This was our first time coming to "The Roadhouse" for dinner, we recently moved to Sandy, Or and sadly there are no good restaurants out here, unless you consider Denny's good, or a Crusty old diner I'd rather not mention. We were fortunate to get seated right away, I had the Peppercorn New york, my steak was a perfect medium! Yay! I added the hay bale of onion rings to my steak and had a house salad and loaded baked potato. My husband had the Prime Rib because thats what Marcus, our server recommended. He said, "Get it while it lasts" so we thought we better jump on it, and let me tell you what, that is best Prime Rib I have EVER HAD. The meat was so succulent, and the au jus and creamy horseradish just melted in your mouth. It was DIVINE. Had it not been for Marcus I think my husband just would have ordered a burger, this man deserves a raise. We usually dine in on Sundays so hopefully Marcus will be there again so we can have the perfect meal yet again! If you haven't been to the Roadhouse, you're missing out folks! read more

My dad, my sister, my little nephew, and I had a really awful experience here. My dad ordered steak, I had a club sandwich, my sister had the chicken wings and we got a cheeseburger for the little guy. The steak was 50% gristle, the sourdough bread on my sandwich was dry and stiff, and my sister's "hot" wings and fries were cold. My dad and my sister both asked their food to be taken back, but I didn't want to do that in front of my nephew, so I took the food home and threw it away. The waitress was rude from the get-go and worse when my dad and sister started telling her what was wrong. It was also tough to get her attention. We had to go and search for her a several times. It was very obvious she didn't like her job and her attitude showed it. Later, I called the manager and he said he could give us a free meal, but for me, it wasn't about the money and I wouldn't want to eat that food again. The food and the service were absolutely terrible. read more

So disappointed once more in this place. It used to fun, friendly, and fast. My last two visits were so underwhelming. We were told it was a 20 min wait, yet it took 50 minutes to be seated. Then another 40 to receive food. The second time was tonight. Not busy on a Friday night at 6:00 so we were sat immediately. Sweet hostess. Our server was apparently not happy to have us in her section. A curt hello and an order placed. We had to wave down a busser to get extra napkins, water, and rolls. One out of 5 entrees arrived correct. The rest were overcooked, didn't have correct sides, or was the wrong item completely. No one came back to the table for 15-20 min. We asked a server in another area to find our server so we could get what we needed to enjoy our meal. Totally clueless. Apparently they don't care about service or food quality. Luckily there are more options now in this town. read more

I don't usually do reviews but my experience was so good I just had to do a review. Our visit started with nice greeting and the young girl in front was even kind enough to hold the door open for my elderly grandmother, how sweet! Our wait was a little long because it was VERY BUSY, apparently the weekends are typically like this according to other patrons, my sister told me this is the best steak house in town so of course we had to try it! We had Marcus as our server, and let me tell you what, he was amazing. Once he got wind we were upset about the wait he made sure to have some delicious appetizers brought to the table and man, let me tell you those Texas Eggrolls are to die for! Do not visit Gresham without dining at the Roadhouse, you won't be disappointed, and thank you again to Marcus for the excellent service, we will be back! read more

The food and atmosphere were as expected. I like peanuts to snack on before the main course. Being able to throw them on the floor is a bonus! If we had an average waitress, then our visit would have been a typical visit to an average steakhouse. However, Tiffany L. turned our visit into something special. She engaged and served us well! She was fun, but yet respectful to our space and company. There was a slight mix up when the wait staff brought our food, but Tiffany addressed the problem and ensured our orders were correct. When we had a question regarding something else, she was patient with us and addressed our issue with concern. You could tell that she was genuinely concerned about enduring that we had an enjoyable lunch and that everything was in order. Thanks, Tiffany, for serving us and for a memorable lunch! read more

Although steaks and potatoes are certainly my favorite foods, this place sorta annoys me. Every time I ask for my steak medium it comes out well done, which is sooo annoying when it happens nearly every time (especially at a steak house). But what was is even MORE annoying is when I found a spider in my strawberry lemonade, YES A SPIDER, and the waitress tried to tell me it was just a leaf from the strawberries (yes, somewhat possible...if you don't know the difference between a spider and a leaf) so then she proceeded to take the spider off the table (dead) and roll it around in her hand until she finally agreed with me (and the whole table) that it was indeed an insect in my lemonade. But did they take off the $3 lemonade from our bill, nope. Grrr read more

Ugh... I've been eating here since I was a kid and it's been rapidly declining the last few years. Hostesses are snotty, smart ass high schoolers, and most of the servers are clearly miserable, which makes sense seeing how little the management cares about their guests. Very pretentious attitudes here. Always feel like a complete inconvenience at even the smallest request. We came in today for lunch and were helped by an older lady with long blond hair, rolls were petrified, we nicely asked if they had any fresh rolls, to which she gives a confused scowl and loudly asks the table next to us if their rolls were good, as if we were lying to her. I won't be too upset if this place closes down, because the Roadhouse Grill I used to know is long gone. read more

