We only been here a few times, usually to order and pick-up pizza from here. Not a fan of it. There are way better places to get pizza.

Bazil's is the best pizza in Tucson, hands down! We usually opt for takeout and the team is always so friendly even when busy.

I was waiting for my friend and figured I'd have to wait at the front. But no, the hostess seated me immediately. While waiting for my friend, Alex (Alejandro) came to the table and, with a smile, asked me for my drink order. He brought two glasses of water and then checked on me a few times while I waited for my (late) friend. He keyed in the password for the free wifi on my phone. When my friend showed up, we decided what we wanted to order and as soon as we set the menus down, Alex was there to take our orders. I told him that we would be there awhile as friend and I had some catching up to do. While waiting for our food, he stopped by to tell us that our food was just about ready. The runner brought the food. Alex stopped by with more water for us several times. He left us alone until we signaled we were ready for our tab. The place was busy but he never bothered us or made us feel like we should leave. The salads were quite good. My large portion of salmon was perfectly cooked as were the shrimp on friend's salad. We ordered the focaccia bread and it was warm, tender and was served with olive oil. All in all a great experience. A lot of that had to do with Alex. I'll go back, hoping that he's still there.

I was skeptical about the margarita, but it was delish and just the right level of sweetness! I knew the goat cheese would be tasty based off of the reviews, and it was. I ordered the spaghetti with meatball off of the happy hour menu, while my mom ordered a tasty mushroom and ricotta dish off of the dinner menu. We were both incredibly happy with our choices. Mine was the perfect size with even a bit leftover to take for lunch the next day. My mom had a ton leftover after being completely sated. They even brought me a hefty piece of lovely tiramisu with a candle for my birthday. The real star, though, was the chocolate cake my mom ordered. Yum! The atmosphere is lovely and open but a bit loud due to how busy it was even early in the evening on a Wednesday. I strongly recommend a reservation. And our server was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend and will definitely be back!

We spent summer in Italy and I became obsessed with the pizza there, so when found out vero amore was only place to have Italian certificate of authenticity in all of Tucson, had to go. Plus, cheese wheel! We had a very nice server, who made good suggestions and made sure timing of food was perfect. The cheese wheel was manned buy a guy who's name I have forgotten (Patrick?) who was great. He encourages pictures and videos and. Questions and was very engaging while he made our delicious dish. And the pizza was legit. You could smell the basil it was fresh. We enjoyed the toasted ravioli appetizer too, although I thought the Caesar salad dressing was only so so. Great desserts of panna cotta and the sea salt caramel gelato is some of best I have had. Just be warned, they had a sign up that said starting in January no cash will be accepted for payment.

Even though the restaurant was open for business they did not answer the phone! Warning! I finally had my call answered in the evening and made our reservation and informed them that we were interested in the 'Cheese Wheel Linguine' as you are required. We were then informed while ordering that they would not be doing the 'wheel' due to 'callouts' that night. OK, so I tried to order (4) different bottles of Chardonnay and they were out of three of them. We started with an appetizer of 'calamari' and it came 'burnt' and like rubber. We also ordered their famous Caesar Salad and were never served. We then decided to order a pizza which was served to us cold, uncooked and doughy. The poor wait staff and cooks are not managed correctly and were well over whelmed with no help. I was informed that the restaurant has 'new ownership' as they were purchased by 'Flying Leap Vineyards' and have been recently having staffing issues, inventory issue's and the new owners have cut back on everything. They did credit us on our bill for the cold uncooked pizza and the burnt calamari that was not edible. Our waiter felt so bad but, as we told him it was not his fault we were leaving without eating dinner 90 minutes later. Flying Leap Vineyards needs to somehow overcome this type of quality and improve things in a hurry otherwise ' just shut the doors' and sell Wine!

Then we ordered tomato basil soup, cannelloni, shrimp picatta, chicken marsala, osso bucco, and sausage rigatoni pasta. Everyone raved about the food, each entree was beautifully presented and came out piping hot! Ah how could I forget the drinks. One of us ordered the limoncello lemon drop, and I ordered the comfortable Italian. Both drinks were nicely balanced, the flavor it was so pleasing to the palate, and very easy to drink. After spending 12 years in Arizona all of it in the Northwest Tucson area cannot believe that I've never happened upon this place until yesterday.
