It is a true greasy spoon diner you know the kind on "Alice" tv show with Flo and her "kiss my grits" saying to Mel. The service was good kinda slow that's only because there's literally like one hostess/waitress it appears but truly friendly and welcoming. Like I said before it reminds me of a diner from one of those 80's television shows! The food reminded me of going to someone's grandmas house and she's says "baby you hongry go fix you a plate"

    B&G real fried potatoes

Amazing breakfast food. They still for their omelettes fried potatoes are done in an iron skillet. That and gravy I've had in Indy. Very, very clean. Sheena was my "friendly waitress " everyone very friendly and welcoming. You have not tried this place you must.!!

We were all thrilled with our food, but this was a winner!!! S'mores pancakes!

Awesome. Great service. Great food. Will be back. My daughter loved her pancakes and I was blown away to find fried potatoes.

I love spicy food. Spent 30 years of my life in TX and NM. Then moved to West TN. So I have had…read moresome Hot Chicken and really spicy food. We ordered three meals. Light, Dark and naked wings. I will start with sides. The greens, better than I ever had including AL, MS, LA and TN. Slaw was classic LA. Good, I am vinger slaw guy. Now for the chicken. First and foremost the medium is no joke HOT. Anyone can make something hot. But the flavor of the hotness is world class. Whatever they do, (brine whatever) the flavor is deep in the meat, including the breast. Absolutely fantastic. My only advice is if you find a raw jalapeno to hot, go one level down in spice. Unless you can set an eat raw Serranos, don't pay .$50 to go spicier. Who would have thought, amazing hot chicken, Indy.

Mixed reviews. Five of us visited. I enjoyed my chicken sandwich at the "mild plus" heat level. The…read moreother four people I was with got "medium" and "medium plus" (they are hot sauce / heat lovers) and they all hated the food. It honestly hurt to see all that chicken go directly into the garbage, but they claim it was inedible. Since it's not a saucy type of flavoring, but a dry rub, they said that the heat was painful, and not flavorful. Back to the sandwich I enjoyed... I felt that there was a sweetness to the flavor that I liked, which I could see not everyone enjoying. There is also a hot dusting over the french fries which exacerbates any discomfort people are having from the heat. There really wasn't anything to cool it down. The macaroni and cheese was piping hot, although not spicy.

If you're looking for the literal definition of a hole-in-the-wall hidden gem, this is it. Located…read moreright in the middle of a residential neighborhood, it's the kind of place where you'll second-guess your GPS until you're at the front door. I visited in January, and "authentic" apparently applies to the temperature, too--it was pretty dang chilly inside, so you might want to keep your coat on while you eat! Breaded Pork Tenderloin (an Indiana classic): This was the star of the show. It's massive and delicious. I paired mine with the Hot Pot Pig, and dipping part of the tenderloin into it was a game changer. I saw some online reviews calling it "life changing"--while I wouldn't go quite that far, it's easily one of the better ones I've had. Just a heads up: it's a heavy meal. You probably shouldn't eat more than one of these a month if you value your heart health! Spicy Buffalo Blue Cheese Chips: These were okay, but honestly not worth it. I'd skip these next time and save the room for something else. The Pie: I didn't have any room left to try a slice, but they looked fantastic behind the counter. Service & Atmosphere The staff here are super friendly and welcoming. Even though it's a modest setup, the service was incredibly fast, and we had our food in no time. It wasn't very busy when we stopped by, which made for a nice, quiet lunch. The Verdict: A great, no-frills spot for a massive tenderloin. Just dress warmly if you're heading there in the winter!
