I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while now. I a not in this area often. My son and I came in for lunch. You go to the counter to order. Service was very good here. Everything we got was good. Not the best barbecue ever, but definitely worth coming back for. The turkey was moist and the sausage good. My son liked the brisket that was in his bowl. I did really like the Brunswick stew. Overall, a good barbecue place in Canton, Georgia. I will come back. read more

The family and I ate here for dinner tonight. We got take out. The ribs were absolutely delicious. The chopped beef was dry and the sausage had pimento cheese in it which I didn't expect nor like and if I had know that I would not have ordered it. The collard greens were okay but they could have used a bit more seasoning and the baked beans were very good. The sauce was excellent and complimented the ribs nicely. I would definitely go here again when I'm in town. I would have given a five but for the chopped beef and collard greens. read more

This has been our go to BBQ spot for the past couple years. My default is always anything brisket. Last night I broke my steak and ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs. WOW, have I been missing out. There's no doubt in my mind these are the best ribs in North Georgia. read more

Actually one of the best barbecue places i have ever been to, I was going to take a picture of the food but I legitimately forgot due to how distracted I was to how good it looked. Great BBQ restaurant in Canton, this will be our go to in the area. Ribs had a nice little char on them which I like with great flavor. Sauces were also good themselves. Had the baked beans an Mac & cheese both very tasty. Each had a little spice to them which made you want more. Place was clean with plenty of table and the Owner/mgr checking on you to make sure everything was alright. Service was a definite plus. read more

Smoked turkey was moist and delicious. Did a last minute pick up order and so glad I did - line was slow moving and up to the door! Sweet BBQ sauce is just how I make it at home so immediately a big fan. Brisket is alright. Mac and cheese and collard greens pretty standard and always happy to see a BBQ place with lots of sides options. The Mr.Potatohead is enormous and easily shared between two people. Nice spot in the area! read more

Wow we got lucky finding this place. While traveling I got a hankering for ribs. The first place we went to had a line out the door and around the building. With a baby in tow, that was a no go. My wife was looking along our route for other bbq places and saw this place pop up. I guess it was ment to happen because this place was fantastic. Service was excellent and I believe family owned and operated. The staff refused to let me grab a broom to clean up after my daughter and took care of the small mess. But on to the part yall care about, the food! I had the rib plate I had been craving and my wife got the chopped chicken plate. The ribs were had one of the best smoked crusts I have ever had. The outside was almost crispy and had a great smoke ring, yet the meat was still as juicy as you could ever want. The chicken was also juicy and had a nice smoke flavor. The bbq sauces were a surprise, with an amazing white sauce that amped up the chicken very well and a sweet sauce that added some punch to the ribs. The sides were well prepared and seasoned well. The mac and cheese had a nice added pepper that I really liked. The broccoli salad was cold and refreshing. My wife ate the potato salad so fast I didn't get a chance to taste it so I guess that's a green flag for that. 10/10 great place. I am sad I live almost 2 hours away and can't get back for more food any time soon. read more

Second visit in a month. Food is good but the service remains painfully slow, especially for BBQ and sides. Not like the brisket is cooked to order. Prices are still very fair despite beef prices going up. Just plan to be there for a while. read more

My better half and I were in Ellijay on July 4th to pick up some outdoor furniture we had ordered from a business. We wanted to have BBQ for lunch and decided to try Four 41 South BBQ in Canton. The restaurant is located a few miles off of I575. We found them on the end of a strip shopping center. Their smokers are located on the side of the building along with all their hardwood used for smoking all the delicious meats. Upon entry, we were greeted by several friendly smiling faces. You walk up to a counter and place your order. I told the server that this was our first visit to their BBQ restaurant and he patiently answered all our questions. My better half ordered the chopped pork sandwich special with Brunswick Stew as her side dish. I ordered the "Mr Potato Head" stuffed baked potato with Brisket as my protein. I ordered the brisket with a mixture of lean and fatty meat. This is a great option that it not offered at many BBQ restaurants. Both plates included their house made pickles and pickled onions. Their house made pickles are DELICIOUS and I am not a huge pickle fan. The drink service is self-serve and includes fountain soft drinks and sweet and unsweetened tea. I mixed the fountain lemonade with sweet and unsweetened tea to make an Arnold Palmer. Your plates are delivered table side by a friendly server. I mentioned to the server who took my order that I had read great things about their pimento cheese grits and that I would have to try them on our next visit. He kindly added a complimentary side of their cheese grits to my plate. WOW, what a great gesture. The pimento cheese grits are OFF the CHART good. They are the best pimento cheese grits and are the BEST thing I have ever tasted for grits. My loaded baked potato was so flipping delicious and the brisket was tender and flavorful. The chopped pork sandwich was flavorful and the Brunswick Stew was so delicious. It is chocked full of meat in a thick, richly spiced stew. There dessert offerings looked awesome But we will have to try the dessert on our next trip to Four 41 South BBQ as our meals were so filling. While we were eating our meal, Kevin, the owner of the restaurant came by our table to check on our meal and also went to each other table with diners to greet them. He is super nice and enthusiastic about BBQ. You need to jump in your car as soon as possible and drive to Four 41 South BBQ to enjoy some of the best BBQ in the southeastern US. read more

