My absolute favorite is their fresh Antipasto Salad and warm Ciabatta bread. I highly recommend ordering a side of their scampi butter for the bread. Yum! This visit, I had the Baked RigaTony, and my daughter ordered the Deep Dish Lasagna with marinara sauce. Both dishes were excellent--hot, flavorful, and generously portioned. They also have great weekday lunch specials. The Chicken Cutlet Picatta is another favorite of mine. Great food, friendly service, and a restaurant that's been a longtime favorite of mine. SOCIETY! What a beautiful little hidden gem in Tempe! And WOW, what a wonderful experience!…read more First, a little tip on finding this place. Society is located on the second floor of the plaza, and you might actually walk right past the entrance! If the line for Tempe Improv gets long, it can partially block the double doors. Just look carefully, and you'll find your way in! Once you walk inside, it's like stepping into a completely different world! The atmosphere is absolutely gorgeous! Romantic, trendy, a little glamorous, and definitely POPPIN'! Between the beautiful chandeliers, cascading flowers, colorful lighting, and stylish décor, I couldn't stop looking around. Whoever designed this place did a fantastic job! We had reservations, and I would HIGHLY recommend making them. This place can fill up quickly, and I can certainly understand why! Now, let's talk about the FOOD! Several people had recommended that we try the Whipped Feta appetizer, so of course we had to order it. OH MY GOODNESS! This was hands down one of the most delicious appetizers I've had in a LONG time! The whipped feta was creamy, with this wonderful honey combination in the middle that brought everything together beautifully. Paired with the bread, it was absolutely fantastic! I'm not kidding when I say I could've ordered that appetizer and made an entire meal out of it! LOL! If you visit Society, PLEASE try the whipped feta! For dinner, I ordered the Chicken Alfredo, which came with their spinach-infused pasta. And WOW, that was delicious too! The pasta was wonderful, the sauce was flavorful, and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Definitely not your ordinary Alfredo! My friend ordered the Penne alla Vodka, which looked delicious, although I didn't get a chance to sample it. Guess that gives me another reason to return! And can we talk about the SERVICE?! Absolutely wonderful! Our server was attentive, friendly, and always checking on us to make sure everything was taken care of. We never felt forgotten, and everything flowed so nicely throughout our dinner. Then came a little surprise! They found out we were celebrating my birthday and brought out a birthday dessert! How sweet was that?! I certainly wasn't expecting it, and it made an already wonderful evening even more special. Between the amazing atmosphere, delicious food, and excellent customer service, Society really impressed me. Would I return? ABSOLUTELY! HANDS DOWN! This is a wonderful place for a date night, birthday celebration, or just an evening out with friends. It's beautiful, lively, and has the food and service to back it up. And you better believe I'm ordering that whipped feta again! In fact, I might not even share it next time! LOL! Thank you, Society, for such a memorable birthday dining experience!

VinciTorio Restaurant 1835 E Eliot Road…read moreTempe, 85284 The Italian restaurant that we were going to go to was at capacity tonight, so we decided to try this one. We had no reservation, but were seated immediately when we entered. We were presented with menus quickly, and our waitress was ready to take orders less than two minutes after we sat down. We asked her to come back, and after some time she returned. Companion ordered a small pizza with ham and pineapple on it. While it was properly executed, there was a dearth of pineapple and ham on it. Companion quietly ate it without complaining. For myself, I ordered lasagna. It came with a salad and some thin slices of garlic bread. The salad was adequate though it could have been made with some smaller pieces of greens and a different balsamic vinegar. The balsamic given with the salad was fresh and acidic rather than mellow as most better grocery stores carry. I wasn't expecting an aged balsamic, but this was a poor imitation of balsamic vinegar. My lasagna came next. A piece about 3 X 3 inches square in the middle of a huge oval plate. It was swimming in a pool of rather fresh tomato sauce. The sauce was lacking in body but did have a nice flavor. I had thought the lasagna was supposed to have meat in it, but I must have been wrong, because it was several layers of pasta with loads of cheese melted on it. For my taste buds it was totally unsatisfactory. I ate perhaps ¼ of the piece and put my fork down. I did not take any of it home. This restaurant needs a makeover. It looks tired and old. Sanitation was good, service was poor, and my food was not very good. 2 Stars

He was super nice and accommodating, and the food was also pretty good. The restaurant was pretty empty, though, at the time that we went, which was around 2:00. The shishito peppers were delicious. Love those. For the pasta, I wanted the fettuccine, but I don't eat dairy, so I ended up just getting the fettuccine with olive oil and putting lemon juice on it. I added the salmon, and I actually really like that a lot. For the shrimp dish, that was actually really good. I didn't expect it to be like a full soup, but the broth was so good, and the shrimp with the bread was good. I wish they gave a little bit more bread, but I took the remainder of the sauce and put it on my pasta. It was all around just a very good meal. We sat outside on the patio, and that was really nice, especially since the weather was very comfortable. The restaurant was clean, and I will come back.

We tried several pasta dishes and everything came out rich, fresh, and full of flavor. The creamy gnocchi with mushrooms and spinach was especially good, and the red sauce pasta had a nice depth without tasting overly heavy. Portions were generous, and the pasta itself held up well under the sauces instead of getting lost in them. The cocktail was also a standout and had a fun spicy, citrusy kick. Service was relaxed and friendly, and the whole meal felt more personal than polished in a good way. A solid Tempe spot when you want comforting Italian food without the chain restaurant feel.

I always go for the Roasted Salmon as it's a perfect balance of colors and taste. There were mixed in cauliflower and a bit of broccolini. I would definitely love to have more broccolini though. I ordered this as part of the summer menu which it comes with a choice of their daily soup (which was a creamy chicken soup on a Saturday), Sicilian meatballs, Cacio e Pepe, Simple Salad or Charcuterie plate. I went with the charcuterie plate which had a array of foccicia bread, pitted green olives in an olive mix of rosemary or thyme theme taste, sweetened figs over a soft cheese spread, pecorino cheese I think, candied nuts, a jalapeño forward pickled veggies such as carrots, cauliflower, prosciutto, speck (another type of prosciutto). Other dishes were kids Alfredo pasta, Margherita pizza and the ricotta cavatelli which has lump crab meat and shrimp, mint and lemon olive. Our server was absolutely 100 percent as well as the rest of the staff. This place used to do valet but when we came for lunch there was no valet which I appreciated as the lot is just a regular private parking. This still has the same set up as it was 10 years ago or so with the barnyard type of structure and an open kitchen. Oh how I missed coming to this specific location. I'm ready to eat here again!
