It gets the job done. I usually come here when I'm gifted a gift card or have a coupon and for those occasions, it fits the bill and hits the spot. I usually sit at the bar and each time the bartender is friendly and is usually also serving the entire floor area around the bar...and sometimes other areas of the bar. While there is nothing truly great here, the appetizers and steaks are good for the money. The bread is always hot and fresh, the side salad is fresh, and the fries hot and delicious. The steaks usually come out a little over than ordered (I usually order medium and it comes out medium-well or a touch on the well done side). But it still tastes good and isn't overly tough. I'm not going to complain when I'm usually getting a special and I'm paying with a gift card. All and all, it's worth the price paid and is actually pretty good steak. read more

Despite being shorthanded due to call-outs, the veteran staff handled the rush like absolute pros. We sat at the bar and were greeted by Monica, whose genuine smile never faded even though she was doing the work of five people. Izzy jumped in seamlessly to keep the hot bread and fresh salads coming. The highlight was the kitchen--we heard the OG staff had to man the grill, and Rachel knocked it out of the park. It was pretty busy for a Monday night but was seated quickly anyways table for four. The service was excellent and we were asked for our drink orders so much choices almost too many but I went with a vodka mule. It was delicious and hit the spot. For dinner I had the filet with a sweet potato. The chef must have thought they were small so I got two. The steak cooked exactly the way I wanted medium rare. Upon entry my fiancé and I were welcomed with an overwhelmingly humid smell of mildew as if someone had tried to mop the carpet just prior to our arrival. The hostess sat us and doled out the menus and we proceeded to sit and wait for over 15mins without so much as anyone taking our drink order. The staff, to whom our booth was across from, seemed more concerned with eating their meals in the galley. After 20mins we decide to go across the street to Outback Steakhouse and in the time it took us to go unnoticed in longhorns we all but had our main course served. We go to this restaurant quite often and like to sit in the bar at a booth. We have always had great service and food. But last night was horrible. Apparently the kitchen does not know how to make medium rare chopped steaks. We each had medium rare but two did not want seasoning on the meat. They bring out each meal separately and three of the steaks were cooked well done. One person got her steak medium rare finely but had the seasoning. The other waned ketchup for his steak and never got it. The other two were finally medium rare but the chopped steak was like a smash burger. We were there for two hours for a simple dinner. They should have given us all free meals as we didn't enjoy it. All they offered was dessert. We went on a Saturday afternoon, yes it's a Saturday and in December. We did the waitlist and the wait was not long. The waitress took our order and was fine. We ordered SALAD with our filet. We did not receive our salad for 30 minutes, nor did the waitress come by and check on us. After 30 minutes we received a wilted salad and shortly after that our steaks arrived. We were in this location for lunch yesterday. I asked for a very hot onion soup and a Caesar salad. My soup was cold (I believe it was reheated in the microwave and for the Caesar Salad the lettuce was more the ribs than the leaves. So, I practically did not eat anything. My husband asked for a Chicken Parmesan, and this hard, we did not eat much. The waiter was pleasant but did not ask us why we didn't eat. This is the second location that I eat in Longhorn and the quality has deteriorated a lot. It will be my last. Lunch was more than $35 and it was a waste of money.
