What a nostalgic experience! I haven't been to an Oregano's since college! This place did not change one bit in a good way! Still the 50s decor and the classic red and green. Service is spot on. Terry was so friendly and helpful with our selections. My friend and I ordered the simple house salad and the Clark Street meat pizza, and they worked perfectly together! Pizza & salad is what this restaurant does well. I wouldn't bother with the rest. We ordered spaghetti & meatballs and the meatballs came out dry with no sauce or cheese even on them. Who serves meatballs like this? Not to mention they were not very tasty. Thin or pan pizza is a winner! The service was slow and one pizza didn't even come out until we were about done with the 1st. Haven't been here in a long while and wife was craving their Alfredo The Dark dish, which is her favorite. We had Joey as our server and after a bit of a rough start...she made up for it! When we entered, the restaurant wasn't busy and I know they try to seat tables so that all of the servers get their fair share but we were guided over to one of the tiny two-seat tables and we like bigger ones considering we are tad bigger. The hostess got annoyed, her tone and body language were loud and a gentleman, I assume the manager? took us over to another booth, which was perfect and we said so to him. Joey made up for it with her pleasant and happy demeanor and friendly service. We started with their Antipasto Thing-Salad and I asked for a side of ranch because there is nothing better than ranch mixed with Italian! Such a great, fresh salad with these most wonderful bits of fried cheese balls they use for croutons! Such a good salad! Wife got her Alfredo the Dark without meat this time around and was extremely happy. They serve it with a big, roasted jalapeno, which she takes and chops up so it is mixed throughout the pasta. I wasn't feeling saucy so just ordered an adult version of pasta with butter and cheese and it was perfect. Perfectly cooked angel hair pasta and they'll bring you as many bowls as you want! We finished with a piece of cheesecake to go, which we enjoyed at home later that evening. So creamy and covered with a dusting of graham crumbles...a sweet ending for sure! I used to eat at this place all the time before Covid. I don't know why I didn't go back after Covid but I did get I went back today and it was god awful absolutely got awful $50 for a medium pizza and 10 wings. I ate eight wings and one slice of pizza and I regret all of it. I do not recommend this restaurant not out of spite but out of love for my fellow humans. also, my order was wrong. I went in today for lunch. I ordered a bowl of italian wedding soup and garlic cheese bread. It took close to 20 minutes for that to come out, and when it did it was COLD. The meatball sitting in the soup had sat so long that it was dried out and turned dark brown on top. When I asked them to take it back they were very nonchalant about the whole deal. I waited for a while, then just gave up since I had to go find something to eat and get back to the office. They were not extremely busy and seemed fully staffed. The whole team here was a well-oiled machine. The hostesses double-checked to make sure that our server would be able to serve us well. Our server, Tea, kicked butt and was friendly, professional, and quick to get us what we needed and checked up on us frequently. The food was really good. Everything was hot and just delicious. The vibe was good too. It wasn't too crazy and just seeing how well everyone navigates the restaurant, really helps keep the mood happy and fun. My husband and I were having a rough day and wanted some comfort food and a change of scenery and Tea helped turned the evening around for the better. We will definitely come back again. I ordered online for pickup for lunch. I ordered the chicken parmigiana sandwich for pickup at 11:30. I got there a little early at 11:20. I walked into the to go door. A very friendly staff member greeted me. She asked if I had a pick up order. I told her I was a little early. She said to give them a few minutes. Within a couple of minutes I had my order. The sandwich comes with house made chips & slaw. The sandwich was good. It wasn't great because I was crazy about the marinara. It's super chunky & has tomato skins in it. The chicken was crispy and super tender. The sandwich was huge & had 2 chicken pieces on it. It could use a little more sauce or a side of sauce. The chips were good & crispy. The slaw was a bit bland to me. I will most likely order then sandwich again for lunch. I will just click no slaw next time. I will also see if they offer a side of sauce. If not, no biggie. First time to Oregano's and wasn't disappointed. The design and decorations are very up beat and cute. I wasn't very impressed with my salad. The lettuce was wilted and not very fresh. Our server had a lot of tables and while it wasn't horrible service we did have to wait for water, takeout boxes and paying our bill. All but 1 of our entrees were very good. I came to oreganos for dinner the service and food were outstanding. I sat in a booth which was spacious to just relax while waiting on the food. There was music playing but not too loud. I ordered the HAKUNA PICCATA which was so good and it came with garlic bread! YUM. If you like sauce ask them to put extra sauce on the side so you add as desire. Well, after a couple of months I thought of going back to Oregano's, and I am glad I did. Nick, the manager, treated us wonderfully. Our server, Rebecca, was one of the kindest and most attentive servers I have ever had in recent memory. I ordered a new item for me, The Ragin Cajun Pasta, which was out of this world. A little spicy but no too much; very flavorful. Rebecca was very informative and knowledgeable about all items, and Nick came around as well several times to see how our meal was. Nick comped the meal (less alcohol) and reiterated how happy they were that I came back to dine with them. Oreganos did the right thing. They know how to take care of their customers. It has been a while since we went to Oregano's! About 2 months ago we were doing some shopping at Costco in Tempe and we were exhausted and just wanted to have an early dinner and go home and because Oregano's was in the same parking lot we decided to stop in and have dinner and let me tell you, we had the best service at the bar ever!!! The bar tender, Stephanie is completely amazing!!! She is Tentative, listens, suggests, remembers and has an AMAZING personality with a GREAT attitude!! After I found out she is a Cowboys Fan and a Texas Longhorns fan (I am a Georgia Bulldogs fan) I started to give her a little crap and my wife jumped on me for doing it, but let me tell you, Stephanie played along and it turned into a great, fun conversation and experience. You could not ask for a better experience! She is a great bartender. We have other places that we like to go to, but we have been back 5 times since then because of her. We live about 30 minutes from here but come back as much as we can only to see Stephanie, if it wasn't for her, we wouldn't come back. This lady deserves a promotion and a raise and if she leaves, we leave. Great food and excellent service! We celebrated hubby's birthday in July with his Chicago buddies and had the best time. Though the whole place was packed, the private room had 2 large groups, Jaden, Kennedy, Joey (at the door), and manager Sean somehow managed to keep everything fun and under control. The whole place was literally PACKED that day and time (7/12/25, 5-8pm), yet everything went smoothly and everyone in our party had a good time and had an enjoyable experience. Thanks to Jaden, Kennedy, and Sean who were very accommodating in seating our large group promptly and getting all our orders in perfectly. Met a friend here for an early dinner one night during the week. Interior was a little dated but reminded you of an Italian bistro. Our service was good. Food was just ok. The cheese bread was very oily. The zany ziti the pasta was very over cooked which made the whole dish extremely disappointing. [Monday night] my husband and I went in for a late dinner. We had both been working alllll day and what could have easily been a hangry dinner date, our server/bartender, Rebecca DELIVERED. Well here it goes, it's been roughly 5 years since i have dined at Oregano's but i am very glad i came back. The food was seasoned perfectly IMO and the service was Phenomenal. Shout out to my server for help navigating the menu; i believe her name was Adrianna and i apologize if i'm not remembering the name correctly but she had black hair. Amazing personality and genuinely kind to where you could tell she was happy to be at work. She even laughed at my jokes when my friend made it clear i wasn't funny lol.