This little gem is family owned and ran. As soon as you get close, you start to smell the meat cooking. You walk up and place your order and then they bring it to you. We got the sampler platter and it had a little bit of everything on it. We got the cheesy potatoes and macaroni and cheese for our sides. The brisket was by far the best I have had and the ribs were awesome. This is a definitely a place to visit and we will be back! read more

I cannot say enough great things about Four 41 South BBQ! The food is simply delicious! For my birthday, we had them cater with brisket (sooo good!), turkey (this is now our Thanksgiving tradition!), baked beans (amazing!) and pimento cheese grits (to die for!). Everything was tremendous! Nora, the catering manager, was on top of everything, very easy to work with and went above and beyond to get everything squared away. When our pimento cheese grits were accidentally left behind when the order was picked up, they made a point to drive it to our party. We eat in store regularly... be sure to check their socials daily for their epic specials, like the pit burgers on Fridays, a personal favorite of mine! read more

Lunch today! Found this great BBQ spot & have to rave about it! Greeted by the friendly counter person. The menu has something for everyone! Chicken, turkey, veggies, & of course brisket! I forgot the Mr. Potato head loaded baked potato with your choice of meat! Need to try this someday I had the chicken plate with potato salad & collards with chow chow, pickles & onions. Delicious! Hubby had the brisket platter with potato salad & slaw & Texas toast. Sit inside or covered patio! We sat outside & smelled the great smells of the bbq! I've had the brisket, the pulled pork, the ribs, the house made sausage, the turkey, the loaded baked potato, the pork belly, almost every side and the toffee crusted oatmeal cream pies! Everything is so bomb! There is not one thing I've had here that I wasn't happy with. The best spot for BBQ. Every time we have family in town we bring the here and they are always anxious to go back. The owner is a super nice guy and all of the workers are so friendly. Enjoy! read more

This was my first time visiting the restaurant, based upon a friend's recommendation. The restaurant is located at the end of a small shopping center. The interior has the classic look of a local, southern barbecue restaurant. After dining there on a Friday evening, I was left with the impression that it's good, but not quite great. This was based upon a number of things we experienced that evening. First, I had been told that I should definitely try the mac & cheese. While I was waiting in line to order, I heard the cashier tell someone that they were out of mac & cheese. When it was time to order, I double checked and asked the cashier if there was any mac & cheese. She said she would double check. The cashier asked one of the cooks if there was any mac & cheese. He told her it would be another 30 minutes before it would be ready. It's difficult for me to understand how a barbecue restaurant could be completely out of mac & cheese at 6 PM on a Friday night. My second concern is the long wait times. After ordering our food, we waited around 35 minutes for the barbecue to be brought to our table. Looking around the restaurant, it appeared as though everyone was waiting a long time for their food. In terms of the food, it did taste good, but it wasn't good enough for me to consider returning or recommending the restaurant. We ordered the pork steak special with two sides. The pork steak was flavorful but too dry. There were bottles of what appeared to be barbecue sauce on the tables, but we later learned it was actually hot sauce or a very spicy version of barbecue sauce. I tried the potato salad and cheese grits being that there was no mac & cheese available. The sides actually tasted a little better than the barbecue. Your meal comes with either a small piece of cornbread or Texas toast. Similar to the pork steak, the cornbread was too dry. Finally, we were very surprised to learn that the restaurant closes at 8 PM on a Friday night. Maybe this is based upon location, and many restaurants close at 8 PM in and around Canton, but we were not certain. I found it a little disappointing, because I was going to order a beef brisket meal to go before leaving the restaurant, but I then found out they were already closed. At some point in time, I may consider coming back to try their pulled pork, beef brisket, or ribs. I simply would not go out of my way to visit this restaurant. Cheers read more

I love a good bbq spot, Canton has a great one here next to the Goodyear on Reinhardt called Four 41 South. Tucked on the end of the shopping plaza. If the smells of smoking meat doesn't draw you in. your curiosity should. The menu is very easy to select, pick your meat, pick your side, pay your bill. Eat in or carry out this location has the picnic table decor, stools and metal chairs. My go to was the chicken plate with slaw and Mac & cheese with bbq on the side. I love the flavor of the bbq sauce a little sweet with a big zing of spice. . My husband had the sausage, green beans ( smoked like my great grandma use to make) and slaw. you have to get over here and try this spot, the food is delicious . The staff here is very friendly and helpful in case you get stuck I know we will be back! read more

