A solid experience for our group... we had a very new server assigned to us and she was trying very hard at her job. We waited a long time for our food to come out to the table. Our original thought on the wait was the fact that the place was swamped. It was, as she shared with us, due to her not turning in the order. We applauded her for owning up to her mistake. The truth was appreciated. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas- which was sadly from a mix- and so so. The cheese dip was fabulous and our entrees were above average. When we did get our meal, they were hot and as ordered. This was our first time in- it was a Thursday night- and it was busy. The noise level was very very loud. Eh. So if it's 'eh," why do I meet my friend Kris there every few months? I'll tell ya: it's convenient to both our homes, you could sit there as long as you want and chat over wine -- we both enjoy a good, even not-so-good, Cab -- when it's warm, the patio is ever so pleasant, AND the restaurant is steps away from Publix. (I'm big on killing two birds with one stone.) They used to have a lunch menu. Apparently, no longer. I usually go for a chef salad, which is actually pretty good. (They'll charge you if you want more than their allotted dollop of dressing.) Today I had fish. Not great, not bad. They might want to get better rolls. Kris said the same about her sandwich. The side of coleslaw which we both chose is finely chopped, like that which comes from a big tub. Paradise Grille does a brisk business. We had a very disappointing experience here. A friend of mine did a kind gesture and asked the waiter to bring him the bill for 3 police officers so he could cover their lunch. When the bill came, it showed a 50% discount, so he handed over his card. But when the receipt came back, the charge was double. When we asked, the waiter said the discount only applies if the officers pay for themselves, not if someone else pays. That may be the owner's rule, but the way it was handled felt dishonest. Why bring a discounted bill, let us pay, and only afterward change the price--without clearly explaining beforehand? We even spoke with the manager, who just said "it's the owner's policy." Regardless of the rule, this felt like taking advantage of someone's kindness instead of honoring it. It left a terrible impression, and they've lost our business. Kindness should never be penalized, and unfortunately, that's exactly how this came across. read more

First time, last time. Service and food were both terrible. Went at a weird hour of the day around 3pm on a Saturday, so there were maybe only 3 other tables with customers. Ordered our appetizer and the server took his time bringing it to us while it was dying in the window in the kitchen. Meanwhile we were left twiddling our thumbs for a good 15 minutes while waiting on our app and for the server took come back and take our order. The side salad was extremely watery - yuck. This was a great experience for us! We were in the area painting pottery, and we came in a little after 10pm on a Saturday night. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant and a few people on the patio. You can order food from the Mexican menu or the Grille menu. (They had a sister Mexican restaurant attached in the other side!) there's also a designated bar area. We started with the guacamole, which I loved. Nice and chunky. I got the Bermuda baby burgers. Basically sliders with onions and this AWESOME paradise sauce. I added cheese and it was EVERYTHING! The house fries are also the bomb. Thick cut, crunchy, and seasoned so well. I may be wrong, but have been ordering the shrimp and grits for a while now, and yesterday the amount I received didn't even cover the bottom of the bowl. I was able to eat all of it, but before I always had some to take home. Please keep the same portion size and just charge more if the cost is increasing. It was still delicious! read more

Updated Review!!! Saturday 1/15/2022 2:00pm Mexican side (Paradise South). This review is for three meals all ordered off of the Mexican side menu. Three of us went to a late lunch today, and had a delicious meal. Our server, Matt B. was very attentive. The food was hot, and came out as described. They have complimentary hot chips and salsa, and they do not hesitate to refill them. It can be dangerous, as they are delicious. I always order chicken options here because I think their pulled chicken is delicious. Another go-to is their veggie quesadilla, if you are eating meatless. My son ordered that. The husband did a loaded burrito w/ steak ($2.50 up-charge was worth it). Whatever you order, make sure you have their pico de gallo, it's so fresh. It came with each of our meals. Menu- it's a little limited with Covid, but all the traditional items are there, and the selection is ample. Note - you can always order off of the American side menu too, just ask for that menu. My only gripe - it was SO LOUD because there was a sports party or something. I have been here many times and never experienced that, so I'm chalking it up to a rarity. Also - we could have moved, we just chose to talk above the party volume. Give this place a try (or another try) and be grateful that it isn't a chain! read more

Paradise grille is our go to place for friends and family coming into town or just to meet up there. With 2 different menus it's easy for anyone to find something they can enjoy. Every time we go all the staff are very friendly and always accommodating. We enjoy the choice of which restaurant side to go to as well depending on our preference at the time. read more

Tl;dr - depressing patio, slow service, false advertising of live music, terrible chips/salsa, sub par food. I tried this place because someone in a FB group said it had a a good patio and their FB page advertised live music. I should have read yelp reviews first. We mistakenly came in the Grille side and were seated on the patio. It was utterly depressing - faces a busy parking lot, has no plants to make it nicer, no music, only the sound of a ball game that is not being shown on any tv out there. After 10 min of not being approached by anyone, we got up and asked where the live music was. We were directed to the South side of the restaurant. The music was supposedly inside, in what was more of a bar area. That had marginally better atmosphere but was seat yourself and more bar than restaurant, complete with patrons cursing loudly at sports. Speaking of sports, we later learned the live music had been canceled because "nobody wants to listen to music when sports are on". So much for that. By this point we'd already ordered beers and they'd brought chips and salsa so I felt bad about leaving. So let's talk about food. Chips and salsa should be easy. Apparently not, the chips were greasy and weird tasting and the salsa was disgusting. At least 75% of store bought salsas would have been superior. I ordered white chicken chili, husband ordered Cuban quesadillas, kid ordered Cuban sandwich. The chili was below average - they leaned very heavily on cheese, which made for a very basic chili. The quesadillas were bland but edible. My kids Cuban was nowhere near authentic but was tasty nonetheless. It gets a second star for that sandwich and for us not getting food poisoning as I feared might happen. read more

