6.12.26 - I've known about this place forever and not sure why I never tried it. I was trying to order from elsewhere in Gilbert but their site wasn't allowing me to customize half pizzas and their phone just kept ringing so I decided to try this place instead. Plus, it's much closer! Order: 1 18" Supreme - half no cheese 1 18" Pizza (1/2 Frans, 1/2 Pepperoni) On pepperoni half + mushrooms + Jalapenos + Red onions + Hot honey Frans was good. It's something different but I think I would have liked Margherita more. The pepperoni was also good but I didn't really taste any hot honey on it so Im not sure if there was any added or not. There was a good amount of meats and veggies on both pizzas. The bottom of the pizza and the crust had a nice crunch to them too. I wouldn't mind trying the Margherita pizza next time. Order total for 2 pizzas was $75.62, which seems like a lot. read more

I wanted in to order take out. my order was not huge, just a pizza with wings. It took them a half hour to get that out to me. The location was not busy and they were not understaffed. It all came down to a server manipulating the orders that were placed to ensure her tables were served first. The kid that originally took my order had nothing to say when I finally got my food. There was no apology, and no management around to ensure this type of garbage service didn't happen. So, you've earend your one star review from me, enjoy it, your staff worked hard for it. My advice to management is to keep your eyes glued to how your employees are conducting themselves, because this should have never happened. There are plenty of other places people can get a pizza, and your service spoke loud and clear saying we don't care, go some place else. Will do next time. Pizza gets a -B. work make sure putting enough toppings and cheese. Wings get an F. They were over cooked and dry. Little to no flavor. Overall experience was a -D. If you make semi good food with terrible service in todays competitive pizza market, you will all promote yourselves to no more jobs. Do better. read more

I eat regularly at this NYPD Pizza in Chandler. Always has been great. We drive into Chandler from Gold Canyon for medium pizzas every few weeks. It's a long drive, but we like it better than the NYPD in Gilbert. This past Monday we picked up our pizza, took it home, and it was not good. So little mozerella that there was no taste on the pizza. I'm a NY girl who loves her pizza, and I'm very upset. Good pizza is hard to find in Arizona. I called the restaurant, and was left hanging. I'll try it again, once more. If it's not better, I'll start looking for a good pizzeria again. read more

Just wanted to say your pizza, as far as Arizona pizza goes, is 2nd only to Nellos on Alma School Rd. However, it reminded me so much of the pizza I once had in New Brunswick , New Jersey. Martha B. MacCallum read more

I highly recommend this restaurant. We have eaten here several times. Every time we visit Arizona we come here multiple times while we are here. I absolutely love their pizza and the crust is one of the best. The service is always pleasant and friendly. The establishment is always clean and the aroma of the pizza can drive you crazy. You will enjoy. read more

I love their pizza; I always used to go after my medical appointment in Chandler. During the last visit for lunch, one of the slim, male servers was very consistently inappropriate while serving my table. Tapping on the shoulder consistently during the meal, unsolicited, is just plain weird. I did nothing to cause this inappropriate behavior. It was very creepy; I didn't realize this until I left. I won't return to this restaurant because if a grown male waiter can't respect the personal boundaries of customers in general and a female senior customer sitting alone having her meal, I will find another Italian restaurant in the future. read more

Empty restaurant on a Saturday night should tell you something. Food is below average. Very unsatisfactory. Not terrible but not worth my money. I won't be going back. If you're the restaurant owner, please reassess what you're doing wrong. read more

This is divey sort of place, a combination of brewery and pizzeria. It's very simple: Food 4.5 stars Service 1 Star I sat down and even though there were only 2 people drinking at the bar and only two other table in the entire place occupied, it took the waiter over 10' to come and get my order. My order was not anything extensive; a few wings and an 8" pizza. It took almost 25' to bring it to my table! I was ready to get up, pay for my drink and leave. During the meal, the server was barely visible; I had to get up on my own to get a refill of my soft drink from the machine... Food was really good, especially the pizza. Great dough, very tasty sauce (had to be home made), cooked to how I requested it (soft, not burnt to a crisp). I would give it this another try only because the pizza was very good but it's not likely... read more

