Their menu reminded me of vox kitchen right off the bat. I tried their rib eye garlic noodles and it was okay. The meat was good but the noodles are a bit too salty. It also took me awhile to realize it was the same type of noodles as chow mein. Their popcorn chicken was pretty good. Also, we got a coconut coffee and an ube one. They were alright in my opinion, not a strong coffee flavor. I don't think I would get them again. The service was pretty decent. We didn't get checked on that much by the server and it took awhile for us to get the bill. But overall, the place looked new and clean. read more

We tried omeli today and man. I'm so sad. They have been here over a year and we just found it! Hands down best little spot in the area and will become my new go to. The pho broth was rich and flavorful. They didn't skimp on the meat or the unlimited noodles. The lomo *chefs kiss* perfect, not soggy not chewy and most important not too salty. The tossed beef fried rice, had me second guessing my dish. The beef was melt in your mouth tender, flavorful but not overpowering. Never had to look far to find someone if we needed more napkins or refills (one of the kids knocked over their drink) and when we did need something they were prompt and pleasant. The inside of the resturant gave vibes of a higher end resturant but still very much laid back and a perfect spot for a quick meal. Can't wait to come back read more

I'm so happy to have discovered a great Asian Fusion place in the area. I attended their soft opening and tried 3 dishes. Oxtail fried rice which was delicious with lots of meat. Their filet mignon macaroni dish was full of good umami flavors .... It is a Vietnamese dish like lomo saltado with pasta instead of French Fries. Spicy wontons were a great starter. And their juices and lemonades are all fresh with real fruit. I ordered Guanabana fruit drink 1st time ever trying this fruit... great juice and refreshing ... tasted like a pomelo and lichee combo. I definitely recommend this place and can already tell that I will be a regular here!! read more

In short: Food is 3.5 stars. Service is 2.5 maybe 3 stars. This took the place of Lemon Sole. The flavor and style is similar but has a lot more variation of options. Stopped by around 12:30 pm on a Sunday afternoon. I'd recommend that you put your name on the Yelp waitlist even if it says there's a 5 to 10 minute wait time. It was pretty busy and there was a short wait. I think their soft opening is over since they no longer offer 10% off but their service and organization seems to still be in a soft opening state. The wait staff is courteous but between the owner and the entire staff it seems very disorganized in terms of seating and taking orders. So onto the food. As mentioned they had a lot of options that seemed intriguing. Spicy wonton: the wonton itself was okay, filling was a bit bland and there's no "spicy" to it whatsoever. Cucumber salad was not bad but the sauce is a little too watery and doesn't stick to the cucumber. Calamari: calamari and flavor was good but not worth $11 as there's not enough in the serving. Chicken wings: comes with 8 wings. we opted for lemon pepper but again, it was crispy but very little lemon pepper flavor. Crispy pork belly roll: a little on the small side. Comes with 3 and cut in half for 6 pieces. I couldn't really taste the crispy part but the side sauce for dipping was really good. Beef salad: Best appetizer we tried and it could be an entree in itself. Really good flavor but a couple of the pieces of beef were a little tough. A bit too much dressing though. Shaken beef garlic noodles. Beef was tender but for almost $18, it could use a few more pieces of meat. And a bit too much pepper. Side order of grilled rib eye steak. For $14 not bad and pretty tender but it was a bit over cooked. They don't really give you an option for how you like it cooked (ie medium rare, etc). We asked for MR but it came out more medium to medium well. The drinks: Dejavu lemonade, guanabana fruit tea, lychee peach ice tea. WAY too sweet and WAY too much ice. For $6 you get maybe 4 ounces of actual drink. Hope they can work on their service and logistics. Might be willing to try again if they do. read more

