Food is usually fantastic here, as are the portions. However, today that was not at all the case. I had to work late and so my wife ordered the Alfredo the Dark as an entree for me and brought it home. In the picture below you see what is maaaaybe 3 bites of pasta. Oreganos is a great spot usually, but also around the ballpark of $40 per person. This is not what a $40 entree should look like, not even close. Been here a lot, not sure where it fell apart for them today..... read more

Oregano's - Bare bones portion - Pizza Near Me - Tempe, Arizona

We ordered the shrimp scampi, pepperoni pizza and antipasto salad via door dash... Stupid pandemic. I view door dash as a necessary evil. The restaurants are trying their best but some food just travels poorly. Shrimp is one of them. I didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised by how lovely the shrimp was cooked! My husband also ordered a side of shrimp as it is one of his food groups and he commented they were the best he's had in a long time. Trust me, that means a lot. Unfortunately, my antipasto salad didn't have any meat on it. I'm sure it was just overlooked but certainly disappointing. It's a crazy world right now and we are blessed to be able to afford take out. Oregano's is a solid choice. Stick together and support everyone around you : ) read more

We've tried lots of things over the years, but the antipasto salad brings us back over and over. It's packed with yumminess, including cheese curds and lots of meat and toppings, and the dressing is soooo good. Deep dish pizza is good as long as they let it bake long enough. Mac and cheese appetizer made the regular way is really rich and gooey. read more

Opting in to the Deep Dish Pizza with the 1 hour wait- DISCLAIMER was definitely the biggest let-down ever. For such an extensive wait, it's fair to assume that you are ordering something made-to-order and done to perfection... Not in this case. For starters, the appropriate description for this failure should be "would you like a doughy crust with your cheese explosion". There was easily over 36 ounces of cheese mixed with uncooked peppers and onions and a small portion of protein tucked under the cheese bed, then tomato paste slathered over the top. My family made the decision to go to dinner because we were hungry. The bar was raised a notch when we opted in to the hour pizza. It was such a bust that 2 bites in, we began brainstorming on how we could put it in our new-wave oven at home and cook it till the doughy crust was done, but would that mean the raw peppers and onions mixed in with the cheese would be done too? Wait a second here, that's why we came out to dinner... for the Oreganos chefs to do that part. Result: Manager confirmed that the pizza was definitely undercooked (as he slipped the spatula under the pizza and played with the floppy crust). He then apologized and offered dessert on the house. The peanut butter cookie topped with ice-cream was a tasty dinner replacement. read more

get the chocolate chip pizza cookie they are soooooo good. And they come with chocolate chips can you believe that! Delicious!

Love Oreganos. Have been to multiple locations and never have a problem! Great food! Great service.

Kayla was our server. She was helpful when asked questions about the menu. It was a busy Friday night, but she still took a few minutes to engage us and our 11 year old in conversation. Although busy, Kayla updated is on food and made sure glasses were kept full. The food was delicious. We ordered calamari appetizer. It was crispy and flavorful. The eggplant was cooked to perfection, thin and crispy in a flavorful sauce. The pesto in uncle Fred's was perfect with the right amount of basil. I can't tell you how much I loved this super flavorful dish. The pine nuts completed the incredible taste. read more

Disclosure I do not see this as an issue for all Oreganos instead problems with just this location Been going to Oreganos for 15+ years now and this location has always been hit or miss. It does seem as they are understaffed and have not been able to handle the covid-19 situation very professionally. Hope their management can meet and get this location back on track quickly. A lot of potential here but they are just missing the mark! I just went a couple of nights ago where I experienced a variety of uncommon situations. They did not have clean dishes which lead our waiter to offer us only 5 salad plates although we had 8 people. We had to wait almost 10 minutes for enough silverware when our salad came out they did not give us any dressing and lastly after waiting an unusually long time for pizza they messed that up. Our waiter was not very present with our table but also it seemed like he was given more tables than he could handle. read more

I cannot tell you how happy I was with my visit. Recently became a vegan and am still navigating the waters at restaurants. So here I am at a pizza joint. What I will say is the server was incredible to work with. Told him my dietary restrictions and he was on it helping me with the menu! Besides having great pizza their salad and sandwich menu are exceptional! If you want really great service, really great food in a really great atmosphere come to Oregano's! read more

Today I stopped by Oreganos and everything was going good until it came time to pay and the server informed me that my card was declined. I logged into my bank app and there was plenty of money in the account and there was no hold on the card. I asked them to run the card again and it still declined the card. I had to have someone drive and bring their card. The debit card worked fine right after I left so there must have been a problem the system at Oreganos No discounts were offered for the inconvenience. I was expecting at least talk to the manager for the inconvenience but got nothing. It wasn't a good experience at all. Really bad customer service. read more

I had an amazing experience at Oregano's in Tempe! The food was delicious, especially the pizza. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. The atmosphere was lively and perfect for a casual night out. Highly recommend! read more

My wife and I visited this location on a recent Monday for a quick pizza and a brew. Codi was amazing and served double duty as the bartender and waiter. The Clark Street meat lovers pie was delicious. We ordered the 18" so we had plenty of leftovers. Love the selection of local craft beers. read more

Top-notch facility. There's a reason why my kids referred to it as the restaurant. I'm not sure what else to say.

