Best advice if you're a business owner: Don't use them! To the consumer: Do your homework and don't order from a company who uses this service to deliver your goods! Several of my packages never made it to my front door. One time I watched the driver pull up to the end of my driveway and still deliver to the wrong address. My package actually did arrive on the day it was scheduled to. However, the cardboard box was left in the rain, without being protected at all by a plastic bag or anything, at the open gate at the end of my driveway - in the rain. Why didn't the driver bring it to my house since it was raining? The gate was open, and if UPS's big box truck can fit through there, surely your smaller vans can. OnTrac is the absolute WORST delivery service! Please don't use them for shipping, they just cannot get it right. As a business owner, I get so many packages delivered to my home every day, most of them from UPS, USPS and Amazon. Everyone drops them right on my front porch as they're supposed to. They are not allowed to use the USPS mailboxes as most delivery services know. Also, most packages won't fit. First, my mailbox is about 1/4 mile from my home, which is down a long semi-private road with several other houses, off the main road. Our mailboxes are about 1/4 mile away, on the main road. They get burglarized constantly, so we've all had to get locking mailboxes to keep our mail safe. OnTrac thinks it's ok to just leave packages sitting on top of our mailboxes, way out on the main road! They always get stolen!! I have called and complained and asked them to PLEASE deliver to my house, but they dtill don't. This morning, I tracked a package from them that said it was delivered to th front door last night. I went out front and no package. After looking around, I found it in the wet weeds next to my dirt driveway, in front of my house by the road. WTF! What is WRONG with these people? They couldn't take the 5 extra steps to just leave it at my front door? Instead I have to hunt for it and bring in a soaking wet box this morning. Horrible. Everytime i order something and it's delivered by Ontrac it's marked as delivered. I am home have a ring camera and no packages delivered. In fact my camera can see the street and no ontrac van.. This has happened to me twice in the last four months. Never any other company always ontrac. So either they are stealing the packages or the delivery driver can't read and drops it off at some random address. Of course i do my due diligence walk around my entire complex and look for it. But it's not there. One time the guy marked as delivered and i called dispatch he showed up a couple hours later. It's just absurd. So if you don't call they pocket your package. The Petaluma location is holding on to a package of mine for 3 days with medication that is needed to keep my pet alive. This was suppose to be delivered Wednesday. The reason it is shipped is because it is specialty order and we CANNOT get it anywhere locally. Shipping is our only option. I called OnTrac on Thursday and Friday stressing the importance and was told it would be "flagged as urgent". Called again today, Saturday and advised it would be delivered by the end of the day today, but was also told they don't deliver on the weekend. WTF?! I asked to pick it up at the facility since it is 20 minutes from my house. I was told "they is too much volume there and you cannot pick up". I was also told this was the reason for the delay. Too many packages you can't deliver an EMERGENCY one? I'm currently in the waiting room at the vet emergency room to get this treatment for my animal. Otherwise she would die. This is going to cost me thousands of dollars because they cannot get their stuff together. Filing an issue with the Better Business Buereau (BBB) hopefully to help others in the future. I am always disappointed when companies I buy from use Ontrac as the shipper. The drivers they hire are lazy and unfortunately lack common sense and their customer service is lack luster. How is it that I have to beg the company I purchased from to replace an item when OnTrac failed to deliver to me. They say it was but we are all working form home (most of us) so it should never be an issue of missing packages unless it wasn't delivered to the correct place. Here is my last message to them and I am still waiting. Not to mention the lost some Air Jordan 1s of mine in December. My package was sitting in their warehouse in concord for 3 days. Customer service kept telling me they would talk to the manager of the facility to have it put on a truck. Never happened. Here is the kicker, I ordered something online, that company used OnTrac to get it to me. My order came in 3 different packages. One checked into concord at 303am, the next one checked in at 304am in concord, and the last one at 307am. Two were delivered on DIFFERENT on trac trucks to my house and came at 2 different times. The last package is still sitting in the concord ca wear house 3 days later. IF AVOIDABLE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE HORRIBLE. As on right now my package is lost in the facility since 12/03/19. Horrible delivery service. Horrible customer service. My order was recevied at our local OnTrac location on 7/3/24. Out for delivery on 7/5/24. Returned to the facility because they needed updated information from me. Only way to contact them is through online chat with AI 'bots". Typing "Live Rep" only works part of the time. Confirmed my mailing address was correct as they had listed, package was back out for delivery the next day. Two days later, same thing, need updated information from