We decided to sit outside on the patio, which was a nice vibe. They had traditional Spanish music playing inside, which really added to the experience, and the overall atmosphere was very clean and welcoming. The restrooms were also clean, which I always appreciate. We started with the guacamole fresco and it was amazing, super fresh and exactly how I like it. I ordered the chicken quesadilla for $12 along with a sparkling water, and my partner got the lengua tacos with a side of refried beans. Not to mention, the presentation of these dishes were very satisfying to look at. Our food came out in under 10 minutes, which honestly surprised us in the best way! The staff checked on us consistently and made sure everything was good. My quesadilla came out hot and delicious, and the portions were very generous. Both of us left full and happy, and for the price, it was more than worth it. I'd recommend this place to any crowd really whether that be families, a casual lunch, a gathering, or even a date spot. My standards are to get the "popular" or leading menu item(s) the first time, usually cheap tacos so get a few to sample: chorizo, pollo, and barbacoa. They just didn't have much flavor to them or anything unique to draw me in. The sauces (red and green) are very good but they didn't add enough zip for me. I rarely leave food on the table but did this time. On a very positive note - very friendly staff and clean kitchen and eating areas. The seafood soup some gentlemen were eating looked great and the staff recommended the large version for more seafood. Give it a try, but there are street places nearby I put a bit higher.

Our expectations were never especially high, but it was familiar and convenient. Unfortunately, over time, the red flags have really started adding up. The first major issue was when I ordered the salmon tacos and the salmon was completely raw inside. The shrimp fajitas were also rubbery, with hardly any peppers, and overall the food was below average. We decided to give it another chance today, and unfortunately, it was even worse. While sitting there with soup and tacos and keeping it simple for the kids with cheese nachos, we noticed a giant roach crawling across the floo. The waitress did not see it, but she also barely checked on us throughout the meal. We eventually had to get another employee's attention and ask them to find her so we could even get our bill and pay. The soup was lukewarm, and the kids' nachos barely had any cheese. After seeing the roach, I could not bring myself to eat there, so I had the tacos boxed up to take home. Once I got home and tried them, they were incredibly salty and barely edible. It is honestly such a shame to see a place decline this much. At this point, we will be taking our business elsewhere.
