Woe is me! We went to Community Burger last night after browsing around The Mill and I ate my food thinking "Am I to blame...?" I wasn't especially hungry but Husband was and it had been a minute since we had burgers. I said "As long as they have the sprouts..." IYKYK. The girl at the counter was adorable and super nice, she confirmed they did have sprouts so I just got that and a Coke. My husband got a cinnamon apple whiskey sour, the mushroom Swiss burger and onion rings. The side patio had heaters going and it was a really pleasant experience out there now that the weather has cooled down. But y'all... Por que no gusto? I was so happy to see that little paper boat full of Brussels sprouts and they were so crispy. But I think I've said all along that "chipotle ranch" feels like a misnomer because I sense neither. (Husband confirms.) Yet they were SO good the first few times I had them, whatever they're dusted in. I stopped to think maybe my preferences have just changed that significantly in the past year or so. I absolutely did not taste Husband's drink because brown likka is diabolical. But he was a fan! He had me try an onion ring and it was just okay as well, unfortunately. They were definitely thin & crispy but I like a LITTLE somethin' to my food. I was thinking I must have the 'Rona until I tasted his burger. So they CAN still cook good burgers, okay? And that's good because...it's Community Burger. I know we don't need a flavor cage match at every meal, but I honestly think they could probably do more with salt/pepper/garlic. I cannot appreciate how tough the services industries have it right now, and I am rooting for Community Burger to succeed. Really like this place. Really good burgers (lots of interesting mixes if you want to explore flavors) and the appetizers are amazing. Got the jalapeño poppers and the chicken with the ranch on it was amazing. I also got the huevos rancheros burger which was solid, not the biggest fan of the guacamole but that's just my personal opinion. The quality of the beef was amazing and the fact they will cook it to your preference is what is going to make me come back. I also like that the prices are affordable but you still get quality. Did takeout cause we were working an event at the Mill but I'm sure service is amazing. Ambiance is solid because they have indoor and a walk up counter. Hot days in sure inside is better but when events are going on at the mill I can see why they so packed. Give this place a try, something for everyone for sure. read more

Love the are that this restaurant is in. Great place to hang out and just have fun. Food was pretty good. 3 burger combos with two appetizers was almost $70.00 with tip. Only negative was that the appetizers were really small. Pictures online look much bigger than what you get. I got a French dip burger. Very unique and very good! I've eaten here many times now, and I've had a great experience every time. Everything I've gotten has been good. I used to get the salmon sandwich every time bc it was soooo good. This place has gone downhill. Wanted a regular sized cheeseburger for my kids. They gave me a basic smash burger that was the same price as a kids burger but then without included sides, etc. Was real clear I wanted a larger burger. I think what I was after was the cheddar burger but they didn't help me with the menu. They charge an extra .60 for lettuce, tomato, etc. and for the kids meal I didn't want drinks and they wouldn't just give me some lettuce. On my Texican they put pickled jalapeños instead of roasted green chilis and the two are NOT THE SAME. Wasn't told about the sub. Kitchen staff drinking and using phones in food prep area. We ordered the pretzel as our starter. It was tough, dry, and dense and I've had better at gas stations. All three sauces were served cold, including the pub cheese. The sour cream and horseradish was a neat option, and the pub cheese had a good flavor which would have been better if served hot. One of them also had a nice strong garlic kick. The third was typical brown mustard. My wife got the Hatch Chili, Peach-Glazed Chicken sandwich, and the chicken was very tough although she said it had a great flavor. But she struggled to eat it due to the leathery skin. I had the Triple B burger and the blackened patty was nice and tasty and cooked properly. The bacon paired nicely with the Bleu Cheese sauce. But the Sugar Ray's BBQ sauce and hot sauce took in a flavor direction that didn't work for me. The tots that I got as my side were gigantic, and were visually amazing. However, I only ate a couple of them because they were so filling. While they were unique, they don't stack up to normal tots because of the crispy shell doesn't balance to mass of the potato center. And the texture made me think I was eating cornbread. But I will admit that the inside was properly cooked and the outside was nice and crispy, but it seems they focused on uniqueness rather than enjoyableness. Service was adequate since it's counter ordering and you have to bus your own table and fill your own soft drinks. It's a small place with just a few tables inside, and their outside seating is actually bigger than that on the inside. The covered patio had plastic sheeting to make it useable to patrons bundled up against the cold winter rain. We ate inside and the hard concrete floors and glass walls made for an echo chamber. No loud TVs, thankfully so the noise level wasn't overpowering. read more

