Kids breakfast with HUGE pancake and French toast. Corned beef hash was very good.

We are just visiting and stopped here with my 5yo twins for breakfast. The portions are very generous and the price reasonable. This place is ADORABLE. Highly recommend!

Found a hidden gem this morning. I've been following on FB for a while and decided to give it a try this morning. Got there about 9:30 and was happy to see no wait. Was approached quickly and sat at a table with cute mismatched chairs. The table had a break down the middle just like my Grams used to have On to the food. The hubs and I still judge breakfast places on their B&G (biscuits and sausage gravy). I ordered the big breakfast (2eggs/2 bacon/hashbrowns/half order of B&G). Order came out perfect (even though I forgot to take pic). Hubs had the veggie omelette and hashbrowns. All the food was really good. Now onto the B&G review... I would definitely put this in the top 5 I've had. Biscuit was good and they don't skimp with the sausage gravy. Had great flavor and didn't need to add salt or pepper. Even though Ginger's was a good 20-25 min from home, this will definitely be in our rotation of our favorite places.

Try the cheeseburger pickle soup!! I got it per the recommendation of a friend and was so happy I tried it!

My wife and I stopped here for breakfast the other day. We really enjoyed our meal. My wife had Ginger's breakfast...eggs, bacon, Hash Browns and biscuits. I had the breakfast sandwich with bacon. The food here tastes like homemade...the eggs, biscuits and Hash Browns were all done right. The atmosphere is "homey" and the staff is very friendly. Ginger's only loses half a star for their coffee...I've had much better.

This was a 10/10 experience and I'll break it down: Atmosphere/decor: beautiful. Love the cool tree with the lanterns hung inside, they have a good amount of outdoor seating as well. Cozy booths and regular table, as well as a bar with comfortable stools (where we sat). Cocktails: we both had a skinny spicy margarita with Fulano tequila (per the bartenders recommendation). It was presented beautifully, and crafted well. Would absolutely recommend- great kick from the spice and tequila, not too sweet, just perfect. Chips & salsa- some of the best we've ever had. I could've just drank the salsa by the glass. Guacamole- not to be redundant but again, some of the best we've ever had. Beautiful presentation, comes with two large tortilla chips, but we ended up using the chips from the salsa for the guac. Just outstanding flavor, very fresh. Dinner: he got the chicken fajitas, it was a very generous portion, well season, cooked to perfection, great flavor, freshly made tortillas. I got the Asada tacos, these were outstanding, not greasy, cooked perfectly, salsa. Verde was delicious and the rice was fluffy and soft and flavorful. Highly recommend both dishes. Great portion sizes, I brought one taco home and he brought a large portion of his fajitas home as well. Service: Our bartender, Ever, was phenomenal. Very personable and kind, makes great cocktails, had great recommendations, attentive, personable, overall just did a wonderful job. I'm telling you, don't sleep on this one, more people need to know about this because this restaurant deserves to be packed. The quality, atmosphere, service, and food were all 10 out of 10.

The service is consistently great, and the food never disappoints. I started with the fried green tomatoes, which are some of the best you'll find in the Indianapolis area--crispy, flavorful, and perfectly done. The biscuits and gravy are a must-order. The biscuits taste freshly made, and you can really tell the restaurant prioritizes high-quality, farm-to-table ingredients. It's easily my go-to recommendation every time I visit. The ambiance is another highlight--intimate, cute, and welcoming. Even when it's busy, it never feels too loud or overwhelming. It's perfect for a casual date, catching up with friends, or even enjoying a solo meal with your laptop. Grindstone is truly a versatile spot that always delivers.

The reason I gave it a 4 star review is because some of the food didn't meant our expectations. We were seated and then no one came to take our drinks order for nearly 20 minutes. We put in our sandwich and soup orders when she came for the drink order because we had already sat there 20 minutes and we didn't want it to be even longer before she came back. 25 minutes later we still did not have our food despite asking about it twice. our server said well I've asked three times back there... I don't know what's taking so long. I said could you please mention maybe to a manager? We were not strident or angry, into this certainly was not our servers's fault but we were extremely disappointed because four tables surrounding us had been seated, served and one of them was finished and we still did not have our food. A manager came and said we're getting your food out just as quick as we can and I stopped her and said ma'am it's too late for as quick as you can because it's been 25 minutes and we've been here 45 minutes. She left the table and in less than two minutes came back with our food, sat in front of us said she was sorry and what else could she do for us and I said I'm not sure how to answer that; we just wanted our food. My friend's egg entrée was completely cold, my sweet potato fries were cold and my friend's soup was lukewarm at best. We waved the manager back and explained that our food was cold and must have been sitting for quite some time. She seemed upset took the food back and said she would get them to fix some more and I said you know I think we're just going to leave now I don't want to wait for more food to be prepared. As we turned to leave she told us to have a nice day but it seemed more in sarcasm rather than sincerity. I also want to point out that the prices have soared since our last visit. I'm not sure when or if we will come back to Rosie's, which is a shame because their bakery items are to die for.

As I was leaving, I surmised it's both. Came in for the doughnuts, left with looking at my calendar and figuring out when I'll be back. Let's start with the doughnuts- shareable if you're willing. I pretended to be willing, but let's face it, we all know better. Picked up a cake doughnut (didn't make it home- damn, SO GOOD.) Light, not overly sweet, and perfect slight crisp on edges.) Had to get a plain 'ol yeast doughnut, you know, just to compare.... it's up there with the best. Cinnamon roll- that one I DID share. Had to. It's huge! Delightful dough, perfect hint of cinnamon & sugar. Could totally plate these for guests at home and they'd think I baked them myself. Wait, if someone's staying at my house the probably know I'm not a baker (too many rules) and will call me on my bluff. :) AND- the maple bacon doughnut. You had me at bacon. Just order it and say "thank you." Couldn't pass up an order of biscuits and gravy. Holy smokes, folks, sausage gravy LOADED with sausage! Seriously- I'm a bit of a B & G specialist (if I say so myself) and this one... THIS ONE is a keeper. Perfect (by perfect, I mean a LOT) amount of sausage, a hint of peppery spice, and that biscuit. SO FLUFFY! Huh- is that where they got their name? I've added a few pictures of their menu, the breakfast and lunch sandwiches look delish. I asked about them ingredients & they mentioned they use Boar Heads meats. I'll be hitting it up for my next northside breakfast or lunch meetings. I loved the bustle of Fluff. Customers seemed to know each other and were very quick to offer up their praises as well. It was difficult to decided what to order, because the customers kept saying "get 1 of everything!" Congrats to Fluff- great town bakery. Felt a little bit like walking into Cheers. Enjoy!

I shared my crispy potatoes with my cousin because they forgot hers (first reason for 4 stars not 5) with the order. My veggie omelette was light and fluffy. I added cheese, which was melted on top instead of being incorporated with the veggies (another reason for 4 stars not 5). The pancakes were good, too...light and fluffy. My cousins enjoyed their meals as well - one of the bowls (Portuguese, I think), steak and eggs, chilequilles. The only complaint was that it wasn't clear while ordering that the meat shown in the photo of the chilequilles was not included, so my cousin was disappointed when it was missing (3rd reason for 4 stars not 5). The udon with mentai cream sauce is decadently satisfying: thick, chewy noodles coated in a velvety, slightly smoky mentai cream that balances savory umami with a gentle oceanic tang. The sauce clings beautifully to each strand, and thoughtful toppings--crisped nori, a scatter of spring onion, and a few pops of ikura or toasted sesame--add textural contrast and bursts of flavor. It's rich without being cloying, comforting yet refined. The bambu bu drink is a refreshing complement.