Sometimes you find great things in unexpected places. I visited on a Friday evening. Needless to say, the place was packed and loud. I had the BBQ ribs with sweet potato fries and coleslaw. It was amazing- soft falling off the bone, lick your fingers good. Mind you I've had BBQ ribs from local restaurants that specialize in this and they are nowhere near to this. Wow. Our server was a supervised trainee who did a fairly good job. The 10 wings we had as an appetizer was steaming hot but we ordered 2 flavors. I could not tell much difference between them. We took our time ordering and the food took forever to arrive. My chicken was warm, not hot. The peas were about the same. They forgot to put the Paradise sauce on my Bride's chicken so they had to take it back to fix it. We are big fans of Paradise and Paradise South of the Border. Okay, so never again. I don't if this was a high school hang out spot, but get to work. Currently watching my sever (whom name I don't know) gave a pitcher of water to a guest. I am watching how every sever and the manager has made this table the hangout spot. I ordered sweet tea and got water with food coloring in it. Hint, when making tea it needs to be brown liquid. I ordered the BIG DADDY NACHOS, not bad but didn't ask for the broccoli crows. So I then switched to coke...NEVER GOT A REFILL. So I order the jambalaya, and got soup swap water with a few shrimp and some sausage on some over some white rice ..(sent that back....trash) I mean just overall, trash trash trash. The stars was for the selection of food considering everyone in my family loves Mexican and I don't so I thought this was a great spot with 2 menus. Wrong! Food took forever. The Mexican side came out 15 min before the Paradise Grille side. And the only person who ate was the kid. My chicken Philly was terrible. Bread wasn't heated or toasted, cheese looked like plastic and came off as such, even had an odd smell. My sister has some sandwich she said didn't taste right. Like the ingredients had been stored in containers together overnight or something and just heated up. Maybe even been frozen in a preservative at one point. Idk it wasn't edible. The service was horrible. Me and my girlfriend waited for a hostess for 5 minutes. When we sat down we were given 2 different menus each. Then after looking for not over 2 minutes we were asked if we where ready to order. We said no (on the account of having 2 giant menus to look over) then another 2 minutes passes and we were asked again. After that we waited 30 minutes for the server to comeback, no water refills, no chip refills, nothing. We placed our order. We got queso with no chips so we just sat there as it got cold. Then the food was horrible. The salsa was watery. My food was half oil and other half was taco bell beef with more watery tomato sauce. My girlfriend got a shrimp basket with a basket that's smaller than the chip basket. The shrimp is comparable to captain D's. The ambiance was the most white washed mexican restaurant ive ever seen. I don't know why country music was playing non stop. This restaurant has a horrible personality disorder. Either drop the Mexican food and become a bad American restaurant, or drop the American food and become a crappier Mexican restaurant. read more

Order fajita nachos chicken 5/25/24 and by the time I got home I puking my guts out and had diarrhea. Clearly I got food poisoning called the restaurant asked for the manager. At least wanted to make them aware .They told me the manager was too busy couldn't take my call. Called back in an hour later and I was told the manager still busy and unavailable but you can hold? I guess they thought I would hang up, but after an hour, they finally came back on the phone and told me still unavailable .Called this morning to speak to a manager they tell me they were unavailable again. There are two restaurants that are connected, the Mexican side and the grill. They share a nice patio out front where the tables all have umbrellas. There were lots of TVs inside of the grill section. The service was good and we enjoyed our meals but the grilled seafood platter did leave a little to be desired. The crab cake and hush puppies were really good but the scallops were very sub-par. The fish needed sauce but there was sauce on the side that made it good. Green beans were just ok but the grilled veggies were good. We enjoyed the experience but I would order something different next time. read more

First off - in the past 2 months, we have eaten at this location 4 times and this by far was the worse experience. George our waiter, was awful. Period. We asked for chips, salsa and Queso. It took him 10 minutes to bring the chips.... and that's all he brought. He walked away and I thought he went to the rest. I had to ask him again. He went back and you guessed it - he brought the salsa... I asked for the queso... that took another five minutes. Finally the food came. $13.00 for 6 shrimp. Yeah no - that's not worth it. I asked George for another coke, sprite and ketchup.... I waited another 7 to 10 minutes. My fries got cold and I gave up. So disappointed. read more

At 3 I am being a bit generous. We were seated outside at a rocky table and one rocky chair. Drink order taken and received. People seated to our left and right. they ordered drinks as ours arrived. We ordered.. and then a bit later both other tables did. They both got their food before us! Dtr got fish street tocos NO Tomatoes, with salsa which turned out to be mango salsa and she is allergic to mango and nothing said it was mango salsa. also tacos had tomatoes. I had a salad and in eating it, forked up the top of a mushroom which turned out to be mostly DIRT, a good chunk of DIRT. told the server and he goes - yeah, that's dirt! Service was very good on Easter Sunday, our server was timely with greeting our table, keeping our drinks topped off and taking our orders and answering and questions we had. The food was large servings, I thought it may have had a bit to much salt to my liking, I had the beef burrito and there just appeared to be a bit heavy on the salt They don't bring menus to your table you have to scan the QR code to bring up the menus with could be a issue for sone customers.
