This place is beyond good. Came for lunch on my bday and after eating there my wife and I will for sure be back. I got the fried pork chop and it is seasoned well, light and not too salty and the mashed potatoes are awesome. Made 2 meals for me. My wife got the fried grouper sandwich and it was also good. Fish was good just needed a lil lemon but that's normal for all good fish. I think I'll get the fish next time myself. Service was good, waitress was so friendly and attentive. She was very honest and helped us with the specials. Ambiance is normal for a restaurant like this. Clean booths, fish stuff on alls and each table has a hook board to enjoy. If you're in Canton you have to give this place a try. Great, family-owned restaurant with friendly service, great food and a full bar. Today they had $5 mimosas and blood marys. The pecan crusted catfish was crispy and juicy, that crust is something to talk about. The shoestring fries were well seasoned. The beer battered cod was also amazing. From an appetizer we had the pimiento cheese and jam with pita chips. The pita chips were freshly fried and so good, but that cheese dip and peach jam were top-notch!They had a good crowd inside for a Sunday afternoon and we sat on the patio which is super cute and dog-friendly. My husband, sister and I were there today..6-19-25 around noon. It was my second time there and I was looking so forward to the grouper bites. We all three ordered "Grouper Bites" and the wedge salad. Some of the fish, when I broke it open after tasting the first one , was white in color but didn't taste like grouper at all. It didn't look anything like the grouper I had eaten before. The breading wasn't the same as the first time I ate there either. About half of my pieces were catfish! and all of it tasted fishy. Same for hubby and sister. I lived in Florida for years and I know the difference between grouper and catfish. . I told the waitress and she said maybe the cook grabbed some wrong pieces. She did offer to cook more but I couldn't eat anymore and as we had shopping to do and no way to keep it cold. This is absolutely ridiculous to order and pay the price for Grouper and get something else. It scares me because I am allergic to some fish. I am not sure I will ever go back! I hate bashing a restaurant but it's only way I know to possibly let owner know what is going on. read more

We went for a brunch Sunday morning, and I ordered a "Cajun Sausage Egg Skillet," with gouda grits. Let me just say that the team here really knows how to use seasonings. There wasn't a bland flavor in the whole mix! "Grand Ma's Chicken Biscuit," consisted of two delightful buttermilk fried chicken biscuits. Yes, you read that right. The fried chicken wasn't an aggressive crunch, but rather a light crispy consistency. This meal, accompanied with the breakfast potatoes, really tied everything together. Paula took really good care of us and honesty her recommendations guided us since it was my first time here. My wife and I had an early dinner on a Thursday. Not very busy being a little after 5:00. We were greeted immediately upon entering. As mentioned in other reviews, the ambiance is beach bar and tastefully done. The dining room appears very clean. Our server was a machine. No name tag but she was awesome. Had complete knowledge of the menu and today's specials. Didn't write our order down, which always scares me.. but she didn't need to. Very efficient she was... despite at least 4 other tables filling up. Had time to smile and humerus. She ran the floor by herself. Good job! The food. Similar to other restaurants of same type. They do seem to add their own creative spin. We had fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. For our entree's my wife had the shrimp special and I have Fish and chips. Got a lot of buildup for this place. Unfortunately it let me down. Had shrimp and grits, I'm a native southerner with a wide travel experience, so while not an expert on the dish, I've had some excellent curd and hominy soup. This was not it. Glad we took a 'dive' over to Canton for lunch! Pardon my cheesiness but I couldn't resist! My husband and I decided to head out for lunch while in Canton and decided on Dive. We were greeted immediately and our server took great care of us the entire time we were there! We both had the blackened grouper sandwiches and they were delicious!! C L E A N L I N E S S not at all. tables are sticky. cups are dirty a lot so make sure to double check. weve come three times now and every time they always forget the little mini fork to help grab the crab meat. B A T H R O O M S available for you to wash your hands after chowing down on those crab legs. bathrooms are decently clean. if its not, just ask the employees and theyll take care of it. In the past, Dive has always been a pretty solid option for seafood in Canton. We made reservations for a large party, and while everyone was able to be seated, the architecture of the table used for 7 people made it very difficult for the older members of our group to situate and then get out (heaven forbid anyone need to use the restroom.) Our server was quite nice, but not trained properly in the drink selections or the menu items. They were out of stock with grouper, which is a major component to their menu. They were out of stock in many of the wine selections. The She Crab Soup relies heavily on cream for its flavor, but it lacks dimension, though it does have a reasonable amount of crab meat. Other seafood options tasted like they were approaching the end of their shelf/shell life. I wouldn't recommend the boiled peanuts; they're soggy & overly spicy. My Cliff's sandwich catfish had no indication that it was pecan encrusted, yet there was plenty of cornmeal. I will say, they have good hushpuppies. We bragged about Dive to the family, and that's why we selected them for our celebration, but it was disappointing. When you're dining with family, nobody in the group wants to hear constructive criticism, so this is my way of letting the restaurant know that they weren't on their game. I hope they improve, because I've had some great food experiences here. read more