The service was on point and we never went without a refill of our drinks. The Italian sausage pizza is my go to. There is enough flavor in the sausage that you don't feel like you're missing more toppings. I wish the cheesy garlic knots had more cheese and more garlic but they were still okay. read more

Food and service, top tier!! Company event and the men that delivered 3 car-fulls of food were so great, even offered to walk it upstairs when they heard our elevator was broken.. food was great! I'm not sure why I keep trying to order bruschetta pizza from nearly every pizza place here because it NEVER even remotely resembles the bruschetta pizza I get in New York. Attached is a picture of a New York style bruschetta pizza vs the one I ordered from NYPD Pizza tonight. it should be covered in diced tomatoes and drizzled with balsamic and it's more like sprinkled with tomatoes and smothered in cheese. Very disappointing. read more

Been here a few more times on the weekends and service at the tables has been improved over the years. Food has been consistently good. Ambiance hasn't changed and is still about what you'd expect from a NY themed pizza place. I'm still not sure what exactly the "NY Water" is that they use - I suspect it's just marketing. Only recommendation I have is to stop with sesame seeds (it's becoming a more common allergen and should be called out on the menu) and up the garlic on the garlic knots. No such thing as too much garlic. read more

I used to rave about this place for their wings. I like my extra crispy and I always ask extra crispy. No flats the last three times I've gotten wings from this place. They've been slimy and not to order. I no longer endorse this place for wings. If basic simple instructions can't be followed my money goes elsewhere. Adios I'm over, i'm tired of driving 25 minutes to your store to pick up an order that should've been ready by the time. I got there to get it home to find slimy wings that are not to order. I'm so disappointed in your kitchen staff now. read more

I went during lunch hour around 1220-1230. I got the 2 slice and 24 oz deal. I ordered cheese and mhargarita slice . The staff super nice and customer friendly. He said my pizza would be ready in 5 minutes . I didn't look at be pizza until I got home which is about 5 minutes away. The pizza looks as if it has been sitting all day and they just added slice of tomato and mozzarella cheese on top and threw in the warmer . I should've have known something was up because my pizza box wasn't hot when I carried it to the car. I am super disappointed. I won't be going back during lunch hour. read more

Delicious pizza and wings! We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon for lunch, and were seated in a booth. In terms of ambiance, the decor was cute, dimly lit with dark tables and chairs. We went simple and ordered the Upstate Wings ie Buffalo wings and a plain cheese pizza. The food took a bit to get to us but we didn't mind. The server was very attentive as well and got us drinks straight away. The wings were sublime! Super crunchy, and well sauced. The sauce was nice and acidic as well with a good amount of heat. The pizza was fantastic as well. Nice chewy, charred crust, light on the sauce and generous on the cheese. A solid pizza. I'm normally not big on cold pizza but this was just as good cold the next day by the way. read more

Dropped in to NYPD Pizza (Chandler) to grab a quick slice, got two and decided to stay a while. I'm a New Yorker so I was pretty interested to see how comparable the pizza would be. New York has some of best pizza around and some might say the absolute best. Well, let me tell you, I was NOT disappointed! I chose a thin-crust sausage slice and a pepperoni slice, and neither had any shortage of toppings. And the flavor?! Yummy yummy with a kick of black pepper that made me smile (I love black pepper!). The atmosphere here was pleasant and the customer service welcoming. So glad I dropped by...it was sooo worth it! read more

Best Pizza ever. Excellent service too. My family and I have been eating pizza for the past 5 years.

This was an odd review for me. I added a point, deducted, then added a point, etc... I finally decided on all 5 pts. I had the 2 slice + drink special - ordered mushroom slices. Came out fresh and hot full of mushrooms and flavor. I added some parmesan and hot peppers and it was a total win! The cheesy knots were a home run, served hot with melted mozzarella on top w/lots of garlic! I'd come back just to have those again. Our server Joe was super nice and efficient!!! I noticed other guests came in and knew him by name when they greeted him! The minuses were my friend ordered a slice of the pepperoni pizza and I think it had been sitting for a while and wasn't the best, and tasted pretty bland compared to the mushroom slice I had. The music was a little jarring at times and would recommend resetting to something more appropriate for a dining experience. The restaurant was super clean and I'd definitely come back read more

