I have never had a worse experience. I felt completely lied to. A little back story first. I own and manage a repair store in Windsor. I ordered a part on Friday and paid an additional $30.00 on top of the repair cost, well the customer did to receive the part before 12pm on Monday. On monday my customer drove 2 1/2 hours to get this repair done before having to drive another 2 hours to visit family. My customer arrived at my store at 1pm accpecting the part to be there waiting for them, which it was not. I was already on the phone with FedEx by time they got there, trying to find out when the part was going to arrive, because when I checked tracking it said no service available at this time. After being on hold for about 25 minutes, while apologizing to my upset customer how sorry I was, FedEx told me that because they show in their system my store is closed on Mondays, which it never has been and I just received a package from FedEx that morning for a different part, they decided not to even try delivering the package and the part was at their facility in Petaluma, 1 hour away from where my store is driving there and back. I asked FedEx to deliver my package and informed them that I have never been closed on Monday for the last almost 3 years since the store opened. They said they were not able to deliver the part until the following day and that I could come pick it up. Seeing as how I had a customer pay an additional cost to have this part expedited to receive it that day, they drove 2 1/2 hours to have the repair done on the way to visiting their family, that would not work for them. After practically begging FedEx to bring me the part, I closed down my store to drive to Petaluma, losing 1 hour of business, not to mention the gas that I had to use to get there and back. When I got to this FedEx in Petaluma the lady that I had to wait to come out and greet me, acted like I was a total inconvience to her day and told me that she told FedEx customer service that the package was NOT there, but that it was in a container, whatever that means. After explaining to the lady how important it was that I pick up this package or I would have to involve her management, because of what I have already gone through, as well as If I didn't pick it up I would have to refund my very upset customer. So not only would I not have made any money on the repair, but actually lost money and I waisted my customers time and mine. At this point the lady said she could go check in the back to see if it was there After about 5 minutes she came out of the back area announcing that she had my part. While I was happy she had my part, I felt lied to. She originally told me that the part was not there and now all of sudden she is holding it in her hand. At no point during the conversation with her was she simpathetic or apologetic. Before leaving I asked her to please change In their system so it shows my store is open Mondays, which her reply was it shows here that it has been that way since 2014, which I then informed her my store has not even been open for 3 years. How could it show that in their system if I didn't open until 2018 and have been receiving packages from FedEx almost every Monday since I opened including that day, just not that package? She said that the listing must have been from business before my store was there. After all ws said and done I was treated like I or my problem didn't matter, I was lied to, I lost an hour of business, I lost money for gas I waisted my time and my customers, and worst of all when my customer was supposed to be leaving my store to drive the rest of the way to her family's home no later then 2pm, but because I didn't get back to the store until a little after 4pm and the repair takes about 1 hour to complete, they didn't leave until 5pm. Like I said I have never had a worse experience. read more
