This is divey sort of place, a combination of brewery and pizzeria. It's very simple: Food 4.5 stars Service 1 Star I sat down and even though there were only 2 people drinking at the bar and only two other table in the entire place occupied, it took the waiter over 10' to come and get my order. My order was not anything extensive; a few wings and an 8" pizza. It took almost 25' to bring it to my table! I was ready to get up, pay for my drink and leave. During the meal, the server was barely visible; I had to get up on my own to get a refill of my soft drink from the machine... Food was really good, especially the pizza. Dropped in to NYPD Pizza (Chandler) to grab a quick slice, got two and decided to stay a while. I'm a New Yorker so I was pretty interested to see how comparable the pizza would be. New York has some of best pizza around and some might say the absolute best. Well, let me tell you, I was NOT disappointed! I chose a thin-crust sausage slice and a pepperoni slice, and neither had any shortage of toppings. And the flavor?! Yummy yummy with a kick of black pepper that made me smile (I love black pepper!). Been here a few more times on the weekends and service at the tables has been improved over the years. Food has been consistently good. Ambiance hasn't changed and is still about what you'd expect from a NY themed pizza place. I'm still not sure what exactly the "NY Water" is that they use - I suspect it's just marketing. Only recommendation I have is to stop with sesame seeds (it's becoming a more common allergen and should be called out on the menu) and up the garlic on the garlic knots. The cheesy knots were a home run, served hot with melted mozzarella on top w/lots of garlic! I'd come back just to have those again. Our server Joe was super nice and efficient!!! I noticed other guests came in and knew him by name when they greeted him! The minuses were my friend ordered a slice of the pepperoni pizza and I think it had been sitting for a while and wasn't the best, and tasted pretty bland compared to the mushroom slice I had. Delicious pizza and wings! We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon for lunch, and were seated in a booth. In terms of ambiance, the decor was cute, dimly lit with dark tables and chairs. We went simple and ordered the Upstate Wings ie Buffalo wings and a plain cheese pizza. The food took a bit to get to us but we didn't mind. The server was very attentive as well and got us drinks straight away. The wings were sublime! Super crunchy, and well sauced. The sauce was nice and acidic as well with a good amount of heat. I have been here many times and everyone is so fabulous and they are so busy. They never have a break. They are constantly busy. They're always cleaning on top of people coming in and out. Their food is fabulous. I love their pizza. I always get Moscato with my pizza And garlic knots and their salads are excellent. They're very social and friendly outgoing even the manager he's something else is great. He has a great sense of humor like Joey and they are so kind and accommodating.. the atmosphere is great. They have nice lighting inside. They have outside seating great music. They have sports TV and they will change the station if you want to whatever sports you like. It's always been clean. The ambience has always been very happy the customers and especially the workers there and I am glad that I am a customer there for years and I will keep coming back. I came here back in the day when you could color a picture on a paper plate and they would hang them on the wall (yes - a couple of mine made it up there). Family owned and with many locations here in the Valley, these guys have been bringing flavors of authentic New York pizza to AZ since the 90's. I ordered garlic knots, house salad, and San Gennaro Zeppolis via DoorDash. I received garlic cheese knots and crispy cheese. Even if I was interested in eating the incorrect items, I wouldn't because everything arrived cold. The alfredo sauce (that I did not order) was congealed and the cheese on the garlic cheese knots came right off. Also, garlic knots are supposed to be 6 or 12 per order and I only received 4. The zeppoli sauces arrived so I contacted NYPD to let them know about the mistake and their response was "sorry there were 2 DoorDash orders" so both DoorDash orders were packed incorrectly. My first time here, though I drive past it virtually every day. I ordered a house salad with house dressing. It wasn't too bad, though I like a much crispier salad. The dressing tasted good but wasn't quite strong enough or simply didn't have quite enough on the salad, so it sure seemed like it. The croutons were all pretty much stale. The waiter came over with my veggie pizza and asked if it was done enough because I had asked for it extra crispy, as directed by their menu. I also ordered it without tomatoes. So the waiter took my pizza back to the kitchen to slice it. Then he brought it back to my table and realized it was not my pizza at all. I'm hungry. So the pie finally came out about 15 minutes later. I think he had to order a new one. It's not nearly as crispy as the first one have been even though I had approved that when I was not given the opportunity to approve this one. Oh I'm not at all impressed with the thin crust. This has gradually become a go-to place for us and another couple. Great location, not too far from Chandler Fashion Center mall. We grab a booth, get some drinks (a lemonade, iced tea, and two diet sodas), and look over the menu before ordering the usual - my wife goes for a giant salad and I go for a build-your-own calzone (aka a Frank Sinatra). Our friends usually grab a huge pizza and share it with the table. The service here is always fast and friendly and their booths are individualized with signatures from famous national or local sports players. There are tables with chairs, booths, and a bar area. There is always some kind of sporting event being played on several televisions, but they are limited to the bar area so it keeps the dining area more about the food and who you're with which is nice. The food tastes terrific and there's no pressure to vacate your area quickly like some eateries so it's a great place for birthdays, anniversaries, etc. Already looking forward to my next customized calzone... read more

Hmmm... That was actually a good pie. Better than any any any chain pizza slinging place. I've been tired of poor Chinese and Pizza in the valley. This should be a go to pizza fix instead of your chain cardboard places. Not saying its the best but its good. Suggestions would be using a better quality peperoni. Order: lrg 18" pie. Extra peperoni, and add pineapple. (I know, "pineapple" on pizza....) but I like the contrast between savory, cured meats, acidic sauce and a little sweet pineapple. Crust was thin and had a good chew. Sauce was right amount and robust. Cheese was the right amount and good pull. Peperoni was standard and same with the pineapple (maybe warehouse or canned). Fantastic place, I was in town looking to have dinner with some friends. Because there would have been 11 people (7 adults & 4 little ones) I asked my friends if they would be cool with something super casual that all would enjoy. They had no issues accommodating the large group and when three people last minute couldn't make it they had no issues with the empty seats. The service was good. The pizza was pretty good nothing too special but nothing was bad. Prices were good. The cheese pizza took longer than normal, but the manager brought it out saying we accidentally made a medium instead of a large but will be right back with another medium for you free of charge, this actually worked in our favor since one couple had all four kids and were able to take a whole cheese home for them to take to school for lunch.
