recently passed away. I know that Italians love their food, and my husband and I were just so happily surprised at the delicious flavor of our meals. We look forward to being able to go up there again and hope that we will be able to have Cioffis restaurant in pizzeria. I am really excited. I'm not sure how many more times I can tell you that lol if you're in New Jersey and don't mind an hour drive each direction, you will not be disappointed because I can tell you firsthand that they take extra special care and pour their heart into your meal. Until next time, ciao for now.

Qsina 8 in Union, NJ, is an acclaimed Filipino-Asian fusion restaurant. Diners and costumers like…read moreme praise the authentic homestyle dishes, standout flavors, generous portions, and exceptionally very friendly and warm service, though some of my companions note a plain ambiance and higher price points ( for me their pleasing food quality and taste outweighs the price ). The Chicken Sisig, Palabok, pork BBQ and sizzling Biko with ice cream are a must-try from the food menu. The appetizers, like the piping hot vegetable lumpia and their humongous portion of Halo-halo as dessert are highly recommended by me and other reviewers. When we dined at this place, the whole staff gave me a feeling as if I was eating at an aunt's house, with the owner and staff providing very welcoming, family-style care. I have been living in NY for more than 30 years, have already eaten in so many low and high-end Filipino restaurants, in terms of food quality and taste, I may say this by far is the best that I have experienced. If given the chance to be in New Jersey again, I will definitely, 100% be back to this place for their delicious and flavorful food. Some of my companions point out that the seating area is relatively small, which can lead to limited availability during peak times, and a few note the interior decor is fairly plain but it did not matter to me because the food that I ordered/tried were great and amazing (properly spiced, cooked very well and soooooooo delicious!! ). Food portions are generous, presentation was appetizing and excellent, staff service was attentive and great ( I noticed that our water glasses were always filled up which is a service very consistent in so many high-priced restaurants that I have been ). Table setting is good, food utensils and plates were very clean ( yes, I checked it! ). I am extremely satisfied with my food experience and the hospitality of the owner and their staff in this Filipino restaurant. HIGHLY RECOMMENDABLE!!!

Service wasn't that great and we were the only customers there at the time then other guest staggered in . I'm all for restaurants thriving and always wish them luck but holy cow prices are crazy average appetizers are $16.50 or more and entree dishes are $25 or more for serving sizes and flavors are really lacking in a lot of dishes . Lechon was cut thinner not the usual big chunks and the oil tasted old and was greasy . Sinigang with the Baboy was very underwhelming the Baboy wasn't boiled down enough . The sisig has too much of a soy sauce taste and way too much mayo on top . The chicharron bulaklak was okay could have used a bit more seasoning and seemed to be a popular item that day . The BBQ stick was decent but not for $18 . Being Filipino myself I know everyone has their own way of making certain dishes so people may like it but in my opinion I've had better at a few other spots . Wishing them all the best .

10/10 - Truly the best Colombian food around!…read more Sabor de Mi Tierra is absolutely top notch. We've been coming here since the pandemic -- they opened just a week before lockdown, and we supported them with takeout back then. Once we were able to dine in, we've been coming back nonstop ever since. The food is incredible, hands down the best Colombian food in the area (and honestly much better than Noches -- less salty, more flavorful, and always consistent). Everything is on point whether you come for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. My go-to is the carne asada con arepa y queso, and my wife always gets the huevos rancheros. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The service is just as amazing as the food. Every single server is kind, welcoming, and so sweet. Our favorites are Liliana and Jennifer -- total sweethearts. The owner, Carlos, is wonderful too. Every time we walk in, we feel like family. The atmosphere was welcoming and lively. I was greeted promptly by a friendly young lady at the front and she suggested that I try the beef empanadas. They only cost a few dollars so I went ahead and bought two. So as I walked to the car, which was conveniently parked in the lot behind the restaurant, I immediately unwrapped my empanada. At first, I thought it was going to be like other empanadas that I've tried which have a crispy shell however these empanadas are similar in a way, but are very different in texture. These empanadas are a bit softer on the outside and have a denser inside filling which include potatoes and beef and it was quite delicious. I thought I could eat both of them, but after one I was full. I will definitely be back to the restaurant since I'm always in that area and it's literally five minutes from where I live. I can't wait to try other items on their menu.