Food: was not expecting much. Their menu is like Vox Kitchen. But the taste is not comparable. The ribeye was tender but garlic noodles were so bland. The green sauce was not good, no kick, tastes bland. Wontons were okay, no shrimp just meat as fillings. The oxtail fried rice was mediocre. Overall, not impressed with the food Drink: order 2 drinks and both were overly sweet. The name made them sound good but they are not Service: sorry to call her out for this but the girl with two hair buns...I have never encountered someone working in restaurants looking this unhappy. Omeli Kitchen was such a great find! They have a bunch of classic Vietnamese dishes with a Peruvian twist added to them! Their portions are enormous, and each dish has its own distinct flavor. Although the restaurant is seemingly busy, the service is excellent and the food came out fast. The interior is very aesthetic, modern, and clean. They also have ample parking space in the area, so parking will never be a struggle if you decide to visit Omeli. For this visit, I tried their Cajun Tiger Prawn Garlic Noodles, Macaroni w/ Filet Mignon, and Spicy Wonton. Overall, my favorite item was the Macaroni w/ Filet Mignon. The macaroni was perfectly al dente and had a nice garlicky flavor to it. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked and extremely tender. It was also paired well with deliciously caramelized tomatoes. Furthermore, the Spicy Wontons were the perfect side dish for my meal. It had just enough kick to it and was a nice contrast to the macaroni due to its subtle vinegary taste. Finally, the Cajun Tiger Prawn Garlic Noodles are perfect for seafood lovers. The prawns were gigantic and the noodles were savory and garlicky, as they should be. The spicy sausage was also a nice touch to the dish! In regards to drinks, I got the Green Thai Tea. This drink was perfect for individuals who prefer something less sweet and more creamy. Overall, I enjoyed my visit to Omeli Kitchen and highly recommend it! read more

This is a good place to reserve for big party. We had a group of 12 people and very easy for booking Food is so so,but takes forever. Not really understand how the beef pho with raw beef takes more than 60 mins to make. so far okay and not great! Great good. Great atmosphere! My daughters boyfriend drove me out to Anaheim to buy a car. This place was near the dealership and showcases my two favorite cuisines - Vietnamese and Peruvian. Omeli is a Peruvian and Vietnamese fusion restaurant located next to csuf. It's the perfect spot if you're craving some Vietnamese or Peruvian food if you can't choose between the two. They serve pho, lomo saltado, garlic noodles, fried rice, and many more. They have so many types of dishes to choose from, I wish we could try it all! Our favorite was definitely the lomo saltado, the shaken beef was so juicy and tender and the fries and vegetables paired so well together and had so much flavor. Every dish was honestly so good. Omeli Kitchen is a hidden gem tucked away in the corner of a strip mall and is definitely worth a visit! They serve a really unique combination of Vietnamese and Peruvian food, and everything we tried there was delicious! Upon arrival, the servers were prompt, kind and very attentive. The inside of the restaurant gave cozy, rustic vibes with a touch of modern. We ordered the chicken wings and spring roll appetizers, and both of them were great! The spring roll was very fresh, and the wings were crispy! For our entrees we ordered the Lomo Saltado and Cajun Tiger Prawn Garlic Noodles. Both of them came with a side of their aji verde sauce, which had a zesty flavor with a tiny kick of spice. My favorite dish was the Cajun Tiger Prawn Garlic Noodles, the prawns were huge and flavorful, and paired really well with the aji verde sauce. The noodles appeared to be stir fried spaghetti noodles, and had an al dente texture. The Lomo Saltado had a nice beefy, savory flavor and balanced really well with the white rice. Our waitress came several times to check on us and the owner of the restaurant even came out to ask how the food was. I can really taste the effort and care put into each of these dishes and I would highly recommend coming here to check out Omeli Kitchen if you happen to be near Fullerton! We had such a great experience here. The service was attentive and helpful. The staff was kind and quick. It's a beautiful space. Not very crowded. We ordered BBQ spring rolls, crispy egg rolls, popcorn chicken, and BBQ vermicelli bowls. All were delicious. I prefer my nuoc cham to be a little bit more sour than sweet but over very tasty. We order two drinks the lychee tea and the ocean drink, both citing peach flavors. They tasted very similar. Very little difference between the two besides color. Will be back for more! read more