Have been here a few times in the past and it's been ok, good value for bbq. Tonight was first time my mobile order was filled accurately. Got two meat plate - turkey and chicken. Enjoyed the turkey, chicken was dry. Sides - green beans and collard greens were done perfectly. Friendly service. Brisket was dry in the past but hard to get moist bbq it seems. Wish there were smoked wings as an option. Quality v cost, I'd return and go heavy on the side items. read more

An early lunch midweek. I had the chopped pork plate with baked beans and cheesy potatoes. All very tasty and the portions are larger than most. Cheesy potatoes are delicious! I ordered a 2 meat (ribs and brisket) plate. I was given a slice of brisket that was 50% tough bark and 2 ribs with an end piece that had very little meat. When bought the issues to the staff they did nothing to attempt to make it right. The staff needs customer service training. read more

The place is small but it needs to be because it smells so darn good in there any bigger would ruin the experience. Its service is simple, go to counter and order and someone brings it to you. The bbq is amazing, I recommend the potato with the brisket. I usually can't eat a whole one but it was so darn good I devoured it without thinking. Got the pimento cheese grits as a side and kinda wish I got a larger size cause now I want more a day later and they are closed on Sundays. Best sauces they have are for sure the sweet one (tastes like KC style bbq) and the white sauce (the white sauce is not like normal Bama sauce. I wanna buy it cause it could be a sure fire million dollar dipping sauce on its own). If you like ground stone mustard the Carolina gold bbq sauce is your jam for sure. Only one I didn't like a lot was the spicy, it's more vinegar based and heavy on black pepper (maybe just this batch was like that) wish it was a lil more ketchup, lil sugar, honey, or something else sweet in it to give it a lil more depth and a hint of sweet to it. And needs something for a heat other than pepper. Next time I go I wanna try the ribs and sausage but I'm convinced they don't miss on anything. Also knowing they do breakfast imma come for the shrimp and grits for sure. read more

This has become one of my favorite BBQ joints in the area after finally trying it out. Loved the food - the chopped chicken, the sauces, green beans, pimento cheese grits. Love that they offer pickles and pickled onions which pair well with the meat. You get to choose either cornbread or Texas toast. Their variety of side options are better than other BBQ places. They have two picnic tables outside under a covered patio. We sat out here and were checked on while we were eating. Great food and service, two thumbs up. read more

Service is great. Food is excellent. Ambiance is fine for the type of place this is. It bit pricey, but hey everything is.

I was in the area after a long walk at a nearby park with my baby. I am always in the mood for bbq lately and we have been wanting to try Four 441 South BBQ, so I placed an order online via Toast and drove right over. About 10 minutes later I did get an email that my order had not been confirmed by the restaurant. I gave them a call and got it sorted. All in all my order took a little over 30 minutes from when I placed it online. I didn't have an issue parking when I arrived, but I can see how parking may be tight during peak times. When I arrived my order was not quite ready. I was told it would be another 5 minutes so I went back to my car. Just when I was ready to go back inside to check on my order, someone was coming outside to bring it to me. This was so so so so sweet as I had my baby with me. I was so touched by their kindness as they absolutely did not need to do that! My order unfortunately was incomplete as I was missing all of the bbq sauces (and I'd paid for an extra because we were anxious to try several), all of the bread, and all of the pickled onions. I was very disappointed to have found out when I got home as I live 30 minutes away. We ordered the following: Brisket Ribs Wings Mac & Cheese Cole Slaw Pimento Cheese Grits The brisket was probably some of the most flavorful brisket we have ever tried. We ordered the fatty cut. I wish the fat had rendered a bit more than it did, but otherwise it was great. I don't really care for lean brisket, so I'd likely get the fatty brisket again. I'll just keep my fingers crossed it is a little more rendered next time. The ribs & wings were really flavorful, too. I got the wings "OG" and I thought that was a house wing sauce or something as there was no description. These were just plain. I'd have preferred some sort of description or explanation somewhere as I'd have selected a sauce for the side. The pimento cheese grits were out of this world! So creamy and delicious. This was by far our favorite side dish. The slaw was refreshing and definitely not over dressed. I do prefer a touch more dressing than it had, but the flavor was great and it added a cool bite to an otherwise heavy meal. The mac & cheese was not our favorite, but I'll chalk it up to personal preference. There is honestly no way to please everyone and I'm sure many find it delicious. I'm sad we didn't get the full experience without the sauces, bread, and pickled onions. But all in all it was good food and the service was top notch! read more

Oh my...I am a glutton for punishment. This was a to-go order, it's Saturday and wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt that because it's Saturday, the food is going to be the best of the best. No...Naw...I can't. The brisket tasted like it was cooked last Saturday...dry and crumbly, and no flavor nor smoke. I picked through this trying to find and enjoy any resemblance of succulent meat...it wasn't giving. The pictures don't remotely capture the struggle of this meat. And look at that decrepit wing...overcooked and hard. That thing was fighting me...the skin was holding on for dear life. Georgia has some of the worst BBQ. It's sad when brisket from Bucee's is better than an actual restaurant. read more
