My boyfriend and I ordered the thin crust 18" Clark Street pizza and a side of boneless wings with fries. We ordered to-go and the wait was almost an hour! We were told they had a new person making the wings so it was taking longer than usual. When we finally got our food we ate the fries and wings first. The wings were way overdone and the fries were very greasy. But the sauces we got were really good! Too bad the wings didn't go as well. The pizza, however, was really good! The thin crust was crispy and had a great taste. The toppings were all wonderful and went really well with the thin crust. If you go here definitely stick to the pizza and don't bother with the other menu items. read more

Quack! First and last time coming here. When I arrived was told they messed up a pizza and I had to wait 15 more minutes for them to remake. After 15 minutes I got my two pizzas and both were wrong Margarita did not have basil and the combo one had bell peppers when we ordered no peppers. Why make me wait 15 extra minutes for another wrong pizza? I went back in and brought it to the restaurant attention . I found it telling that the manager never once came to address the situation. Just ordered take out due to Covid. Easy ordering and efficient order taker. My husband picked up our order outdoors and said the staff were wearing gloves and masks. We shared one of the Riga Tony meals and a Caesar salad with cheese garlic bread. The sauce on the rigatoni was MUAH! The sauce on the pasta was delicious with a bit of a kick and we both loved it. Good thing we ordered one meal because it was enough for both of us. We are happy we decided to eat yummy Oregano's tonight. I went there today and ordered the cheese chomp with garlic parm as the seasoning... it was okay i wouldn't order it again but im happy i tried it. I honestly thought it was going to be like a mozzarella stick but it was more like a cheese curd... but very hard... on the other hand i got the 12" pan pizza with bacon and let me tell you !!!! it was delicious!! 100% recommend!! I love oreganos food however I do not like paying for food that I specifically did not order. I have two cheat meals a week and I like to enjoy the food that I choose. I have ordered the turkey stuffed and to substitute the turkey for the shredded chicken, I love the whole sandwich but lately I have wanted chicken, I like the bread and all the fixings that they add to it, but when I have ordered in the last 3 times, they mess up my order, so I have called again hoping to get the sandwich I want and no luck, they add this bread that I have told them I don't like, but I keep getting that flat bread that sticks to my teeth. I'll just order from Jersey Mike's, they never get the meat or bread wrong, it's an easier process and I get exactly what I want, they did get the order right once, not today though read more

My husband and I moved 50 miles out of town and when we drive into the Valley, we must stop at Oreganos. We've been to all the locations - and have been fans since the first restaurant opened in Scottsdale- but this one is now closest. The staff is great! On this particular trip, we ran in to get a 2-go order - I love the separate entrance for us. However, I was devastated to learn our favorite salad - the All-Hail Caesar- is no longer on the menu! The staff really worked hard to help find a solution and made some great recommendations. No one makes a better pizza! And the wings - amazing! The food is really great, so we are still loyal fans - but dang, I'm going to miss that salad. read more

Got bollo pasta and I absolutely love it! They have changed their plates to a bowl and I guess the serving size has been changed too! Now you get more food! Maybe that's not true but it seems like it! I usually add chicken or meatball to my pasta and I love either! The best part is I can get a refill bowl to go for free! I've always loved oreganos and would always rave about their food. Pizza (excellent) salads (some of the best). Tonight, not so much. Ordered the Coupe De Ville (chicken parm) to go for a 9:45pm pick up. Needless to say, the cheese was far from melted and the pasta was flat out cold with barely any sauce to accompany the dish. Not to rain on the south Tempe location but overall the quality of multiple oreganos around the valley has greatly decreased over the years. Sweet Home Chicago! If you've never been to Oregano's, the owner was from or lived in Chicago, and brought the infamous Chicago pizza down to Arizona. Chicago is known for their pizza because it is very different from other styles of pizza. Chicago makes the Chicago Deep Dish pizza, which is usually at least 1 inch thick of cheese, ooozzing all over. If you don't like cheese, you're in the wrong place. I'm from Chicago and went to ASU. Back in the 90's it was almost impossible to get Chicago pizza in AZ, until I found the original Oregano's in Scottsdale. Back then they only had 1 location and then opened the Tempe location. Now it seems Oregano's has grown over the years and has a bunch of locations. Really good Chicago food including Chicago beef sandwiches. Must try!!! read more

We rolled into town around 8:00pm and we're hungry after a 12 hour drive. Found Oregano's nearby and decided to give it a try. We used the online waitlist feature, just in case there were really a lot of people waiting. Yelp indicated a 10 min "live" wait. When we arrived they had our "reservation" but we still waited 10 minutes or so to be seated. In fairness, it did appear the place was pretty full. The decor was fun and busy, giving one a lot to look at while waiting. We were finally sat (2 of us) at a huge table for 8. Lots of space to spread out in! We sat for another 10-15 minutes before I flagged a hostess down and asked about a server. No water, drinks or "hi, I'll be right with you." If we weren't so hungry we would've left for being ignored. Finally, Jesica arrived and took our order. She was on top of service once we got her attention. We ordered a "Big salad" and a 14" thin crust pizza with carmalized onions and sausage. Also had a Coors light and house Chianti wine; the drinks came quickly. The salad was huge; enough for 4 people for sure. Nicely done and tasty. The pizza was delivered shortly after and was excellent. Now, I like sauce and this pizza was perfect with just the right amount. The onions and sausage were good, too. Good proportions. The crust is THIN; no idea how they get it so thin and still hold up; I liked it but my wife felt it could've been a little more substantial. All in all, the food and service was great; once we got noticed. Jessica was an awesome server who took time to visit with us and offer tourist recommendations. Better than the local Olive Garden. If you want fast casual Italian dining this is the place for south Phoenix. Foods great. Massive portion on my chicken parm. Garlic bread was still super crispy even though I did takeout and drove it 20 minutes home. Weird thing to shout out but the takeout containers are amazing. This particular location is a big pass for me! The service was so bad. The waiters were fighting with the kitchen because the chef didn't want to believe an order had come back cold and the waiter told him "well then you try it!" There was a fruit fly dead on top of the lemon in my tea it made me feel so sick I wanted to leave so bad but my partner told me to wait and see if it was just a one off, as we love oreganos and never had a problem at other locations. The calamari they gave us came out super soggy and covered in garlic butter, I've never had them come like that but the texture was just wet and mushy. Yuck. The pizza and pasta dishes came out okay, but the whole experience threw us off of this location forever. Try another location, because Oregnos is usually great! Just not this one. read more