Great service,,,,pizzas are. Awesome just like NY. And the dough isvv Co hand tossed for a better Italian pizza

I am a long time customer of this neighborhood restaurant. Whether it's bringing family here, ordering takeout or just swinging by for a quick slice for lunch, NYPD Pizza is a regular stop for me. I came here back in the day when you could color a picture on a paper plate and they would hang them on the wall (yes - a couple of mine made it up there). Family owned and with many locations here in the Valley, these guys have been bringing flavors of authentic New York pizza to AZ since the 90's. NYPD Pizza claims to filter their water exactly how they do it in New York so that the dough taste just like pizza from the Big Apple. They have a variety of options on their menu from pizza to pasta to calzones. I usually always order a large pizza and some garlic knots when doing a takeout order. My two favorite pizzas are the Brooklyn and Blanca specialty pizzas. Each day of the week they have a daily special that includes a few kids eat free days. Sign up for their email to receive coupons and birthday freebies. NYPD Pizza has a mini bar that serves alcohol and their decor makes you feel like you are in Manhattan. And in case you are wondering ... the Limoncello cake is as good as it sounds! read more

We came in for the "kids eat free" on Saturday deal. With the purchase of a medium or large pizza, you get two free kid's meals--pizza, spaghetti, Mac n cheese, or chicken. Each kid's meal comes with a drink and applesauce or ice cream. The grown ups got tasty pizza and the kids were happy too. We fed a family of 4 for $35--it really doesn't get any better. read more

Great little pizzeria with friendly service. We ordered a medium pizza with cheesecake for dessert, and it was all certainly memorable. We ordered off the kid's menu for the toddler, and they even offered to cut the pizza up into little bite size slices for her which made life a lot easier for us. Her kid's meal came with an ice cream at the end, so we ordered a cheesecake for us. Will definitely be coming back! read more

I have been here many times and everyone is so fabulous and they are so busy. They never have a break. They are constantly busy. They're always cleaning on top of people coming in and out. Their food is fabulous. I love their pizza. I always get Moscato with my pizza And garlic knots and their salads are excellent. They're very social and friendly outgoing even the manager he's something else is great. He has a great sense of humor like Joey and they are so kind and accommodating.. the atmosphere is great. They have nice lighting inside. They have outside seating great music. They have sports TV and they will change the station if you want to whatever sports you like. It's always been clean. The ambience has always been very happy the customers and especially the workers there and I am glad that I am a customer there for years and I will keep coming back. Joey has worked at NYPD for 11 years, knows everything literally!!!! The manager is awesome and kind. Once again, even their pizza is worth it by itself come see them. read more

THIS IS REALLY GOOD NY STYLE PIZZA! I (grew up in NJ) and happened upon the spot bc I was at Nordy Rack looking for a suit. Sit at the bar booth or table. Bar please. 805 on tap. Yes please. Delightful. Two slices of cheese. (I put on parm, garlic powder, oregano, crush red- of which they had ALL readily available, THANKYOU). Totally dope. They use NYC water. It's got perfect amounts of crust sauce and cheese. Chewy and clean. Great to be able to order a couple slices rather than a whole pie, Altho I could eat a whole pie myself. So good! If I lived near here, this would be a go-to for Cher!! This might have enough pull to get me down here again tho. Just found out it's a small PHX chain so tgeee are other locations! This has gradually become a go-to place for us and another couple. Great location, not too far from Chandler Fashion Center mall. We grab a booth, get some drinks (a lemonade, iced tea, and two diet sodas), and look over the menu before ordering the usual - my wife goes for a giant salad and I go for a build-your-own calzone (aka a Frank Sinatra). Our friends usually grab a huge pizza and share it with the table. The service here is always fast and friendly and their booths are individualized with signatures from famous national or local sports players. There are tables with chairs, booths, and a bar area. There is always some kind of sporting event being played on several televisions, but they are limited to the bar area so it keeps the dining area more about the food and who you're with which is nice. The food tastes terrific and there's no pressure to vacate your area quickly like some eateries so it's a great place for birthdays, anniversaries, etc. Already looking forward to my next customized calzone... read more
