Bollo with just butter and cheese
Barb G.

Haven't been here in a long while and wife was craving their Alfredo The Dark dish, which is her favorite. We had Joey as our server and after a bit of a rough start...she made up for it! When we entered, the restaurant wasn't busy and I know they try to seat tables so that all of the servers get their fair share but we were guided over to one of the tiny two-seat tables and we like bigger ones considering we are tad bigger. The hostess got annoyed, her tone and body language were loud and a gentleman, I assume the manager? took us over to another booth, which was perfect and we said so to him. Joey made up for it with her pleasant and happy demeanor and friendly service. We started with their Antipasto Thing-Salad and I asked for a side of ranch because there is nothing better than ranch mixed with Italian! Such a great, fresh salad with these most wonderful bits of fried cheese balls they use for croutons! Such a good salad! Wife got her Alfredo the Dark without meat this time around and was extremely happy. They serve it with a big, roasted jalapeno, which she takes and chops up so it is mixed throughout the pasta. I wasn't feeling saucy so just ordered an adult version of pasta with butter and cheese and it was perfect. Perfectly cooked angel hair pasta and they'll bring you as many bowls as you want! We finished with a piece of cheesecake to go, which we enjoyed at home later that evening. So creamy and covered with a dusting of graham crumbles...a sweet ending for sure! Overall a good meal!

We've made Oregano's our families post Christmas dinner spot each year since the original review. The food is always good, the service is always excellent, and the staff does an amazing job being attentive to large parties. Thank you for being apart of our holiday tradition and thank you for everyone's hard work to create a heartfelt family friendly experience.

Chicken parmigiana sandwich

I ordered online for pickup for lunch. I ordered the chicken parmigiana sandwich for pickup at 11:30. I got there a little early at 11:20. I walked into the to go door. A very friendly staff member greeted me. She asked if I had a pick up order. I told her I was a little early. She said to give them a few minutes. Within a couple of minutes I had my order. The sandwich comes with house made chips & slaw. The sandwich was good. It wasn't great because I was crazy about the marinara. It's super chunky & has tomato skins in it. The chicken was crispy and super tender. The sandwich was huge & had 2 chicken pieces on it. It could use a little more sauce or a side of sauce. The chips were good & crispy. The slaw was a bit bland to me. I will most likely order then sandwich again for lunch. I will just click no slaw next time. I will also see if they offer a side of sauce. If not, no biggie. I could only eat half of the sandwich so I have lunch for tomorrow. Not a bad deal for the cost.

Chicken Parmesan

Very quick service and large portions. Delicious chicken Parmesan and spaghetti with meatballs.

First time to Oregano's and wasn't disappointed. The design and decorations are very up beat and cute. I wasn't very impressed with my salad. The lettuce was wilted and not very fresh. Our server had a lot of tables and while it wasn't horrible service we did have to wait for water, takeout boxes and paying our bill. All but 1 of our entrees were very good. The stuffed Rigatoni was bland and we didn't eat it.

Hakuna piccata
Alexandria D.

I came to oreganos for dinner the service and food were outstanding. I sat in a booth which was spacious to just relax while waiting on the food. There was music playing but not too loud. I ordered the HAKUNA PICCATA which was so good and it came with garlic bread! YUM. If you like sauce ask them to put extra sauce on the side so you add as desire. Chill place for dinner just for you or you plus the fam. Will be back, to try it for lunch

