I've only been here a handful of times but every time I do I can expect a great meal. I ordered the Lady is a Scampi and it blew my mind!! Everything about my experience from being greeted, to sat and served was good. The place is quirky, the server was super friendly and knew the menu. My teenage kids were being a fussy waiting for the food to come out, the manager Nick came out with some raw dough for them to play with it made their day!! 10 out of 10! read more

My wife and I visited this location on a recent Monday for a quick pizza and a brew. Codi was amazing and served double duty as the bartender and waiter. We ordered the shrimp scampi, pepperoni pizza and antipasto salad via door dash... Stupid pandemic. I view door dash as a necessary evil. The restaurants are trying their best but some food just travels poorly. Shrimp is one of them. I didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised by how lovely the shrimp was cooked! My husband also ordered a side of shrimp as it is one of his food groups and he commented they were the best he's had in a long time. Trust me, that means a lot. Unfortunately, my antipasto salad didn't have any meat on it. I'm sure it was just overlooked but certainly disappointing. Disclosure I do not see this as an issue for all Oreganos instead problems with just this location Been going to Oreganos for 15+ years now and this location has always been hit or miss. It does seem as they are understaffed and have not been able to handle the covid-19 situation very professionally. Hope their management can meet and get this location back on track quickly. A lot of potential here but they are just missing the mark! I just went a couple of nights ago where I experienced a variety of uncommon situations. They did not have clean dishes which lead our waiter to offer us only 5 salad plates although we had 8 people. We had to wait almost 10 minutes for enough silverware when our salad came out they did not give us any dressing and lastly after waiting an unusually long time for pizza they messed that up. Our waiter was not very present with our table but also it seemed like he was given more tables than he could handle. read more

Kayla was our server. She was helpful when asked questions about the menu. It was a busy Friday night, but she still took a few minutes to engage us and our 11 year old in conversation. Although busy, Kayla updated is on food and made sure glasses were kept full. The food was delicious. We ordered calamari appetizer. It was crispy and flavorful. The eggplant was cooked to perfection, thin and crispy in a flavorful sauce. The pesto in uncle Fred's was perfect with the right amount of basil. I cannot tell you how happy I was with my visit. Recently became a vegan and am still navigating the waters at restaurants. So here I am at a pizza joint. What I will say is the server was incredible to work with. Told him my dietary restrictions and he was on it helping me with the menu! Today I stopped by Oreganos and everything was going good until it came time to pay and the server informed me that my card was declined. I logged into my bank app and there was plenty of money in the account and there was no hold on the card. I asked them to run the card again and it still declined the card. I had to have someone drive and bring their card. The debit card worked fine right after I left so there must have been a problem the system at Oreganos No discounts were offered for the inconvenience. I was expecting at least talk to the manager for the inconvenience but got nothing. It wasn't a good experience at all. Really bad customer service. read more

Absolutely horrible service. Server served all of the white people in the area and kept yelling my fiancé and I that she will be right with us. Literally had us waiting for 30 mins then came and brought us waters then said she will be right with us then walked around asking all of the other people if they needed water. Was deliberately going out of her way to avoid serving us. We eventually got up and left. I have never had service this bad before in my life. Never know why someone could treat someone like that while being in the service industry. It's not hard to take someone order. First off, the music they play at the restaurant is first rate; Bennet, Sinatra, Holiday, Martin, etc. How can you not enjoy your dining experience with those crooners? My wife loves the Vino Bambino Salad and I love stealing some of the tasty shredded chicken off of the salad. We love splitting the cheesy garlic bread as an appetizer and the marinara sauce it comes with is tasty. I gravitate towards the excellent bone-in BBQ wings with a side of delicious ranch dressing and the spicy Italian Sausage Sandwich. Spicy sausage covered in Provolone Cheese....damn, it's a delicious sandwich. And....and...the waffle fries that come with the sandwich are the best waffle fries I've tasted. Yes, there are many, many other items on the menu. Their thin crust pizzas are all excellent, but when you love certain items, it's hard to break the delicious habit. Service is always friendly and we typically go when they open on the weekends, so there are never any crowds at that time. Opting in to the Deep Dish Pizza with the 1 hour wait- DISCLAIMER was definitely the biggest let-down ever. For such an extensive wait, it's fair to assume that you are ordering something made-to-order and done to perfection... Not in this case. For starters, the appropriate description for this failure should be "would you like a doughy crust with your cheese explosion". There was easily over 36 ounces of cheese mixed with uncooked peppers and onions and a small portion of protein tucked under the cheese bed, then tomato paste slathered over the top. My family made the decision to go to dinner because we were hungry. The bar was raised a notch when we opted in to the hour pizza. It was such a bust that 2 bites in, we began brainstorming on how we could put it in our new-wave oven at home and cook it till the doughy crust was done, but would that mean the raw peppers and onions mixed in with the cheese would be done too? Wait a second here, that's why we came out to dinner... for the Oreganos chefs to do that part. Result: Manager confirmed that the pizza was definitely undercooked (as he slipped the spatula under the pizza and played with the floppy crust). He then apologized and offered dessert on the house. My wife and I ordered a large Numero One-O pizza. When we picked it up, it was cold and had very little meat on it. In fact, most of the ingredients were in the center of the pizza, leaving about 3" around the outside of the pizza with just sauce and no ingredients around the perimeter. I called the location where I ordered the pizza, at1475 W Elliot Rd, Tempe, AZ 85284, and spoke with Allison, the manager on duty. She graciously offered us a replacement pizza, which was a very professional and courteous gesture, which we truly appreciated, even though it was a hassle for us to replace the inferior-quality pizza. Oregano's is our "go-to" place for outstanding pizza. but if the workers there who make the pizzas can't make a pizza that they themselves would relish and order again, we will have to find another pizza joint when we're in the mood for pizza. read more

I was skeptical about sitting on the patio since it was 111degrees outside, but with the air conditioners and misters it was actually pretty comfortable! We had pizza with was marvelous and made exactly how we wanted! The margaritas were good and the cookie dessert was warm and wonderful. The kids enjoyed some pizza dough to play with during the wait. The service was good, but the wait time for food and drinking was a bit long. There was also a 30 minute wait to sit, but since we opted for outside, we were seated quickly. Huge fan of Oregano's but usually the Mesa location. I just wanted to pass along a shout out for a great job handling a cancelled order that some idiot (yeah...ok, it was me) placed at the wrong store using the app. I'm not sure how I did it but I called to cancel the order immediately. Not only was the order cancelled, I got an email the next morning explaining everything, including the amount to be refunded to my card. Took a break from election madness and stopped in at one of our favorite spots, Oreganos. For whatever reason I had never ordered their wings ...UNTIL TODAY!!! The Italian Gold are exactly that. They were fresh and hot and so very tasty. They have a honey mustard type flavor. I scooped some of the sauce on my salad and it was awesome. Our server "T", was so kind and professional. He was busy but polite and made sure we were taken care of promptly. We also received a visit from Brent, the Manager who was just as friendly. I'm always pleased with something new at this Oreganos.
