I feel like this would be a fantastic place for regular customers. The servers were super friendly, I heard them celebrating with one customer about some sort of achievement and a cute little homemade sign reserving a certain table for a couple customers. For a first-time customer, it was not as great. We stopped in on a Saturday around 10:30. It wasn't crazy busy, but it did take about 45 minutes to put in our order and get our food. My coffee cup seemed to have lip prints on it at first glance, but I think it may have just been some wear and tear. Either way, I wasn't gonna chance it, so I just flipped the cup around and drank from a different part. The food was just ok. My brother really enjoyed his biscuits and gravy, which I think is one of their more popular items. My mom pointed out that all the toast came dry, without butter. The fried potatoes were the highlight for me. I had added a biscuit and gravy to my order, which I didn't receive. By that point, we were ready to just eat and leave so I didn't ask about it. They do have a daily specials menu which I saw lots of regulars checking out/asking about, so that might be the way to go.

It was so nice to have a home made meal. This gem is popular amount the regulars and was a nice treat for someone outside of the area. The prices are reasonable, the food is delicious and the staff are kind. Try their biscuit and gravy omelet for a real treat!

It is a true greasy spoon diner you know the kind on "Alice" tv show with Flo and her "kiss my grits" saying to Mel. The service was good kinda slow that's only because there's literally like one hostess/waitress it appears but truly friendly and welcoming. Like I said before it reminds me of a diner from one of those 80's television shows! The food reminded me of going to someone's grandmas house and she's says "baby you hongry go fix you a plate"

there was rat poop in my food and bath salts in my drink and natural way from my chair

Amazing breakfast food. They still for their omelettes fried potatoes are done in an iron skillet. That and gravy I've had in Indy. Very, very clean. Sheena was my "friendly waitress " everyone very friendly and welcoming. You have not tried this place you must.!!

We were all thrilled with our food, but this was a winner!!! S'mores pancakes!

Awesome. Great service. Great food. Will be back. My daughter loved her pancakes and I was blown away to find fried potatoes.

They even wrote out a birthday card for me. Wife and I went with the Brie and Oysters for starts. Delicious, but personally the oysters were a bit small but they were delicious. The Brie came with bread and a jam that was a crazy good combo. Dinner was their vegetarian lasagna (favorite dish), duck confit pasta, and their truffle fries. Everything was cooked very well and was so filling we had to bring home leftovers. Awesome restaurant and definitely coming back again!

The main floor dining like a lunch vibe, but it turned out to be a cozy choice. For appetizers, we started with the cornbread after our focaccia was unfortunately not the best. Seemed to be over-proofed. The cornbread was absolutely phenomenal and a must-have! A special shoutout to our waitress, Arya, who noticed our disappointment with the focaccia and generously brought us the cornbread on the house. That kind of service is truly memorable! I also had the beets and peaches salad, which was refreshing but a tad overdressed. Still, I couldn't resist finishing the entire dish. For my main course, I ordered the lasagna, and I can confidently say it was one of the best I've ever had. It wasn't overloaded with cheese and instead complemented by mushrooms and pesto, and surprisingly light on the stomach. My husband chose the filet and rated it an 8/10, saying he thoroughly enjoyed it. We were so full by the end that we skipped dessert. The decor of the restaurant is beautiful, and the staff was incredibly attentive throughout our meal. The only downside was the atmosphere; coming from Chicago, we expected a more bustling vibe on a Thursday night. It seems Indianapolis is a bit quieter during the week. Overall, we had a delightful dining experience, and hats off to Arya for her exceptional service!

I got my order to go but the gentleman who took my order was kind enough to offer me a cup for some water. The spot was happening. Music, good vibes, the decor was fun. I couldn't decide which meal I was trying so I'm definitely going to make another trip sometime soon. I got the tenders with mac but added a side of greens. Boy oh boy the greens were the star and wow my tastebuds were incredibly satisfied. I've had greens but these were like some ultimate flavors and holy greens i definitely could just order some of these every now and again by themselves. Mac was great. Definitely complimented the greens. The tenders though omg. The flavor was insane. I gotta try them with the waffles next time for sure. Overall the wait wasn't long and my food was still hot. I ended up sharing with my son and he was even raving about it. Great service, fun and lit atmosphere, last but not least food was fire. Side note: people complain about price but I'll be honest, when the food is good and staff are amazing, the price to me doesn't matter. You get what you pay for and let's be real, this isn't chic fil a, this is hot boys and the chicken is definitely that.

Located…read moreright in the middle of a residential neighborhood, it's the kind of place where you'll second-guess your GPS until you're at the front door. I visited in January, and "authentic" apparently applies to the temperature, too--it was pretty dang chilly inside, so you might want to keep your coat on while you eat! Breaded Pork Tenderloin (an Indiana classic): This was the star of the show. It's massive and delicious. I paired mine with the Hot Pot Pig, and dipping part of the tenderloin into it was a game changer. I saw some online reviews calling it "life changing"--while I wouldn't go quite that far, it's easily one of the better ones I've had. Just a heads up: it's a heavy meal. You probably shouldn't eat more than one of these a month if you value your heart health! Spicy Buffalo Blue Cheese Chips: These were okay, but honestly not worth it. I'd skip these next time and save the room for something else. The Pie: I didn't have any room left to try a slice, but they looked fantastic behind the counter. Service & Atmosphere The staff here are super friendly and welcoming. Even though it's a modest setup, the service was incredibly fast, and we had our food in no time. It wasn't very busy when we stopped by, which made for a nice, quiet lunch. The Verdict: A great, no-frills spot for a massive tenderloin. Just dress warmly if you're heading there in the winter!
