I've yet to have a bad experience at Bad Daddy's -- it's quickly becoming one of my go-to spots. This location had a very friendly staff who were attentive and on top of everything, and the lunch was excellent. I'm not completely sure, but it seems like they patty their burgers in-house with fresh, quality meat and hand-cut the fries. If not, they're still using some of the best ingredients around -- and it shows. Everything tastes fresh and well-prepared. The portions are generous too, so even big eaters will leave satisfied, and it all comes in under $20, which makes it a solid value in my book. I love the flexibility to build your own burger, but today I went with the Smokehouse -- topped with pulled pork, pepper jack, onion straws, lettuce, tomato, and BBQ sauce. As always, it was fantastic. They were generous with the toppings, including the pulled pork, which really made it stand out. Ok, so we had a couple coupons from last school year; so I recommended this spot for lunch. I'm used to going to the Smyrna location & they're always on point! Service was a bit slow, but they were short staffed. Server was still sweet & accommodating though. I ordered the Coastal Blackened Salmon & Trufe Parmesan Fries. My gf who's expecting ordered an array of things: buffalo wings, a side of salmon, tater tots, bbq wings, & one of their new burgers that came with apple slices on top. We waited a while, because they were trying to bring everything out at the same time. By the time everything came out, it was lukewarm/cold. Cold fries are never fun, but I didn't feel like sending them back & waiting some more. My gf liked her tater totes, but said everything else was just ok. I went to Bad Daddy's today and the experience was overall great except for two small issues. The burger I ordered was not good at all. The meat tasted slightly weird and I cannot get myself to eat it, not a big deal though. The bigger problem I faced was that the broccoli I ordered was rotten! Not all of it obviously but a majority of it either had little black spots or brown spots on the main part. Our server was luckily very kind about it and took 3 dollars off the broccoli. Service was excellent as I said before, our server was super kind. The shakes we ordered were phenomenal and I would definitely get one again. The overall feel of the restaurant was also nice aswell. I don't know why we keep giving this location a chance. It is always cold/freezing inside (summer and winter) and the service is slow. Wait staff is fine, it's the kitchen. We ordered some CYO salads (with chicken fingers) and they were really well done. The packaging was professional, and the warm protein was in a separate container to keep the salad in good condition for transport. The buttermilk ranch dressing was light and refreshing. The toppings on both salads were super fresh and colorful. Excellent chickpeas, avocado, gouda, mozzarella, hard boiled eggs, bacon, and greens. Plus, the service in the pickup area has changed to improve the experience, and the staff was friendly and dressed professionally. All in all, a total turnaround and success story. I am not sure why Bad Daddy's has such a low three star rating right now, because we had a very good experience. They were packed when we arrived on a Friday night, and they warned us that they were short staffed and that service would be slower than normal. We were able to be seated right away, plus the server was attentive. The food even arrived in a timely manner. The mixed berry sangria was refreshing and tasty, as was the strawberry lemonade. They have a gluten-friendly menu and I was able to build my own salmon burger in a lettuce wrap with avocado. My hubby enjoyed the Philly cheese steak and fries. I'm so glad that we now have a Bad Daddy's so close to home. We first went on a Friday afternoon intending to get a drink while our son finished an activity nearby. They had only been open a few days, but you couldn't tell. They operated like a well-oiled machine. Rachel served us at the bar and recommended drinks for us. I had the pineapple jalapeño margarita and was told that there's a limit of 2. I balked and started sipping. I whispered to my husband WHERE'S THE LIQUOR?!! I was halfway finished when I immediately answered my own question. It's definitely in that drink. It was boozy without being overpowering - and I'm no lightweight. I decided that I should probably have a light snack before attempting to pick my son up. Yes, the liquor hit me. She recommended the Parmesan truffle tater tots. They came out hot and tasty. It helped tremendously. Fast forward to a few days later. Hubs and I decided to come back and try a burger. Great decision! Hubs and I decided to share a burger and it was the genius idea of the day. We ordered the bacon burger on steroids. It had spicy jalapeño and regular bacon. The spicy bacon was noteworthy. Soooo good!!! We split it and it was the perfect portion. Their burgers are very shareable, although we were the only ones doing it. We decided to go with what works for our side - the truffle tater tots. Our son ordered the chicken fingers and fries from the kids menu and ate it all. This is high praise y'all! He's a baby Gordon R. and is super picky. I was so glad to see that he cleaned his plate. Birthday Edition #4 Driving past Bad Daddy's Burger a few times, I said we should try it. I always saw the one in Smyrna and then found one opened in East Cobb off Sandy Plains rd. The location sits in a shopping center with a few other dining options. Parking is free of course. You can dine inside or outside. Masks not required. As we walked in, we were added to wait list. We were told large party just left and be few minutes. They moved tables back, cleaned up, and we were seated within 5 minutes. The hostess was friendly and nice. She told us to scan the QR codes on the table to begin reviewing the menu. Upon seating, it took maybe another 5 minutes for Joely to introduce herself as our waitress. She welcomed us and covered menu as we said 1st visit. She took our drink order, water and lemonade. She came back a few minutes later with our drinks and took our food order. The lemonade was a bit on the tart side. It didn't quite taste freshly squeezed as stated on menu more like Minute Maid lemonade to me. Not bad but not what I expected for price or description. My son ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger on Steriods minus mayo and pickles. It comes with a patty, Applewood smoke , jalapeño , lettuce, onion, tomato, and housemade bacon mayo. Alot of !! Lol! I wanted a salad but..when in Rome. I ordered the Bad Ass Burger. I substituted the horseradish mayo for regular mayo and buttermilk bacon for regular . It