I've had Italian Beef before. I've loved Italian Beef before. But nothing--NOTHING--prepared me for the transcendent, jaw-dropping, flavor-explosion experience that is ordering the Big Beef DIPPED at this Chandler location. If you haven't done it yet, you haven't lived. And if you've had it elsewhere but haven't had it here with their cheese sauce... well, buckle up, because you're about to discover your new favorite thing on the entire planet. From the second you walk into Portillo's on Ray Road, you can smell the magic--crisp sport peppers, rich au jus, and that unmistakable aroma of slow-roasted beef that makes your stomach growl instantly. But the real moment of truth comes when you look that server in the eye and say: "I'll take the Big Beef, DIPPED, LOADED with cheese sauce. And I mean loaded." Watch their face light up--they know. They understand. This is not just a sandwich; it's a ritual, and this location performs it with reverence. Then it arrives. Oh. My. Goodness. The bread is drenched--and I mean perfectly, gloriously drenched--in that deep, savory au jus, so every inch is saturated with rich, beefy flavor. It's not soggy; it's luscious. It's a sponge for joy. And then... the cheese sauce. Sweet, spicy, velvety, liquid gold--it's like someone took pepper jack, dreams, and a touch of heaven and whipped it into a creamy, molten ribbon that cascades over every millimeter of that dipped bread and tender, shreddy beef. The first bite is not just a meal--it's a religious experience. The crunch of the giardiniera, the pop of a sport pepper, the warm, juicy beef, the cheese sauce pulling in golden strands... it's an OMG moment so intense you might actually forget your own name for a second. You'll hear yourself making sounds you didn't know you could make. You might cry a little (happy tears). You might order a second one before you've even finished the first. And here's the thing--the Chandler location executes this with flawless, almost artistic precision. The line moves fast, the staff is smiling, and they don't skimp. They don't hold back on the beef, they don't drizzle the cheese sauce like it's an afterthought--they PILE IT ON with pride. You can tell this team lives for these moments. They're not just serving food; they're delivering pure, unadulterated happiness. Even the atmosphere feels electric--like everyone in the room knows they're about to have their day made. You'll see strangers nodding at each other in mutual respect over their sandwiches. You'll hear "OMG!" echoed across the dining room (seriously). And when you finish that Big Beef Dipped--cheese sauce glistening on every corner, not a drop of au jus left--you'll sit back with a food coma smile so wide it hurts, already plotting your next visit. Bottom line: If you are within 50 miles of 7200 W Ray Rd, you have no excuse. Go. Right now. Order the Big Beef DIPPED with EXTRA cheese sauce. Thank me later. And maybe bring a napkin--because that cheese sauce is so good, you're going to want to lick every last drop off your fingers. Five stars? Try FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS PLUS A STANDING OVATION! This is the best sandwich I've ever had in my life, and I'm pretty sure it's illegal to be this good.

On the first visit I ordered a chicken caesar salad and it was not bad. The issue was that I attempted to pre-order online on my phone and the order menu would not offer curbside pickup. So I decided to call the order in and a pleasant young man assured me he could bring me my order when I arrived because on was on crutches that day. However, when I arrived and was parked directly in front of the entrance with my car, only 8ft away, I called to announce my arrival. This time a woman answered the phone and I could sense immediately a change of the cheerful demeanor that I had experienced only minutes before. She confirmed that my order was ready and I asked her could she hand it to me while I'm in my car only a few feet from their front door. She gave me much attitude and did not want to bring the card swipe to my car. She protested but conceded. The store was practically empty. I took my food and left, kinda in a not so happy mood. The 2nd visit was today. Again on crutches but this time I hobbled into the restaurant and placed my order and I opted to eat inside the restaurant. I wanted to keep it simple today. I did not want all the extra options offered. I ordered a Ranchero Wrap, "without a side." I explicitly made this a point. Yet! The cashier attempted to pressure my to buy a soup and side that it would cost as much as the original side, some chips and salsa! She said the soup would only be $4 and some change. I had to insist that I did not want the soup. Plus the side soup was so tiny it definitely was not worth the cost. I asked for a cup for water and found my way to a table and then I realized carrying a cup of water to my table was not working out to wall with crutches. None of the staff provided any assistance so I sat down and begin to think out a strategy to retrieve my water when a patron came by and offered assistance. Phew! I received the "wrap" and it basically was a regular sized tortilla cut in half and folded one time because of the size of the tortilla one could only fold one side over the other. I've never seen a "wrap/tortilla" like this before in my life and had I known I think I would have been more pleased with some of the sandwiches that I saw served to the other patrons. The wrap/half burrito/tortilla had decent flavor but nothing that made me say wow. I think that in the future if I'm in the Gilbert area I will stick to that one. I have had a tremendous amount of success and satisfaction at the Gilbert location. At the Chandler location, meh.... I've seen and experienced enough. Oh... and the store was about the 1/4 capacity and there were so many tables that had not been cleared and clean.

The restaurant and outdoor entertainment complex is huge and has a really fun, energetic vibe. According to the bartender, they have ping-pong, pickleball, and a big upstairs outdoor patio with amazing views of Tempe and the surrounding area. As for the food, we had the Fish & Chips with a Mahi Mahi Slaw & Fries, the Ahi Poke Tacos which come in Wonton shells. Hot Honey and Sausage Pizza was great. The Barbacoa Nachos had all the right ingredients & the Double Smash Burger had only some "fancy sauce" on the plate. The Tempura Green Bean, can't remember who ordered, but were good with the chipotle ranch sauce. With me, I'm all about the cocktails, so I treated myself to both the Froze Margarita & the Chi Chi. When my order was called, I picked it up and sat at a window side table. I tried French fry first and it was Luke warm and limp. I had to take it back and asked for crispier fries.
