Highly recommend! Small hole in the wall but super authentic and very clean! The food tasted amazing and the service was friendly and fast! We had the Camarones Saltado, and Pollo a La Brasa combo with fried rice! It was so flavorful! We took our kids and they enjoyed everything. Plates are large enough to share. Their green salsa was so good and of course we had Inka Cola! Would definitely return and recommend!

Loved our experience! Such a great local spot. The food is packed with flavor and everything tasted so fresh. The cashier/server made us feel welcomed from the start and was super attentive, checking in when we needed extra utensils, napkins, or were ready to order more. Great service really makes a difference. Definitely coming back!

So I've come by Higo Chicken a lot more these days since my coworkers recommended this place and placed an order for me. I wish I could pronounce the things I order from them but my pronunciation is way off and got myself into a bind when the owner thought I wanted two orders of the TALLARIN A LA HUANCAINA 1/2 POLLO but instead I really wanted one order with two dark meats. He was kind of him to not hold me to the second order. I did order the Lomo Saltada with beef and I wanted that cooked medium rare but when I got home it was cooked medium well but it still tasted good and ate it all. I'll have to learn how to order from my coworker next time. There is seating inside this small restaurant but I opt to take out each time. Overall they are a friendly bunch of workers. Parking is sufficient for this tiny place and you can park out on the street if needed.

Togo Tallarin Verde ( vegetarian style ) so much was given . For the price of one ! I ate this dish twice .

OMG ! I tried this for the very first time on Tuesday ! Oh my ! Such amazing taste in the cuisine. The flavors are so delicious and the dish looks very appealing. I definitely recommend trying this hole on the wall. It was recommended and the food didn't disappoint. I had the Tallarin Verde ( with no chicken ) Great vegetarian option . The customer service was good . I will come again soon to try more options on the menu.

The food was good, very good flavors and good portion size dishes. Service was great, fast and very friendly, our waiter was awesome and they were even going to make me a special plate they did not have on the menu if i wanted to wait 20 min , i thanked them it declined. Aji was delicious and the rotisserie chicken was very good. I had the tallarin and it's a thinner noodle than other Peruvian places but good. The ceviche was awesome, and the fish didn't even taste like fish, it melted as you ate. It's a smaller restaurant, very simple and clean and they have a tv with the games playing as well, you're either eating, watching some tv or listening to the awesome bachata they play. Parking is also Tight, very few spots so you may have to park on the side street next to the restaurant.

Bomb.com! Is the sum of this restaurant's quality. This place is a true hole-in-the-wall gem that you only hear about through word of mouth. We've been here twice already, and it has never disappointed. I love the Peruvian seafood ceviche--the seafood is incredibly fresh, the corn is perfectly cooked (not too soft), and the seasoning is just right, without being overly sour. I also got to try their Lomo Saltado, and it's one of the best I've ever had! My boyfriend is Peruvian, and he approves of this place. They use a wok to impart a wonderful smokiness to the beef, and even the onions are perfectly sautéed.

Food: 4* Service: 5* Ambiance: 3* Located in a small strip mall off Whittier blvd, this place serves good Peruvian fare. I ordered papas la huancaina (boiled potatoes covered in a creamy sauce) and lomo saltado (beef salted with French fries, onions, tomatoes). Both were really good. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive

Came back and again impressed by their food. The servers are sooooo nice! They are also always checking and we're so kind. The food is well flavored and great Peruvian for the area. I'd argue better than Mario's and LA institution for Peruvian.

Best Peruvian food I've had in California so far. It really reminded me of my time in Peru. I ordered the arroz verde con pollo and it tasted exactly how I imagined with the soft boiled potato and green sauce the restaurant provides on the side. I can't wait to come back and try some of their other dishes next time.

Higo Chicken is my top favorite, go-to Japanese Peruvian spot in La Habra. You'll find this fantastic restaurant nestled in the far corner of a tiny plaza on 722 E Whittier Blvd. The inside of Higo Chicken holds a handful of tables in a welcoming, simple, pastel colored interior. Equally as pleasant has been the greeting and service of the staff during my visits. FOOD: True to its name, their rotisserie chicken is a headliner on the menu. The chicken skin is beautifully roasted which gives it a bit of smokiness to accent the enticing medley of seasoning. The meat is wonderfully succulent as well. Drizzle on their aji verde sauce (cilantro, garlic, lime, chilies, etc.) to enhance the chicken with a zesty, aromatic heat. You can get a whole, half, or quarter size with a side of your choice. I got their Tallarin Verde con Pollo a la Brasa ($14) - it comes with a quarter chicken piece and a spaghetti with cheese, basil sauce, and spinach. I'm hungry just recalling about it. I appreciate it came with a complimentary Papa a la Huancaina - potato with a spicy cheese sauce. Their Lomo Saltado ($19) is also very solid with thick fries, chunks of steak, and grilled onions & tomatoes. I've taken a couple of friends and have turned them into fans of this place. Definitely give this place a visit!

