3 course excellent deal, service superb. Issue was with main course Coconut shrimp over fried, very thick breading, but otherwise tasty. Baked potato was on the cool side. Floors slippery. Military discount.

Thet are obviously struggling from a labor issue as we had a 15-20 minute wait, despite there being loads of empty tables and it didn't seem due to social distancing. Our waiter Robert was very pleasant, and let us know in advance the kitchen was slow, backed up, and training, but we were not in a rush. Ceasar Salad was quite tasty. My wife's bourbon sirloin looked good, was perfectly cooked, but chewy as shoe leather. Such a disappointment. I got the Bloomin Chicken which was good, but too much breading for a chicken breast pounded so thin. The breading overwhelmed the chicken. Also a disappointment. The fries with my meal were were perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked making it and my Ceasar salad the best parts of our meals tonight. If Outback could improve the food up to Robert's level of service, our dinner would have been a 4.5 rather than 3 star.

This place is alright for a chain restaurant. The first thing I did after ordering was go wash my hands and the restroom had iron stains on the rim of the toilet making it clear they haven't cleaned the restroom in a long while. The restroom also smelled disgusting. My boyfriend got a burger and it was definitely undercooked and cold, the cheese was not even melted. I think our food sat a bit before coming out. Also my salad definitely looked like some of the lettuce look like it was going bad. The food isn't exceptional and the service is alright. The food came fast but it seemed too quick. I didn't finish my appetizer by the time my meal came.

With a heavy mound of onions and mushrooms on top, the grits ended up feeling dry and pulled all the moisture out of the bite. The flavor itself was fine, just lacking moisture and balance. We also ordered the scallops and risotto. The risotto was the standout. Bright, fresh finish, great texture, and not overpowering. The scallops, unfortunately, were the opposite. They had a noticeably strong smell right away, which usually means they're not as fresh as they should be, especially at a $40 price point. We took them home, but every time we opened the fridge the smell hit us, so they ultimately went in the trash. Despite this particular experience, we've always enjoyed this place. Service is consistently great, drinks are solid, and we usually leave happy. Hoping this was just an off evening, because we genuinely like coming here. Adding an additional * for the great service and because we haven't had a bad experience otherwise.

They were clearly understaffed, which was apparent from checking in with the hostess. The line of people waiting to check in with her caused the waiter taking desserts downstairs to have to wait up to five minutes with that tray. Once we were seated, we thought things might go better. Crab cake Benedict was the #1 choice for my wife and BIL, but the kids' menu didn't have the chicken and waffles the guy who called to confirm my reservation had mentioned. That was no problem because my kids have learned to find something to eat wherever we take them, and I ordered chicken and waffles to share with them because I love my kids and knew I would get enough food one way or another. The mimosa came in a wine glass because they had run out of flutes, which was fine by my wife, but she said they tasted heavier on the juice than on the prosecco. My waffles came out a bit burnt, but they replaced them with no problem when we pointed it out. My kids got fresh waffles, and I enjoyed the burnt ones. The chicken was one decent piece for a person, but split between my daughter and me was less than I had hoped for. Thankfully, the salad was a decent appetizer. When the crab cakes Benedict came, we were shocked to see a mess of scrambled eggs on a thin crab cake with an English muffin under. We always ask for hollandaise on the side because that sauce can go several different ways of bad, but in this instance we were genuinely confused how a benedict could come with anything other than poached eggs! The flavor was okay, but the texture and presentation left a lot to be desired. My wife only finished half of hers and didn't touch the limp fries. You can probably figure out how I made do with food in this instance. Our kids, meanwhile, devoured their food like we had starved them their whole lives, so on the plus side we didn't have to hear kids whining about food! Service was polite but very slow. I don't know that we'll be back. With the abundance of good restaurants in our area, it's going to be hard to justify returning here.