Another great add to the "Mill on Etowah". Community Burger just opened on 08/10/22 and already is a big hit. An order at the counter eatery with a nice array of different types of burgers and some cool sides and salads. A little small on the seating inside but the roofed patio has some additional seating. I like that fact that they also serve some alcoholic beverages. I ordered the Italian Sausage with grilled peppers and onions thinking it would come on a hoagie roll. I was surprised that it came out looking just like a hamburger. But it's a burger place right? Lol I had to ask. So it's ground up Italian sausage made into a patty and surprise, on a burger bun. Lol. Very unique and it was delicious. Also you have to try the hand made Bacon Cheddar Hash Browns. They were delicious. Crispy golden brown on the outside and soft creamy tender on the inside. WoW!! Fell into this spot with my boys and really enjoyed the experience. We got the brunch burger, the double smash burger and the blackened grouper sandwich...literally cleaned our plates. I love that there are several choices for sides because the fries were crisp and good but the brussels sprouts were amazing. This place is not as good as it used to be. Poorly cooked food and they don't listen when you order. My wife got a burger that wasn't even cooked (raw) and it was dripping of grease. I order a grilled chicken sandwich and was very clear I did not want any sauce or condiments and it was loaded with it. When I brought it back they looked confused why I was complaining. I should have known when I walked in at 630 on a Friday night and there was only a few customers as before it would have been packed. Community Burger is so yummy we went two days in a row. First impression, everyone was so nice and friendly. The manager spoke with us and the chef came around to check on everything. I ordered a salad and a side of Brussel sprouts which were very tasty. My hubby had a signature burger and said it was cooked to his liking. We were very pleased. Today, we went back because he was craving a burger with fried egg and onion straws. We decided to get an appetizer of pickled fried okra with ranch dressing. These were a great starter. Tangy but not too much and the ranch accompanied perfectly. I tried the sweet potato fries and the salmon burger with arugula and homemade dill tartar sauce. It was juicy and one of the best salmon burgers I've had. Next on my list is the Veggie burger made with porcini mushrooms, garbanzo beans, and farro and the tuna burger with a crazy crunchy slaw. Oh and the deviled eggs sound great too. My only vice is that they don't offer homemade sweet tea. With as good as the food is though, I'll happily drink a coke. I really want every business at the Mill on Etowah to succeed. I will even pay a little more for things there than your average dinner places knowing it is small business owners. BUT you have to deliver the basics and right it "okay" is the best it gets. Two of us ate, so 2 burgers, an order of fries and one order of tater tots. No drinks. $36. Burgers were just okay. I have the French dip. The au jus was good. Burger was average. Wife had the veggie burger. Pretty much just okay. Fries were soggy. Tater tots are unique and not too bad. More like fried mashed potato squares. If you're going to survive and bring customers back time and time again at that price point, it HAS to be great! IT's got to step up. Otherwise, "Good" is what you'll get and good is probably not good enough. Please make me love you guys! read more

Fun little spot. Reasonably priced. Here's what we got.. Fried pickles -- delicious. Will get again. Jalapeño poppers -- These were slightly better than the ones I got at Guy Fieri's restaurant up at the Harrah's Cherokee Casino -- which were awful. Again, typically jalapeño poppers are filled with cream cheese, battered and fried, then served with a sweet raspberry sauce . These were filled with some chicken and corn mixture with bacon. The filling was a little meally and not quite savory. Some sort of sauce would go along way to help these... Maybe some salt somewhere in there. I won't be getting these again. Chicken fingers and fries -- my daughter loved them. I tried the chicken and it was very good. That's what I'm getting next time. Son got the sausage with mac n cheese. He requested no sauce or onions. He was told the sauces were on the table and that you add that yourself. It came with mustard on it anyway *sigh*. He gave the mac n cheese 3 out of 5. He's 12. They have a nice concept. The menu is great, but the food quality levels a lot to be desired. We ordered the Grouper sandwich "corn dusted" which means fried. I ordered as described in the menu with spicy tarter sauce. My wife ordered the same thing, but asked for the tartar sauce on the side. We got two completely different looking sandwiches. One was stripped down with minimal tomatoes and onions and no lettuce. The other had it all piled on. My wife's fish was translucent when she bit into it - meaning undercooked. The grease in both sandwiches was heavy. We also ordered some onion rings which were laden with grease. We threw the $35 meal away and left. First time trying this place. This is a restaurant where you place your order at the counter and wait until your order is complete. I was not aware that it was a first come first serve with seating, however, the food is served in to-go containers and there's a lawn with tables right behind the restaurant to sit and enjoy your food. We went for dinner and ate on the lawn while we listened to live music. We all ate the salmon burger, and it was fantastic. They also have gluten free options. They do serve alcohol. What a fun place! The service is friendly and the owner stopped by our table to welcome us and chat! The porch is perfect! They look like they serve all kinds of drinks. We were there for a burger and boy it didn't disappoint! We split and so glad we did! The flavor is delish and very filling with the blue cheese. We enjoyed the crinkle Fries but heard after we should have tried the tots. (Next time!) we did save room for a shake which was whipped cream good! Not over the top, but yummy none the less. I gotta say the food was pretty good and definitely filling! Since I don't eat meat I greatly enjoy when places have homemade veggie Pattie's instead of the impossible or beyond burgers. They make a chickpea patty, the vegetarian burger, which is what I got, I'm a saucey gal so I wish they would have put a sauce on there but overall it was pretty good! Nice small little food spot if you're not looking to go into a restaurant restaurant type vibe, and had nice outdoor seating options. I'm not sure what the hype is all about. The Texican burger and onion rings were just 'meh'. I got a sausage hotdog and it was just "ok", the weiner was split fried and covered in grilled onions. The tots were pretty good, square in shape. One of the reasons we stopped in was the 'My community matters' program. We weren't given any tokens once we ordered, and they weren't on the tray when delivered. We asked Tony, the guy who brought the food over, about the tokens, he nodded, then left and never came back. We tried Comunity Burger in Canton for the first time today, 8/12/2023. We ordered 3 burger combos and a hotdog combo. Each of us got the fries and I opted to try the coleslaw. The burgers were good, no complaints at all with the burger. But, the fries were hard and burnt! They had obviously been sitting under the heat lamp for a couple of days. Okay, so let's hope the fries were not that old, but they sure seemed that old. As we were leaving I mentioned the fact that the fries were burnt and hard to the manager. The manager did ask us if we wanted him to have the chief make us some more fries. But, as I told him we were leaving and it was so obvious that if he just had someone looking at the plates before he sent them out, he could have avoided serving hard and burnt fries to his guest today. This really put a damper on our experience. Our expectations were at least a decent meal, and though the burgers were good, the fries killed the experience for us.
