I love when I give a place another chance and it completely changes my mind!! I returned to B&B tonight in hopes that the service is better and the food was just as good if not better, and I was blown away. We had the best waiter, Aidan (Aiden?), that was very attentive and polite. We tried a few new dishes for us. We started with the fried Brussel sprouts. YUM! We devoured this. I ordered the meatloaf patty melt sandwich and the pimento bacon Mac n cheese. That sandwich. WAY surpassed my expectations and even though I live about 30 minutes away, I will be returning just for that. As a Mac n cheese connoisseur I also really enjoyed that dish. I love a creamy Mac and it was exactly that! We also got the key lime pie bars and we loved those too. Overall, GREAT second experience at B&B. Can't wait to come back and try some other things on the menu!

THIS WAS A TAKEOUT EXPERIENCE We have eaten here through the years from original owners to now. We have had ok experiences in the past but never been wowed except by the originals. This meal was disappointing and not just bc it was takeout. chicken tenders and fries: the chicken was shriveled and black. Really really gross and tasted horrible Jumbo pretzel: never bad. Always worth it Fried Brussels: new recipe as of this week. It's a very sharp, vinegar flavor now. I am not a fan of this new recipe. They need less vinegar and maybe some honey and some heat. The cook on the Brussels was very good, just the seasoning was off carne salad: salad was much smaller than a $19 salad should be. I honestly thought we were given a side salad We keep giving just one more chance and walking away disappointed. If there was any way the original owners could take back over the place would crush everything around

This place is truly amazing and has that trendy, big city sort of set up, yet approachable. So great to have access to such a great place without having to be downtown. High quality food and craft drinks all around. Our server Chloe was on point too with friendly and well timed service. Live music on the patio, which had a really great set up. This place seems to have a lot of flexibility with having a nicer dining set up than just a neighborhood bar, as well as a more sport bar and patio area, but it all fits together nicely. Top to bottom perfect place! Will be a go-to whenever I'm back in this area for sure!

Update - 03/26/22. It's been about a year since I've been here so I thought a quick update was in order. Another 5 Star experience from the servers to the food and cocktails. Everything was amazing. The appetizers, Diablo Shrimp was delicious and disappeared in minutes! And the bacon onion dip on the soft crunchy bread melted in you mouth. I tried the new menu item called the Cali wrap and it was fabulous. The Ruben and big chef salad were top notch. And the Grouper Tacos were the best anywhere. Oh and the cocktails were like,, oh try mine it's delicious, no try mine it's so good, wait you have try this one too!! Lol A well managed establishment from top to bottom.

I love this place! You can sit in a cute restaurant area or in a live-music, hopping bar area. Or, you can sit in the large patio area with strung lights and lawn games. I kinda want the hat too - for sale front of house. The place has a sort of warm, industrial-farmhouse feel. I want to try everything but, so far, can tell you the goat cheese flatbread is tasty - crunchy and sweet. The house-made meatloaf patty melt is insanely good and truly unique. I had a nice cider too. The service was attentive without being obnoxious. We'll definitely be back, especially when the warmer temps allow a fun outdoor experience with some other couples.

Excellent service and great food. Meatloaf with mushroom gravy is awesome. Emily (bartender) made an incredible Espresso martini and the cup o chili is huge.

No one in town charges more for a beer than this place. For example, I enjoy local IPAs and Creature Comforts (Athens) is everywhere. I can go to several other stops in town and pay less for a 16 oz can or pour of this beer. Compared to another decent stop down the street, three roses is almost 30% more. My wife says one of the wines she likes is a little less than other stops, so that's good. But other drink prices tend to be on the high side as well, but most in town have higher liquor prices. That adds up if you like to frequent a place. Hence, we stopped frequenting. Overall, I like the decor and as noted, the food is decent. The upstairs is better than the downstairs but I'm glad they have the downstairs for some occasion when they could get busy. As for the Tavern / entertainment element, I've never seen any live music but they have several TVs. Not sure this would be my top choice to watch a game but it would work in a pinch if the other places were too busy or noisy.