We had reservations for 5:30 and they quickly seated us. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and attentive and we never lacked for drink refills. The seating is comfortable and there is upstairs dining accessible by elevator. I ordered the special, a thick cut pork chop. While my wife had the Trout Almondine. For side we chose the creamed kale and risotto. Before our dishes came out I had the kitchen salad with bleu cheese dressing and their complimentary bread. The dipping sauce was nice and a real twang. It was nice and unique for a few bites, but the vinegar was too strong to enjoy it past a few tastings. The salads were nice but nothing terribly exciting and with big leafs of greenery on a flat plate to challenge your dexterity. My pork chop was perfectly cooked and the flavors were fantastic. I'm not a kale fan, but there take was very good. Although the amount of lemon used in the flavoring was a bit too strong for more than a few bites. My risotto also had a sour note, but not as strong, and they were wonderfully creamy. We sampled each other's entrees and I'm not a fish person, but I almost (but not quite) almost regretted not getting the trout. It was absolutely delicious. And the sauce on my pork chop was fantastic. At the end of our meal I visited the restroom, which was where things turned downhill. I know older buildings can be a challenge to keep nice, and there's no predicting when a previous patron can leave a mess. But when I saw the revolting detritus piled in the corner, it was obvious the dirtiness of the bathroom was due to staff neglect over an extended period.

And I was instantly imbued with the knowledge that this cake would heal all my past traumas, pay off my student loans, and give me winning lottery numbers. Only time will tell on all counts. But if you order one thing at that restaurant, I demand it be that cake. The person handling those cakes went to the Hogwarts' Academy of Culinary Wizardry. I can hardly describe it and I have no idea what flavor ice cream is on top except it's the best one. If you like food, but especially butterscotch, or not - you need this cake. I blacked out after that and woke up here on Yelp, so... Please go try that cake.

The darts, bowling, and arcade looked enticing but I was on a timeline and couldn't partake. They have a mix of 80's and later music that was very enjoyable and at just the right volume. I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken. But unlike the typical serving of a flat piece of chicken these were two chicken breasts on top of chunky mashed potatoes made with peel on, and topped with a jalapeno bacon gravy. The textures and flavors were perfect and despite the visibility of jalapenos in the gravy, the heat was barely detectable. The side of green beans had a wonderful garlic seasoning and were perfectly cooked and had that nice crunch still in them. Multiple staff came by to chat and ensure everything was perfect and ensure my drink was always refilled, and even management came by to check my table. Their friendliness was warm and genuine and I was very impressed. I look forward to trying some of their other dishes.

Things got even stranger when we learned there was no chef in the kitchen. Instead, the general manager was back there trying to cook. It very clearly was not working. We ordered appetizers and waited about 45 minutes for what I believe was a seafood dip. When it finally arrived, it came out as a thin, runny soup. Not a dip. A soup. On top of that, it was so aggressively spicy it was nearly inedible. It honestly felt like no one back there had ever made the dish before. The food, flat out, gets a zero from me. If I could give it a negative score, I would. That said, the front-of-house staff deserves credit. They were polite, professional, and clearly trying to manage an impossible situation created by the kitchen. I felt for them, because they were the ones having to face guests while everything behind the scenes was falling apart. Again, this is based on a single experience, and I truly hope it was an off night that's been corrected. If not, I don't see how a place like this could survive. The concept is good, the people up front were good, but the kitchen that night was a complete failure. The entire 2 hour + experience was comp'd.

The side patio had heaters going and it was a really pleasant experience out there now that the weather has cooled down. But y'all... Por que no gusto? I was so happy to see that little paper boat full of Brussels sprouts and they were so crispy. But I think I've said all along that "chipotle ranch" feels like a misnomer because I sense neither. (Husband confirms.) Yet they were SO good the first few times I had them, whatever they're dusted in. I stopped to think maybe my preferences have just changed that significantly in the past year or so. I absolutely did not taste Husband's drink because brown likka is diabolical. But he was a fan! He had me try an onion ring and it was just okay as well, unfortunately. They were definitely thin & crispy but I like a LITTLE somethin' to my food. Got the jalapeño poppers and the chicken with the ranch on it was amazing. I also got the huevos rancheros burger which was solid, not the biggest fan of the guacamole but that's just my personal opinion. The quality of the beef was amazing and the fact they will cook it to your preference is what is going to make me come back. I also like that the prices are affordable but you still get quality. Did takeout cause we were working an event at the Mill but I'm sure service is amazing. Ambiance is solid because they have indoor and a walk up counter. Hot days in sure inside is better but when events are going on at the mill I can see why they so packed. Give this place a try, something for everyone for sure.