We ordered some appetizers ( chicken wontons, yucca frita with spicy cheese sauce, and fried plantains. It was delicious. The filling in the wontons is amazing . The only thing I can say about it is they dont serve bread and there are no free refills on the drinks.

Great service and food - so thankful a friend had brought me here. When you arrive, don't be put off by the unsuspecting plaza location. Once you're inside you'll be greeted by the friendly staff and aroma from the kitchen that will have you wanting to come back. Every dish we tried down to their famous chicken was delicious. I was told they also have other restaurants that I will need to try.

I was recommended this restaurant by a relative and they brought us here for dinner on Sunday! They have their own parking lot but there's very limited spaces if it does get busy. Walking in, we were instantly greeted and asked how many were in our party. We were instantly seated but there were quite a few occupied big tables around us. I couldn't catch our waitress's name but she was so attentive and nice to us! She would come ask if we needed refills, napkins, extra utensils, or extra bread and butter. After you order, you get complimentary bread and butter! They also have this green spicy sauce that you can dip your bread in. Between the 8 of us, we ordered 1 soup, 1 appetizer, and 4 main dishes! Everything came out so fast and was so tasty! You can even see the chefs preparing the food through the transparent glass. Food: Lomo Saltado (9/10): I absolutely loved this dish! The only thing I will say is that it was on a little salty for me but that's not something a little water couldn't help with. The beef was cooked so nicely, it was tender and the portioned nicely so it could be chewed with each bite. The grilled onions were for sure my favorite part. The onions soaked in all the sauce but were still crunchy which adds a nice texture to the soggy french fries. The french fries also soaked in all the sauce! There's also a side of rice to help make you more full! Tallarines Salteo de Carne (9/10): This dish was identical to the lomo saltado but instead of french fries, it was noodles! I equally loved this dish since they used the same sauce but with noodles instead! I had no complaints except it was on the saltier side but didn't mind it at all. Everything's the same as my lomo saltado review, perfectly cooked meat and onions! Jalea de Mariscos (9/10): This was our appetizer! It comes with a few fried items (fish fillet, shrimp, and squid). I think there are also Yukon potatoes but I could be mistaking it for another form of potato. The squids are fried in bite sized and they're so easy to eat! It also comes with an onion salsa that's so delicious! The salsa is sour so definitely be careful when dunking your food in there. I believe that this one comes in a half or full size!

Cut up into small piece, it was good tasting just the portion was WEEK at best, a few full pieces of chicken was what i expected from the photos on the site. I also ordered Arroz Chaufa de Pollo, it was good, its hard to mess up fried rice. In addition i ordered Lomo Saltado, it was ok, not as flavorful as i remember it being. I been eating here for over a decade. It changed names a while back if i remember correctly Overall i was disappointed for $60 for the 3 plates. I checked online for the amount it would be $59.27 for the 3 plates, when i tried to call in the order i was quoted 64, i asked why the difference as it should have been cheeper as i had an addition Convenience Fee: $2.49. So i ordered it online. I wanted to pay cash but ened up getting cash back from the CC purchase. The waitress who gave me my order did it with a big smile, That was the best part of the meal.

I would describe this place as that saying "Jack of all trades, master of none". I came with a group and we all ordered a variety of dishes, yet nothing stuck out. For a small space they have 1 waitress who needs better skills, she may be new. I say this because even as she brought out dishes she brought things out in pieces (got my shrimp cocktail, then had to ask for crackers, then had to ask for lemon, then had to ask for salt and pepper). Some points for the food: Talllarin - chicken was dry, pasta good Bandeja paisa - 7/10 arepa dry, no beef or beans Shrimp cocktail - very little shrimp, little to no juice, like a salsa mix in the cocktail Gyoza - good can't mess that up Lomo - eh fries came warm not hot, doesn't look like a traditional sauce The good things about this place: Good little green salsa and they served a good chicha de mora. Would I come back? No. You can definitely find better quality food and cheaper prices at a regular 1 cuisine restaurant. I would like to add presentation was nice on the food but nothing tasted quite right...

Blue and white interior with plants and pictures of Peru landmarks gave off coastal vibes. Our server Lupe was chill and made us feel welcome. The saltados ratio of tomatoes, onions, and rice were minimal to the sauce, and it was salty. The menu is misleading, there are grammatical errors and mistranslation for one of the items, Tallarín Verde Con Camarón. I ordered this reading the description, saying it was "green noodles with spinach pesto and breaded squid," when its actually shrimp with spinach pesto noodles. Prices are a little high for small portions of food they plate. For example, the 8-piece Yucca Frita fries as an appetizer for $8.99 is practically saying each piece is $1. Overall, I give this spot a 3 out of 5 stars because the food was ok and prices were a little high for what they offered.