They never disappoint. Flavors are good, portions are sharebable and the pizzokie is my go to dessert. I have yet to try a pizza but if their pizza is as good as the Alfredo The Dark pasta dish I am sure I won't be disappointed. This isn't my first time here so I'm not sure why I've never reviewed this place after four years but here it goes. My daughter and I chose this place this time because she wanted pizza. Of course she changed her mind at the last minute and decided on the angel hair pasta from the kids menu. She was perfectly happy with her pasta and root beer. I had an IPA from Tower Station and I like most of their beers. The only minor disappointment was that it took way too long to get my beer and they sent a tiny pint glass. No biggy though because at least it's a good choice of beer to serve. For food I chose the Southwest garlic chicken lasagna because my daughter changed her mind on the pizza. The pizza is really good by the way. This dish takes a little bit to cook so if you are hungry get an appetizer or two beers. It came served in a raised dish so when you cut into it your food doesn't go sliding everywhere like most lasagna so that was a bonus. I was surprised at how good the blending of warm southwest and Italian flavors were with my first bite. According to the menu the dish is made fresh daily and when it's gone it's gone and for once I believed a restaurant. I'm excited to try other menu items. As for the cleanliness and decor I have always been pleased with how well this location is kept. I like the tile floors because they are easily cleaned and it's obvious if they haven't cleaned. My favorite thing is all the red color. There is a strange and subtle mix of Italian and American styles and and nicknacks that keep the eyes busy while waiting for a beer. The place isn't huge and sprawling so the atmosphere is cozy and you feel like you can talk freely. Their is a mix of high tables and booth seat tables. The booth seats are upholstered like the bench seats in an old car or truck which is pretty cool. I like the small bar which is also cozy and friendly. It's strange but this place makes a good Moscow Mule. This place is pretty much always packed and the wait times are often 30-40 minutes but they make good use of Yelp's wait list so use it unless you like hanging out. The most notable thing that I like about this location is that it is consistently good, reliable and family friendly. read more

We were just back from Mexico and had no desire to go home and cook. We headed out to dine at Oregano's. Our waitress was working very hard and so were the others, it was extremely busy. We ordered a couple of appetizers, a skillet of veggies and mushrooms and garlic bread. It took no less than 30 mns to get our orders. Actually we were about to walk out when it finally made it to our table. Meanwhile another table of four left discouraged by the waiting time. My Dark Alfredo and Ron' s pasta bowl and meat balls were then quick to follow. We noticed a 25% off on our check for the inconvenience. My family and I used to be a die hard Oreganos fans, haven't had it in some time so we were really hyped for our to go orders last night. Online ordering was really easy through their website, the pick up time was 35 mins which seemed somewhat reasonable on a Saturday night with the COVID-19 pandemic still happening. Upon arriving in the parking lot I parked and headed up the take out window, that's when things started to get gross, as soon as I walked up I witnessed a busser/bar back removing the trash, one without gloves and with his mask way below his nose. I've spent several years in the service industry and anyone can tell you that's a major health code violation not wearing gloves while removing trash, well and the mask part like come on, the restaurant was beyond packed, wear your mask right man. Okay that was one thing, luckily this gloveless/maskless busser wasn't the one to retrieve my order. Now here's what really ruined our Saturday night dinner, the food quality was atrocious. We ordered a Big Rig Dinner, A Bowlo Pasta with Marinara, and lastly an Italian Zucchini appetizer, by the time we got home (I live 4 mins away) everything was ice cold, the Big Rig was inedible, there was more chopped basil then pasta itself, the chipotle cream was extremely watery, not worth the $10 +, the Zucchini was mushy, cold, and covered in salt. The spaghetti with marinara had no sauce at all, ice cold, and can you guess? Watery as well. Really unimpressed with Oreganos after last night, don't think I'll be back soon, there is plenty of great local Italian spots near by, give them your money and try not to support this Olive Garden like chain. read more

Local chain that does it right. Consistently good, and when you have an issue they fix it immediately. I prefer this location to the one on University for a few reasons. Parking is easy, and tables have a good space around them. They aren't trying to pack in every foot which is nice in Covid times. Great lunch menu with specials. I always enjoy the slice of pizza which is more like two. Had the Caesar salad last week and it was great. We went for dinner Sunday and split a house salad between 3 of us, then their Bollo Pasta that was good. Hubs had Chicken Parmigiano that was very good. They have fresh brewed black and tropical tea, both are good and taste fresh. They also have Club Boom now for a reward program. I do miss the chicken lasagna as it was exceptional. Overall good food, good experience, and fair pricing. Much better than national Italian chain across the street. read more
