Stopped in for early Thursday lunch. Will was behind the bar and greeted me warmly. He was kind and attentive even though he had 3 or 4 tables and another guest at the bar. As always the calamari was tender and delicious with a crunchy coating. The Caesar salad was fantastic- fresh, crunchy, lightly dressed with hot thinly sliced marinated chicken generously piled on the salad. Croutons were seasoned well and toasty, if cut a bit too big for fork portioning with lettuce & chicken. This might just be our new frequent spot. There's something about the vibe of Oregano's. It's laid back, with a little flair. Thin crust pizza isn't something I typically go for, but they do it exceptionally well. I quite enjoyed the Clark Street Meat Pizza - really tasty sausage and the perfect amount of spice. I also don't typically order a starter, but the Guac-a-Tony was calling my name. An Italian twist on traditional guacamole - outstanding! I think guacamole needed basil all along! The cheesy crisps that go with it are the perfect chip replacement, and good on their own. Our service was great, the only thing I wish I had done differently was ordered a Bellini. They don't offer reservations but my party of 3 didn't have to wait long for a table. The have indoor seating decorated with 1950s memorabilia like a retro diner. I ordered the Coop De Ville Jumbo Chick Parm which includes two breaded chicken breasts served over fettuccini topped with our house made marinara, provolone and our four cheese blend. It was delicious and I had plenty to take home. They have an email reward program that provides a free dessert for your birthday. I ordered a chocolate chip pizookie without nuts. So, I ordered a Heckuva Slice and have to say that it was delicious. Didn't think to take a Pic of it before I dove into it , but considering that every time I've come here I've never left unsatisfied? I'd say that it speaks for itself. The service was amazing and the ambience very nice. Very relaxing. Just enough attention from the server to make sure everything was good and that there were no problems and always made sure my drink was topped off. I also ordered the cannolies for desert, not something I typically do. The presentation is nice; looks just like their pictures. Very sweet. The crust was just crunchy enough to hold everything together, yet soft enough to easily bite through without trying too much. Has a bit of an overt cinnamon-sugar taste to it too. Very, very good. We visited here long long ago before kids. This time we stop by after church on Saturday night. Actually we called to asked if it is crowded and make a reservation if necessary. But the one who answered the call said that for 4 people it would be around 10mins, so no need to make a reservation. Decided to give Oregano a try because I was seriously craving pasta. We placed our order online and opted for in-store pickup. The inside of the restaurant was really cute, and I enjoyed the cozy ambiance, definitely a nice vibe for dining in. Even though we ordered ahead and it takes us about 20 minutes to get there, the food still took another 15-20 minutes to be ready once we arrived, which was a bit of a wait. I ordered the Italian Flag Lasagna. Portion-wise, it was generous, but flavor-wise, it fell a bit flat for me, I'd rate it a 5/10. My husband went with The Coop De Ville Jumbo Chick Parm. He liked the chicken parm itself but found the pasta it came with pretty bland. Our daughter had a simple pepperoni pizza. It looked very plain, but she ate it without complaint, so it did the job! Twenty years ago this was my favorite dine-in restaurant when I moved to Sierra Vista. My husband and son liked it, too. We would have a large pizza and share it. The place has a large dining area and outdoor patio as well. I stopped in again on a Sunday night, 12 January, in memory of a dear friend whose funeral I attended earlier. She and her husband always raved about this place as they once ran an Italian restaurant in Hereford, AZ. Being back here brought back sentimental feelings. The dominant red and green colors still remain. The place was busy and loud. The place was crowded on a Sunday night. I sat at a bar since I was by myself and ordered a large Chicago-style pizza with mushrooms and spinach to go. I was waited on right away and served water while I waited. It took 40 minutes for my pizza to bake, which is normal for such a thick dough. It had plenty of toppings on it and a lot of gooey cheese. You don't have to keep asking for refills, but you will t be ignited either. And it's about the actual place, cozy booths, nice bar with comfy high bar height seats plus a patio. I had a problem with the way this business will charge you nearly $14 for a Caesar Salad (pretty much all lettuce and nothing else A couple of croutons a thimble full cheese shreds) which clearly is not worth more than $4. To me it shows they don't mind being unethical in charging prices that are fair. There is no way they can justify the pricing of their ceasar salad. OMG!!! This was the best pasta I have EVER had. We first ordered the cheese curds and fried zucchini. Amazing. Then came the entrees. Wow. The hakuna Piccadilly was the most amazing pasta dish I have ever eaten. My kids even stopped eating their Mac n cheese and ravioli to help me eat it. I love the Alfredo the dark pasta yet this trip I opted for the Italian gold wings and waffle fries. These wings should be a crime foe how good that sauce is! Like a spicy sweet honey mustard. I've eaten here twice recently and both times the food was amazing. The first time I had the chicken parmigiana and the second time I had the deep dish cheese pizza. The thin crust pizza was always one of my favorites. The thin crust pepperoni was put under the cheese and was thin and crispy. They changed it the past few years and moved the pepperoni on top of the cheese, made the crust slightly thicker and more doughy. It was really greasy and mushy. The atmosphere of this restaurant is the best thing about it. I love the decor. The vintage LIFE magazine covers in the bathroom are so much fun to look at. The entire restaurant feels like you e stepped back in time. The food is okay - good not great. We ordered the calamari and it was really really awful.