me. Again contacted them via website to reconfirm the address information. Going through this a third time today (7/11/24). Seemed to get an actual person on the other end of the chat who still couldn't explain the problem. I asked for a manager. Can't be connected to one, have to wait and hope one will call me back. Also, can't go to the facility to pick it up. It's hard to understand how ONTRAC stays in business. They are an alternate delivery service for Amazon here in Occidental. All the alternatives -- USPS and UPS -- deliver reliably. With ONTRAC it's either not delivered or tossed in a field -- we live on a ranch. Most recently, I found they claimed to have delivered to me but actually delivered to an address half a mile away. Our order came from Staples and was delivered to my house this morning. We live in the country on a dirt road. My address is clearly marked with no gates, hard access, dogs, warning signs. We get UPS and Fedex packages regularly. The driver left the package at the end of our drive where he/she saw the address and did not make the simple drive up to the house to drop it off. There are many people who would love to 'pick up' any delivery box at the end of a driveway on a country road and we would never know it was ever delivered. Either the driver was lazy, is new on the job or On Trac has a policy not to complete the delivery and drop the package wherever they see an address. In any of these cases, it is unacceptable. If you want delivery to your door, the actual address on the package, do not use On Trac. read more

[Issue has been resolved... see edit below] I had a very expensive brand new PC being shipped to my house via OnTrac, and I was home all day anxiously waiting for it to show up. The item required a signature, and was listed as "out for delivery" all day today. I never left the house, and I was near the front door all day. Around 7:00PM, I got an absurd email from OnTrac telling me that my item had been delivered at 2:16PM, and it says that the delivery was signed for at the front door. This is complete BS... no one ever knocked on the door, and no one here ever signed for anything. I am absolutely livid about this. This is unbelievably unprofessional and completely unacceptable. To make matters even worse, I actually saw an OnTrac van turn around in my court around 8:30PM, but he didn't stop anywhere. I ran outside as fast as I could, but I couldn't get his attention or catch him. I am driving to the OnTrac shipping facility first thing tomorrow morning to talk to the employees about this in person, since no one answers the phone when I call OnTrac. As of now, based on what I've seen, I can only assume that the driver stole my obviously valuable package and forged my signature. For the record, I have seen the thousands of terrible reviews of OnTrac, and I personally would never use their services. But the company I purchased the PC from chooses to use them for some reason. OnTrac has the worst reviews of any company I have ever seen. OnTrac, you need to fix this IMMEDIATELY. ................... Edit: It is now the next day. I was never able to get anyone from OnTrac on the phone, so I drove to the Petaluma distribution hub in California, and found someone to talk to. The employees I encountered were all very kind, and they were happy to help with the situation. I talked to the PM Operations Manager Kelly H., and she was very helpful and had a great attitude. She was very apologetic about the screw up, and I really appreciated that. This morning, the tracking status said that the package was back on a truck and "out for delivery" at 9:04AM, but when I showed to the hub in person at 9:50AM (they were surprised to see me), I was able to find out that my big expensive package was actually still in the building somewhere... so I was able to sign for it right there and pick it up. Their tracking status is clearly bogus, and they just lie about it or make it up for the website. They gave me some poor excuses about why the driver didn't even attempt to deliver the package and why he decided to forge my signature (isn't that illegal?), and the excuses were clearly not based on any actual facts. But... my package was not stolen or visibly damaged, so I just don't care anymore. I just wanted to take my box home and continue on with my life. Overall, this was BY FAR the most terrible experience I've ever had with any shipping company, and I will completely avoid OnTrac for the rest of my life. I will be advising my friends and family to avoid OnTrac as well. I do truly appreciate the helpful employees who I met at the Petaluma hub though, so I very generously changed the review from 1 star to 2 stars. read more

This company (in our local area) should be called "Off-trac". I have consistently had problems with receiving my packages via this company. Three packages on three occasions never arrived. Recently, I had two items on the same order, but they were shipped separately. Both were sent to the same address. The first one arrived, however, the second package was returned to the sender?? Constant theft of packages. Drivers refuse to read deliver notes don't bring to home but rather leave deliveries on top of our rural route mailbox located about a 1/4 mile, out of site, from our home. This company is the worst shipping company out there. Items arrive at their facilities and sit there for days or weeks, without being sent out for delivery. Their delivery people often leave packages by the curb (in direct sun or rain, and readily available to be stolen) rather than go the few extra steps to leave them on a porch or by the front door.