Wow! Haven't had such a good meal in a long time. Ordered the Loma Saltado and vermicelli with shrimp and add d egg rolls. Everything tasted amazing. The meat in the Loma Saltado was so tender and high quality. The fries were also crispy and glazed- delicious! The prawns in the vermicelli were huge and well worth it. Egg rolls were also crispy and delicious as well. Also tried the lychee peach tea drink which was refreshing and tasty. Service was quick and everyone was friendly. I was craving Asian noodles and this place really hit the spot for my cravings. I got the stir fried macaroni noodles and that was a hit. It was so flavorful and the beef was so tender. It was a huge portion too so I was full before I could even finish it. I also got the tofu vermicelli noodle which is a wonderful option for vegetarians because it's so tasty and refreshing since it is a cold dish. It has lots of vegetables and the sauce is sweet and salty. My friend recommended this place and I tried today around 3:30. It's in the big complex so its easy to find a parking! I tried lomo saltado and it has bunch of veggies and filet mignon was very tender and the sauce matches the rice perfectly. ( i liked the tomates so much.) Vai tra dao(lychee peach iced tea) is not so sweet and perfect for summer. Its so refreshing. Maybe lychee jellies inside would be spot on to my liking. Seems like they are new restaurant but i think it will be super crowded anytime soon so ill take my friends again! read more

I have been craving solid asian fusion since I moved to down south. I am glad to have found Omeli! The lomo saltado and oxtail fried rice was pure heaven. Heavy on the oxtail fried rice because I still day dream about it. Inside is so nice and aesthetically pleasing. Staff are super kind. The bathroom could use some work though--there was pee in a puddle away from the seat so I let staff know asap. read more

The space is kind of limited and I really wish it had more diners coming through. But as it was it had an okay vibe to it, like you're eating at your local spot that the tourists and gawkers haven't caught up with. I think it's a prime candidate for just bringing a book to allow time for your food to digest after. I think this spot will be a new addition to the local eat rotation, especially after the Fullerton Central Library meet-ups.

Which was so large I thought it was a bell pepper! A mix of shrimp, scallop, squid, mussel & white fish. It's still a fav. Tallarin mariscos- pasta with mixed seafood in a soy sauce based sauce. Off menu and still very good. Lomo saltado- hubby ordered this. Said it was good as usual. Unsure about other comments regarding toughness of meats. Decor has changed a bit. Half wall divides length of restaurant. Possibly to create a sense of intimacy in this one large room. We will still come back. Not for nostalgia but because we still enjoy the food here. There's a possibility previous reviewers have a misconception about restaurant life. Not sure they've notice the price of groceries in general have increased. Most entrees $20 +. Similar to other restaurants. Gone are the days of $12-15 entrees. Realistically need to consider prices of gas too. Cuz foods arrive in trucks. Also finding and keeping good chefs/staff is hella difficult. Hopefully the owners can balance their skills amount three restaurants.