For our first visit to the Dive it was OK-I like the decor of the restaurant, beach themed. The cocktails are exceptional and very strong. Service was a little slow but they were also slammed with lots of customers. I love seafood, but opted to try a non seafood dish. Their chicken and waffle sandwich. It sounded way nicer in print, the meal itself was a so so dish. The waffle was way bigger than the piece of chicken. The maple butter that I was given only covered one waffle. We were not charged for that meal. (Atomic Biscuit version is still my favorite ). I know this isn't your normal standard it still left me sad that it happened. read more

05/31/22. Grand Opening. Just love this new Seafood place. The servers are already well trained and menu knowledgeable. Smiling and engaging as you want them to be. And they are happy to make recommendations if you ask them. The decor fits right in. The different blue shades on the wall, seats and tables makes it seem like you are actually diving with the mermaids. Lol The grilled chicken tacos were delicious sprinkled with just the right flavors. The home made salsa was perfect for me. A little spice but not to much. And the thickness was just right. Not to thick and not to thin. The Shareable blackened Shrimp Po Boys were very tasty. 3 small Po Boys was just the right amount. And the 3 mini key lime pies were heavenly. One with Raspberry sauce, one with kiwi and one plain. They come in little plastic bowls so they're easily bagged for take home. I think North Canton GA has another winner here. We had a gift certificate and wanted to try this place again. Our first experience was a little bumpy the first month they opened (to be expected). The second time we thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. We sat at the bar and had a nice conversation with the server Paula. She made some great food recommendations- I opted for the Fried Pork chop and Fried Chicken with an awesome gravy over southern mashed potatoes. Simply outstanding. I ate half which was more than enough and have leftovers. My wife who is gluten free had the salmon and same mashed potatoes. She was very pleased with the preparation. We also had the Brussels sprouts appetizer which were excellent. Paula recommended Apple cake for dessert which was an excellent top off for the night. The ambiance is country coastal and they has additional tables set up for Valentine's Day. My husband and I had the She Crab soup which was cheesy with bits of crab and shell interspersed. My man ordered the blackened shrimp po boy which came with delicious fries. They had run out of the regular bun and subbed out a brioche bun that made the sandwich look underfilled. It contained 6 UNblackened jumbo 16/20 shrimp. The fries were tasty and delicious. I had high hopes for the shrimp and grits. I expected a rich smoky Gouda flavor but was disappointed with a tomato-based, soupy version that relied too heavy on spice. It had plenty of jumbo shrimp and andouille sausage but it had so. Much. Sauce. 25% of the dish, as seen in the photo, was cheesy not-soupy grits. The portion sizes were generous and we may come back. I'll just try something different. A newly opened restaurant famous for sea food. We ordered the special of the day (unlimited shrimp - boiled or fried) and it comes with a salad and a side. We tried both shrimps and it was okay.. nothing special from other seafood restaurants. It cost us $30. We also ordered blackened Salmon.. it was also average in taste. The side we ordered was mashed potato, it was really good. The service was great especially Debra. I was surprised at the lack of a fried shrimp offering at a seafood restaurant, so I got the fish and chips instead. They were quite good and adequate in portion. We also had the fried green tomato appetizer which were tasty and quality ingredients. My wife had the cedar plank salmon and found it decent. Overall the food flavors and portions are adequate, if unexceptional, and don't live up to the prices. We've actually had better for less at competitors, so this won't be a regular option for our seafood cravings. read more

Dive is a great restaurant having one of the coolest bars in Canton, serving unique drinks and a menu constantly changing to meet the needs of their clientele. We visited Dive on St. Patrick's Day, particularly just for their spin on Irish cuisine. They did not disappoint! The Guinness Fish and Chips were full of flavor with a crispy batter on the outside and perfectly cooked fish inside. I loved the shoestring fries and had to ask for seconds on the homemade tarter sauce. The Sheppard's Pie celebrated the traditional Irish dish that tasted deliciously comforting. The Green Velvet Cake was the perfect finish, bursting with chocolate flavor notes and topped with an incredibly "melt in your mouth" icing. We were very happy to see that Dive had our favorite beer in the cans- Shirtless IPA. The staff was very friendly and confident when explaining the specials. The atmosphere is so fun, the energy is high and really family friendly. Most booths have a ring toss game in the booth. My husband and I really enjoyed playing the ring toss game while we awaited our meal. After we had enjoyed our meal, one of the owners, Kip, came to our booth and sincerely asked how our meal was, what dish was our favorite, inquired how we had found Dive, thanked us for dining with the restaurant, shared some of the upcoming specials and events and ended by inviting us back. The food, staff and owners make us feel so comfortable, as if we are part of the family and the food really expresses their love for our community. We are so happy to have Dive in Canton. read more

Food quality is overall good, however service takes away from that. Went for their ayce crabs and struggled to get refills. They have a policy of only one additional leg per reorder. So you sit there and wait forever to get the next reorder it only takes minutes to eat one crab leg. In addition they struggle with juggling all of the service and create a ton of extra dishware. Bar really seems to struggle not being able to get out drinks or beverages. Bartender is assigned to outside tables, which makes absolutely no sense. In addition when you get the all you can eat, the refills are only on the protein. It would be nice if they did it on the sides. And cost them a lot less for a guest to fill up on sides versus crabs. Either way it might be worth going on a non all you can eat night. read more