Went with a take out order this evening that consisted of one large thing crust with sausage and tomato and two meatball subs. All three were just average for an Oregano's. Doughy bread on the subs, undercooked pizza, it looks like they just threw all this together quickly, without baking everything correctly. My guests were not impressed. Been coming to this location for a long time, let's not drop the ball now and make what I had tonight a standard. I could have went elsewhere for my order and had better. read more

I've only been here a handful of times but every time I do I can expect a great meal. I ordered the Lady is a Scampi and it blew my mind!! Everything about my experience from being greeted, to sat and served was good. The place is quirky, the server was super friendly and knew the menu. My teenage kids were being a fussy waiting for the food to come out, the manager Nick came out with some raw dough for them to play with it made their day!! 10 out of 10! read more

Do you like to be full and satisfied? Do you enjoy huge portions at reasonable prices, knowing that the food is pretty delicious? Well then, Oregano's is an excellent bet to satisfy your craving for Italian-ish food. First off, the music they play at the restaurant is first rate; Bennet, Sinatra, Holiday, Martin, etc. How can you not enjoy your dining experience with those crooners? My wife loves the Vino Bambino Salad and I love stealing some of the tasty shredded chicken off of the salad. We love splitting the cheesy garlic bread as an appetizer and the marinara sauce it comes with is tasty. I gravitate towards the excellent bone-in BBQ wings with a side of delicious ranch dressing and the spicy Italian Sausage Sandwich. Spicy sausage covered in Provolone Cheese....damn, it's a delicious sandwich. And....and...the waffle fries that come with the sandwich are the best waffle fries I've tasted. Yes, there are many, many other items on the menu. Their thin crust pizzas are all excellent, but when you love certain items, it's hard to break the delicious habit. Service is always friendly and we typically go when they open on the weekends, so there are never any crowds at that time. Go there! *Tip 1* They have a full bar! **Tip 2** The weather is now a little chilly. Sit out on the patio for lunch. There's a fireplace, in case you get cold. read more

My wife and I ordered a large Numero One-O pizza. When we picked it up, it was cold and had very little meat on it. In fact, most of the ingredients were in the center of the pizza, leaving about 3" around the outside of the pizza with just sauce and no ingredients around the perimeter. I called the location where I ordered the pizza, at1475 W Elliot Rd, Tempe, AZ 85284, and spoke with Allison, the manager on duty. She graciously offered us a replacement pizza, which was a very professional and courteous gesture, which we truly appreciated, even though it was a hassle for us to replace the inferior-quality pizza. Oregano's is our "go-to" place for outstanding pizza. but if the workers there who make the pizzas can't make a pizza that they themselves would relish and order again, we will have to find another pizza joint when we're in the mood for pizza. read more

I was skeptical about sitting on the patio since it was 111degrees outside, but with the air conditioners and misters it was actually pretty comfortable! We had pizza with was marvelous and made exactly how we wanted! The margaritas were good and the cookie dessert was warm and wonderful. The kids enjoyed some pizza dough to play with during the wait. The service was good, but the wait time for food and drinking was a bit long. There was also a 30 minute wait to sit, but since we opted for outside, we were seated quickly. I would go here again! read more

Not sure why I keep on doing this must be insane trying the same thing over and over again expecting a different result left the dealership helping my buddy by a car starving after being there for 8 hours this is pretty much the only thing open about 9:30 order the salad which their salads are always good thin crust pizza BBQ chicken what is okay like the sauce no flavor the crust no flavor in the cheese which mozzarella doesn't have much but this had none not real crispy which thin crust like this should be since its Chicago style I used to like their hot wings but not sure if they change them or did something they didn't taste very good either and mind you I have not ate in that least 10 hours I was starving and still was not that good maybe I'll learn my lesson this time no more pizza I'll just get the salads read more

Pretty embarrassing when you advertise Chicago stuffed pizza and it's nothing like Chicago pizza. I only grew up and still live in Chicago. This is the thinnest crust I've ever seen on stuffed pizza. Sauce is okay.. not enough ingredients, way too much cheese and the crust isn't even stuffed. Please go relearn what real Chicago stuffed pie pizza is otherwise don't advertise as Chicago. read more

Ordered over the phone and picked up 30 mins later. Wait times here are always a little longer so I usually expect it. I get a simple order with just pasta and pesto. I've had this happen a few times where other stuff that doesn't belong in it has been in there (broccoli, bell pepper, etc.) however this time there was pepperoni. I don't eat meat and I haven't eaten meat in over 20 years. I'm pretty bummed to see something like this would leave the kitchen. They refunded me which was kind but I definitely won't be eating it and it's too late to go back for a new order. read more

Took a break from election madness and stopped in at one of our favorite spots, Oreganos. For whatever reason I had never ordered their wings ...UNTIL TODAY!!! The Italian Gold are exactly that. They were fresh and hot and so very tasty. They have a honey mustard type flavor. I scooped some of the sauce on my salad and it was awesome. Our server "T", was so kind and professional. He was busy but polite and made sure we were taken care of promptly. We also received a visit from Brent, the Manager who was just as friendly. I'm always pleased with something new at this Oreganos. Absolutely horrible service. Server served all of the white people in the area and kept yelling my fiancé and I that she will be right with us. Literally had us waiting for 30 mins then came and brought us waters then said she will be right with us then walked around asking all of the other people if they needed water. Was deliberately going out of her way to avoid serving us. We eventually got up and left. I have never had service this bad before in my life. Never know why someone could treat someone like that while being in the service industry. It's not hard to take someone order. Have always loved the food here and going here but after this one not too sure anymore. I've never gotten up and walked out of a restaurant before. read more

I really wanted to give this place more stars but if I'm gonna pay this much at a minimum don't overlook something. In the pic is a sausage link. WAY OVER DONE. No snap* on it jus a straight chew*. PLUS I came in on a slow Saturday and was handed my dish by the manager. So no darn excuses how that left the kitchen. The pasta was really good and deserved better prep by the grill person. In addition, it was my first time ordering the dish. So I asked which was better, meatball or sausage. The bartender ordered both for me to try. It was on the tix too. It didn't come with the meatball when it arrived. Then I asked about it and an extra charge was placed for the meatball. NOT COOL read more