I arrived pretty early, so it wasn't too crowded yet, but after about an hour, it definitely got busier. If you're planning to go, I'd suggest getting there early, hitting the off hours, or hopping on the waitlist online. For this visit, I went with one of my go-to pho orders, the Pho Short Ribs. It did not disappoint. The broth was super flavorful and aromatic, and the rib meat was incredibly tender. It was falling off the bone! They also offer unlimited noodle refills, though honestly, the portion of noodles was already pretty filling. But, it's a great thing to know if you're extra hungry and want more. I did try a bit of some other dishes, but I thought they were just okay. I tried a bit of the Lomo Saltado, and while it was fine, it wasn't as delicious as the pho. The flavors weren't as strong as I expected, so I wasn't as impressed with that dish. I really liked the overall vibe of the place. I'm always on the hunt for a great bún thịt nướng, and Omeli Kitchen absolutely delivered. I was so impressed with my first visit to Omeli Kitchen a few months ago that I knew I had to come back and explore more of their menu! This time around, I tried the Lobster Garlic Noodles. This dish featured tossed lobster with Omeli's house sauce, red onion, bell pepper, jalapeño, and green onion. The garlic flavor was spot on, and the noodles were perfectly soft and flavorful. I also got the Crispy Chicken Wings during this visit. They came out fresh and hot, with a super crispy texture and a punch of garlic, thanks to the special house sauce. These wings were definitely a winner! Of course, I couldn't resist getting the Pho Short Rib again. The tender short rib and that comforting, flavorful broth never disappoint. It's one of those dishes I could enjoy any day, and I was so happy to see it's still as delicious as the first time I tried it. OMELI Kitchen is a true gem in Fullerton! As soon as I walked in, I was taken away by the vibrant lights hanging from the ceiling and the lush greenery decorating the walls. You guys, this place is solid! I am super picky about Vietnamese food and I'm always saying there are no good Vietnamese restaurants in North Orange County. A client of mine recommended Omeli so I decided to give it a try. My go to dish is always vermicelli noodles with pork and egg rolls. And to be honest I always get headaches after I eat Vietnamese food. Not sure if it's from the fish sauce or MSG. But I took one bite of the pork and OMG the flavors were outstanding. Then everything mixed together was just delicious. And no headache. I also tried their guanabana green tea and that was delicious too! I've never had that before and it was perfect sweetness and not as tart as you would think. I would definitely get those two items again. Quickly on the service, everyone was super nice and explained their menu very well. The decor was really cute too. I think I found my Vietnamese restaurant in North Orange County. If I hadn't wanted to try anything else, I could have eaten the entire plate of lobster garlic noodles since I was that fond of them. The tiny lobster chunks had a nice coating of flavor and were crunchy. The noodles retained the taste of garlic well, and they were chewy as well. There was also wonderful beef fried rice in a shake. The steak was tasty even if it was a little rough, and the rice was fluffy and well-seasoned. Since I could have probably cleaned that one myself, I told myself to quit eating it as well. Although I heard that the macaroni filet mignon was a must-order, I only found it to be mediocre at best. The noodles were a little floppy and overdone. Having said that, the meal had a fantastic flavor. We also shared some tofu spring rolls, which were delicious in and of themselves, but the accompanying peanut sauce seemed a little too sweet for my taste. Seen this spot popping up lately and decided to stop by on my birthday this past Sunday with the family. I ordered the Pho combo. I have to say it wasn't my favorite. The water from the noddles watered down the broth so much it lost the flavor I was looking for. I also ordered the garlic noodles and steak... it was lacking a lot of flavor also in my opinion. Wifey got the oxtail pho.. her words were, "I wouldn't order it again." Over all the food was lacking a lot of flavor. Service was fast and attentive. Restaurant felt clean and tidy. The estimate said something like 100 minutes... also no. Half the tables were empty and it looks like there were only 2 people working. The promo actually says dine in AND pickup so I'm not sure if they're busy because of the togo orders because there weren't that many people in the actual restaurant vs the crowd waiting. Like every other table was empty they definitely could've sat people. Oh they didn't have enough workers? WHY NOT! Why wouldn't you staff more people when you heavily marketed this weekend as a discount weekend and therefore should be expecting more people. After the first hour we gave up and ate elsewhere but just for your reference, we only moved up to the 40s by the first hour. And then THREE hours later (5 pm) we remembered like omg we forgot to exit the waitlist huh...but then also realized that we never got a text saying table is ready so we must not be close yet. 3 hours later we were #10 in line. Side note: At the 1 hour mark we asked if we could order togo and they said no, you would have to still wait for your turn on the waitlist (aka to be seated) to order togo. That doesn't make sense because there's SO many people waiting and this list is barely moving (togo or not) so then why is your focus on the outside/3rd party/delivery apps because those must be the orders that you're fulfilling. Poorly managed but to the extent where you wonder if it's intentional, like they wanted the crowd and the hype but didn't really want that many people getting the 50% off deal. It's almost like they wanted you to give up and pay DoorDash full pricing instead (because you're already there) and those delivery orders are the ones you see actually getting prepared vs the people sitting inside. Also, it's not like the people seated were taking forever to eat ok. I want to say people were eating at a normal place no one was camping out wasting time (or at least from what I could tell) but it just took long for the food to get brought out and not all the tables were occupied. So you have empty tables and seated tables with no food. If you're so concerned about the kitchen getting backed up there's definitely ways to stagger seating and not just keep the place empty. It's just a combination of lots of people waiting, lots of empty tables, people sitting at tables aren't getting their food that quickly, focus on togo orders and for the waitlist to be getting cleared at SNAIL SPEED where 3 hours and you're still not seated ... just ridiculous all around.