comes with two 5noz. Patties. Both burgers cooked well. Burgers come with 1 side and we both got fries. For your birthday you get any burger, salad, or sandwich for free up to $15.99 for joining their email club. Thus, I thought the perfect opportunity to give this restaurant a try. Especially since only a short drive from home. It has to be used for dine in. As we wait, my son notices a family with a dog under the table and chair. The dog was completely unnoticeable. Quiet and extremely well behaved. Clearly, pets are okay here. Again, very well behaved pet. I make small talk with the lady and daughter next to us about the dog. I learn they have been waiting a while. The waitress tells her another 15 minutes. I think okay they are behind. I look around and see servers in the kitchen. I started clocking the time to get food. At about 32 minutes, the waitress says another 10. The man and his family to my right say they waited 45 minutes. I think okay so they are definitely behind. The waitress overhears and says sorry yes we are behind. I'll go check. Food order comes out. It did take 45 minutes from time we placed the order. I have to admit service counts. The most importantly thing was the order was correct. All our changes were made. Burgers cooked to satisfaction. Burgers were hot. The fries were overcooked, little dark, and room temp. I expected that after overhearing another waiter tell his table the sides were cooked ahead in batches to keep up. Burgers were jucy and cooked to order. Need a little seasoning to me but not bad. There was a paper container on my plate with sauce. The waitress told me it was a BBQ sauce. I think it was for my fries but it tasted better on my burger. It gave my burger the flavor boost I was looking for. My son said the jalapeño bacon made his burger. A few pieces little overcooked but good. Alot of on that burger. Your thinking wow and she still gave them a 4. The manager walked around speaking to every patron in the restaurant. He explained reason for delay, which I understood. I advised the waitress let people know up front to set their expectations. It helps to keep customers calm and allows them to decide if they want to wait. He was very polite and friendly. The waitress adjusted bill for birthday entree. The manager gave us some cards to come back on another day. I would give them another try since they just opened within last few months and working the kinks out. Customer service is important in any business. The manager was in the kitchen helping get orders on track. He then came out to check on everyone and explain. I greatly appreciate that. Most people were understanding. We ate pretty much all our food. I ate half my burger and brought my BBQ sauce home. Yep, that sauce is pretty tasty a nice tang to it. read more

We visited this restaurant midday prior to the holiday. It was not busy as most of the staff was walking around enjoying each other. We ordered three burgers. Two were supposed to be "well done" and one "medium". Ironically, the well done burgers were medium rare temperature and the requested medium temperature burger was damn near well done. Of course, the two "well done" burgers were sent back. They were remade however, we were then waiting another 10ish minutes for the new food to come out. Not a great experience for the first visit! The strawberry lemonade was SWEEEEETTT! None of us could finish one glass. After finally getting edible burgers, the taste was decent. Management should take note - the service here is indeed quite slow, as many others have indicated. I can't tell if it's front-of-the house or back-of-the-house, but it needs major improvement. This was our first time here. Observations: Saturday lunch around 2:00 p.m. Party of 4. Place was near empty. The greeter asked to sit us at a high top. I declined, as those are quite uncomfortable for a relaxing meal (compared to a booth) and are only a last resort IMO if no other seating is available. Our server, "Haven" was nice, seemed kind of timid at first. She was not familiar with/ somewhat confused by my husband's bourbon request (Knob Creek). I think she stated that she doesn't know much about alcohol, but IMO, that should not be an excuse when you serve alcohol as part of your job. If a guest orders something you've never heard of, jot it down, and go ask the bartender. At any rate, she took our drink orders and came back with the non-alcoholic bevs and said our bar drinks were coming. (We ordered two.) She returned shortly and took our appetizer orders. We got the bacon queso and potato chips/dip. The queso was tasty, but too thin to stick to the thick tortilla chips and was barely warm. The housemade potato chips were good and crisp, but the french onion dip tasted nothing like I expected. Couldn't really taste any onion at all, but rather some kind of spice. ??? But the ranch was good. Our server once again said she'd go check on our bar drinks. After a bit of a wait, the apps arrived. Still no bar drinks. Server said "she is making them." Again, we were confused as the place was quite empty. Was told a third time..."she's making them right now." Long story short, we were nearly finished eating our apps before we even received our bar drinks. No fun washing down bar food with plain water. During this long wait, I noticed waitstaff just kind of standing, looking around, chit chatting with kitchen staff. Maybe therein lies the problem...who knows. Food took a long while to come out, even though once again, they weren't busy. It would've felt even longer if we hadn't gotten apps to munch on. The food was pretty good. Side salad was fresh, good dressings, honey chicken sandwich was delish on the outside, but chicken breast meat was somewhat tough and chewy. (Maybe slightly overcooked?) Mac and cheese side was VERY dry. Everyone who got burgers seemed to enjoy them. Peach mojito and milkshakes - DELISH. The BD Snickers shake is to die for. Oh, and my husband's Knob Creek bourbon was actually rye. He can tell the difference instantly. If only the server would've written it down and asked the bartender. But I digress. We waited 30 minutes for a table, and our waitress was pleasant: ordered drinks and fried pickles as an app. Shortly after we ordered our meals. My wife ordered sliders (an appetizer) and I ordered a build your own salad. 90 minutes later we still hadn't gotten our entrees. The fried pickles were ok. They were extremely heavy handed with the salt. The drinks wine and an IPA were fine. Service was as good as it could be with virtually no kitchen staff. The manager comped our meals, but we still went home hungry. It's a shame; the place has potential but staffing issues have plagued it during its first weeks.