I came in to Roadhouse tonight and had the greatest experience with my server. You could tell that she was very busy but she was very attentive. we had our drinks, got our salads and our rolls, and our entrées came out hot. I didn't mind waiting 45 minutes to get sat because she made our dinner very enjoyable. She seemed like she actually wanted to talk to us and wanted to make sure that we had a great meal. She made sure to get us refills and anything that we needed was there on the table. Also thank you to the cooks my filet was amazing there were no issues with any of our dishes. The remodel also looks great I love the look of the bar and how many new tables there are and also the hand painted mural. We will be back! Thanks Alexus! read more

They recently did a remodel. It was the first time we've been in since they reopened. There were four of us in our group. I had the bison burger which was really good. It had great flavor and was cooked perfectly. The other entrees we ordered were the baby back ribs, bison ribs and another bison burger. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. We also shared an appetizer, Texas egg rolls, which were also good. Even more, our server was outstanding!! Her name was Rochelle. She checked on us several times, was prompt in refilling beverages and was friendly and hospitable. We were very impressed with her attention to detail and how well she did her job. The food was good, but the service was excellent!! read more

7 of us had dinner here last night. I was delightedly surprized at how good dinner was. Amazing Bison Rib Eye Steak and Ribs falling off the bone tender, beautiful grilled vegies on kabob served on pilaf, I had garlic mashed potatoes everything that was supposed to be hot was. Fresh crisp salad and the warmest fresh honey butter rolls to accompany it. Service was great, even though the place was very busy, our glasses were always full and extra napkins there, topped it off with wonderful Lemonade and Tea special drinks from the bar. Beautiful new menu from last time we were here. Loved It! read more

I've always been a fan of Roadhouse and their endless rolls and fantastic hamburgers, but I finally decided to write a yelp review on it. I came in with my girlfriend about a week ago and we were served by a very nice waitress, Tiffany L. Despite all the constant requests to her for more rolls and butter after eating them, she was more than happy to get us more. I would highly recommend this restaurant to those that are looking for good, tasty burgers. read more

This is the type of restaurant that people from Gresham can brag about. Yes, we are known for being a little western out here. Call it red-neck or whatever you want, but the roadhouse creates an atmosphere that accommodates such a Gresham culture. Root beer in the bottle, peanuts on the floor, it all flies and creates a laid back ambiance. I recommend the sirloin with fries. The potatoes are a little bland. Cheesey fries are great too. Tasty tasty! read more

We just recently stopped in for a quick bite on the way home from a long trip to Washington. There are no good restaurant in The Dalles so once we got to Gresham we were starving! Boy are we glad we did, we had Marcus as our server, man can that guy RUN. He is also very handsome! Marcus is a 5 star waiter, alwas checking back to make sure we were happy, the food was hot and fresh, we will surely come back for a dinner like this! read more

My wife and I are divided on the Original Roadhouse Grill. My wife thinks it's too noisy and hit or miss on the food. I like their steaks and side orders. Certainly on the unhealthy side but tastes good to me when I get a hankering for a good slab of meat. Their waiters/waitresses have always been very pleasant. Last time we had Kayla Hower who was an excellent waitress and the reason I am writing this brief review. read more

The food here is pretty good and the Bison ribeye I had last week was too die for, but the service is just so poor that it makes me not want to come back. It's like when they get business, it surprises them. I sat in the bar last time and waited 21 minuted for a glass of iced tea, then another 20 to order, long story short, it took 2 hours to actually leave and I had to go find the waitress and hand her money. read more

My boyfriend and I came in today and both had the All American burger. They were really good and our server Madison was awesome! She was so sweet, had great customer service and made sure we had everything we needed while we were there. I would recommend this place to anyone and suggest the All American burger. I've lived in the area and never stopped by until today. I'll definitely be back again! read more

I love this place!!! We used to have one in Washington and they closed down. Last weekend my friend and I drove to Oregon just to go there. We love it that much! My favorite things are the potato skins, texas egg rolls, and the rolls with honey butter. Our server was Victoria. She was very sweet and attentive. She did not judge us when we order lots of extra food to go! Thank you Victoria! read more

The new management here is trash and the food isn't very good anymore and the prices have unnecessarily gone up. The remodel doesn't even look that great. The only reason I give this place five stars and continue to return is because my favorite waitress Sam is still around. She is always so sweet and provides amazing customer service! I hope she continues to stick around. read more

This is one of my favorite places to go on a Saturday night with my boys. The food experience there is just amazing and I love there prime rib and there strawberry lemonade with the sugar rim. My server was very awesome her name was Sam or Samantha and she was one of the best servers I've ever had except Shay,Shay is also a very good and kind server. read more