I sat on the main level which had mostly booths (for 4 & 2 persons), half booths, bar seats, and a few tables. The interior was classy, but the ambiance was not. The mood was ruined by whiny acoustic music, probably picked by the staff and not for the customers. I can normally tune it out, but the uncharacteristic F*bombs coming from the speakers were a mood killer. And while waiting for my meal I heard the following exchange from the kitchen: "Your late!" "Are you going to fire me? Please send me home!" The hostile attitudes in the kitchen was unfortunately reflected in the meal. I ordered the fish and chips, and the fries were nicely cooked. The crust on the fish also looked good. But the fish inside was watery and unpleasant. It was also topped with a mass of cilantro sprigs, which did not pair with the flavors. I managed to scrape them all off. The fish was served with vinegar, ketchup, and (missing) tartar sauce. The friendly and attentive waitress was quick to correct the missing sauce, although it did take awhile. My meal also came with a side of slaw that would have been outstanding if the kitchen hadn't made a misstep of loading it with too much salt. The other seasonings in the slaw were excellent and unique and the addition of red onions was great, but sadly ruined by the saltiness. At the end of my meal I visited their modern and stylish restrooms. I'd arrived just after 5PM and on this weekday there were only a few patrons. So the stylish furnishing of the restroom were marred by the mess I encountered in there. Based on the number of employees compared to patrons, there wasn't an excuse for not cleaning that bathroom. I've seen truckstop restrooms that weren't that nasty.

I reserved a table for five here for Mother's Day because we've had mostly good experiences here,…read morehaven't been in a little while, and they had both crab cake Benedict and bottomless mimosas on the prix fixe menu, two of my wife's favorite things. They were clearly understaffed, which was apparent from checking in with the hostess. The line of people waiting to check in with her caused the waiter taking desserts downstairs to have to wait up to five minutes with that tray. Once we were seated, we thought things might go better. Crab cake Benedict was the #1 choice for my wife and BIL, but the kids' menu didn't have the chicken and waffles the guy who called to confirm my reservation had mentioned. That was no problem because my kids have learned to find something to eat wherever we take them, and I ordered chicken and waffles to share with them because I love my kids and knew I would get enough food one way or another. The mimosa came in a wine glass because they had run out of flutes, which was fine by my wife, but she said they tasted heavier on the juice than on the prosecco. My waffles came out a bit burnt, but they replaced them with no problem when we pointed it out. My kids got fresh waffles, and I enjoyed the burnt ones. The chicken was one decent piece for a person, but split between my daughter and me was less than I had hoped for. Thankfully, the salad was a decent appetizer. When the crab cakes Benedict came, we were shocked to see a mess of scrambled eggs on a thin crab cake with an English muffin under. We always ask for hollandaise on the side because that sauce can go several different ways of bad, but in this instance we were genuinely confused how a benedict could come with anything other than poached eggs! The flavor was okay, but the texture and presentation left a lot to be desired. My wife only finished half of hers and didn't touch the limp fries. You can probably figure out how I made do with food in this instance. Our kids, meanwhile, devoured their food like we had starved them their whole lives, so on the plus side we didn't have to hear kids whining about food! Service was polite but very slow. I don't know that we'll be back. With the abundance of good restaurants in our area, it's going to be hard to justify returning here.

The cauliflower was phenomenal- slightly sweet, the perfect balance of acid, delicious. Collard greens were fine and so were the mushrooms. I also tried the cabbage, sweet potato, coleslaw, and Brussels. I love the caramelized skins of the sweet potato. I liked that the coleslaw was light on the mayo. We ended our meal with the Coca Cola cake. The Coke flavor is very subtle aftertaste which is probably for the best. I feel like the frosting was too thick, but really enjoyed the cake. It has a denser fudgier texture (almost brownie like) and is very moist. Overall, I would return. You must try the cauliflower, biscuits, and Coca Cola cake!!

We had reservations for 5:30 and they quickly seated us. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and attentive and we never lacked for drink refills. The seating is comfortable and there is upstairs dining accessible by elevator. I ordered the special, a thick cut pork chop. While my wife had the Trout Almondine. For side we chose the creamed kale and risotto. Before our dishes came out I had the kitchen salad with bleu cheese dressing and their complimentary bread. The dipping sauce was nice and a real twang. It was nice and unique for a few bites, but the vinegar was too strong to enjoy it past a few tastings. The salads were nice but nothing terribly exciting and with big leafs of greenery on a flat plate to challenge your dexterity. My pork chop was perfectly cooked and the flavors were fantastic. I'm not a kale fan, but there take was very good. Although the amount of lemon used in the flavoring was a bit too strong for more than a few bites. My risotto also had a sour note, but not as strong, and they were wonderfully creamy. We sampled each other's entrees and I'm not a fish person, but I almost (but not quite) almost regretted not getting the trout. It was absolutely delicious. And the sauce on my pork chop was fantastic. At the end of our meal I visited the restroom, which was where things turned downhill. I know older buildings can be a challenge to keep nice, and there's no predicting when a previous patron can leave a mess. But when I saw the revolting detritus piled in the corner, it was obvious the dirtiness of the bathroom was due to staff neglect over an extended period.
