I absolutely LOVE this place!!! Went here today for breakfast after church and they were out of the sausage gravy which is our go to. After the initial shock, the waitress suggested two different options chicken biscuit, and CBLT so we each got one! I can tell you we were not disappointed!!! We love open kitchen! The east side is not full of dining experiences that are amazing but open kitchen always does a great food the owners are quite delightful and the chef is trained so he knows what he's doing% . The salads are hearty and the breakfast are delish! It's kind of hard to find so you need to look for the signage and also their hours are a bit funky so call first to make sure that they're open it is definitely worth the trip! read more

I ordered the cinnamon crunch French toast and it was delicious, the bacon is thick and NOT flimsy, and the eggs with cheese had great taste! DELICIOUS!!! I was really impressed with the food from Open Kitchen and will be back soon! I ordered carry out through the website and everything was made to order and they even offered curbside pickup which was so helpful! Toni helped bring my order to the car and was so friendly. We had the honey garlic chicken, chicken sandwich, cheeseburger sliders and the Bass Reeves burger. They were all excellent and I'd order them again! Slightly spicy-Huge portions everything homemade. The place is very small with 2 four tops and 3 or for 2 tops. It took quite a while to get the food but well worth it! Truly a hidden gem. Stopped in with my husband and in laws on a Saturday night for dinner, and had no expectations. Waking in, the space is very unassuming, but don't let that fool you. Every single thing ordered was excellent. I had the Caesar salad with salmon, which was seasoned and cooked perfectly. My family got the smothered chicken and the barbecue chicken, all of which got rave reviews. Everything seasoned and cooked to perfection. I will say that the service was on the slow side but the wait was well worth it. Service was friendly and attentive, too! I'd like to come back to try the breakfast. All right.. at first glance this new restaurant in the University of Indianapolis area does not look like much from the outside. Even on the inside it's pretty bare bones. But I can assure you, give it a chance! First of all, I love supporting a local place and you can tell that the staff here giving all they have to give you a good experience. They are polite and very conscious of what they're doing. And the food was worth both the wait and the price tag. Not that the price tags are out of line with restaurants with the same caliber of food, but when you see the wrapping so to speak the price tags on the food look like maybe a bit high. And the way it was not what you're probably used to. However the food is made from scratch for each order. And we had an array of the menu. My friend had the chicken sandwich her dad had a burger her mom had the salmon dinner, and I had the pork chop dinner. I just can't say enough how delicious it was and piping hot.
