Tried Bazil's for the first time and sat in their bar area to order pizza. The ambiance is so great with all the string lights and stained glass. The pizza was very thin crust which was so great! We did ask for a side marinara since the pizza we got did not have a sauce base! We got the 5 cheese roasted red peppers and the artichoke-shrimp but with no shrimp. The cheesecake was also delicious and gave us chocolate sauce we could put on top! read more

We went here to celebrate a family members 30th birthday. I made the mistake of looking here on Yelp for the menu prior to going. The items on the menu on here is for their pizza place on other side of the building and they serve VERY different food. So I am uploading the actual menu on here. They do have wonderful mood lighting, it is a fairly quiet and romantic place. All things Italian. Serving sizes are huge and the wait staff is fantastic. Pleasant ambiance and friendly service helped save the rating for a restaurant that seems to forget they are located in a desert- a/c please! Every member of our party was overheating. The starter salad, soup, and bread were the only decent part of the meal. I had the cannelloni with mushroom sauce. It was like eating sand in a cheese glob with 4 small mushrooms. The meat and what should have been a crepe were a dry, crumbly chunk lacking flavor and any pleasing texture. Opting for only cheesecake after being told the carrot cake was "not fresh today" we were disappointed to find they ruined cheesecake. Wet texture?!This was a terrible meal. We have been loyal customers of Bazil's for decades. Recently, we picked up a to go order and the quantity of the items were much less for the same price and they left out a few items we ordered. When we brought it to the owner's attention after we paid full price for the items we didn't receive, the owner yelled at us in front of the other customers and told us never to come back. We were there last night September 5th 2025.Four of us.Foid was very disappointing! Salad had way too much vinegar in it causing me to cough and choke a bit.Our fettuccine dishes, my escargot appetizer and my chicken dish tasted like they had been frozen a very long time before being served to us.we had to ask for refills even though they had just opened and wasn't busy.We were so disappointed in this meal and it was a waste of Our hard earned money.Just for my husband's meal and mine over 100 plus tip.We will not be back and cannot recommend!! Weird experience tonight. The manager (I think, she was a blonde older lady) came to ask for our drink order. 2 of us were unsure and 1 of us placed a drink order. She became irritated and said "well I guess I'll just come back, I'm not going to put only 1 drink in." She then took the wine list from us and we had to ask for it back. Her overall attitude was suggesting that she was annoyed to have us there. The food was good enough but took a while to come out. The same lady came back and tried to take our salad when we had just begun eating it. Honestly, the experience would've been great but immediately starting off with a rude lady ruined the whole experience and made us regret even coming to Bazil's. read more

My husband and I go to Bazils on a regular basis. The owners, Sandy and Max, are terrific people, and the food is some of the best in town. Their Italian food is outstanding, wonderful salad dressing and great marinara, and the other dishes are delicious. Great chicken Alfredo! They take cash only but it gives it a home town feel I like- just have to be prepared. The cook came out and told me about the quality ingredients himself! He makes the Alfredo from scratch. Only thing is $7 for the added chicken is a lot, and the cashier said it was two breast, which it it isn't. The sauce is delicious though. read more

It has been several years since dining here. I used to visit family here often and it was our go to place. So I missed it!! Luck would have it.... I was back in town.. Yay me!! Made a reservation. Was greeted warning and sat at a booth in the dining room. I LOVE that no much has changed here. Was immediately poured water by a nice young man. Our server Taylor game over. Lovely server and offered beverages. Had the fabulous Bazils martini! Blue cheese olives!! It did not disappoint!! Onward to appetizer! The Escargot. It was great. One of the best!! ( it was years ago too). Comes with garlic bread toasts too. Then the salad with the famous dressing. And the soup. Both wonderful. Class of wine was now needed!! Wonderful wine list by the glass. I ordered the chicken Francaise. Outstanding. . Perfect portion. Cheese ravioli for my dining companion. Very good. Honestly... I live in Phoenix and wish I was able to come here more often. The food was subpar and extremely overpriced. I would not recommend it. At the end of the night, the best part of dinner was the salad, although it was served with hot plates. The pasta fazool tasted like cold spaghetti O's. Pizza had an odd crust that tasted store bought, not fresh. The chicken parm was a couple of chicken strips on a puddle of luke warm sauce. Unfortunately, our table of 7 spent over $240 and not one person enjoyed their meal. Never been here before, and I can guarantee you that none of us are ever going back. Too bad. Just awful, I asked for a particular drink, my mistake I called it the wrong thing, server said he would get it corrected anyways, watched the bartender just pour it into a different cup. Food was cold , long long wait times between courses, menu was missing words making it confusing. There was a small group at the bar being very very loud and cussing, staff did nothing. We never saw our server while we were eating. Some guy with messy hair and possibly drinking (manager?) came up and thanked us for waiting then awkwardly walked away. I promise it's worth the read... We went to dinner tonight for a birthday celebration. When we walked in, we were greeted promptly and asked, "Fine dining, pizza, or both?" I asked her to repeat it, and she said the same thing. I said,"Im not sure? I don't understand the question." All while looking at my party for help. I said, "I'm not sure. We are here for dinner." She repeated the question...again. I guess she asked so she knew where to seat us. She said she would bring the third place setting but never did (I had to ask for the silverware, plate, and napkin separately). I ordered the lemon garlic chicken. The salad was good, nothing spectacular, the soup was good, warm and nothing spectacular, and then the entree came. It had potatoes (not on the menu, and I don't care for them in general), and two pieces of chicken swimming in sauce. Like at least a cup or two in the bowl with the chicken and potatoes. I took a bite and thought it was pretty bland, kinda gross. My BF tasted it (he likes everything) and said it was gross. I told the server I would like the chicken parm instead. When it came out, it was two chicken strips in a bowl of sauce. The sauce was delicious, but it definitely didn't look like what they had served my BF, and they didn't bring the pasta with it. I told her they shouldn't have served it like that, but it was good, and I would eat it. I asked to speak to the manager. I told my party I was going to pay no matter what, I just wanted to let her know what was wrong. After I told her it tasted like bland boiled chicken, she said, "I tasted it, we all tasted it, and it was delicious. We knew then that there was no pleasing you." I replied, "Well, it's clear I am not going to get anywhere with you, so thanks." When she said something else, I again replied, "I'm good, thanks." I was shocked and upset, and my BF was pissed. We left the restaurant, and when they chased us down to pay, I said no. His mom went back and took care of it, but the manager then said, "Bullshit, you don't get to eat for free."
