I really wanted to like this place. Unfortunately, this place isn't for me. It might cater towards a late night audience since it is open until 1am but I came here for Viet/Peruvian fusion food. It is mostly Vietnamese dominated with sprinkles of Peruvian flavor, and I mean that in the nicest way possible. Most of their menu is traditional Vietnamese dishes with modern pricing and taste. I came here to try their lomo saltado and tbh it is kinda all over the place. The fries, while I appreciated it being crispy, were actually too firm and did not soak up the sauce very well. It might be because it is crinkle cut and not shoestring cut, but regardless, biting into the fries had a thin layer of sauce then potato with no flavor. Speaking of which, I didn't find the green sauce memorable since it was very mellow and lacked some sort of identity. The onions were barely cooked and felt like the fries where they were coated in a thin layer of the sauce, and then crunchy raw onion flavor. The tomatoes and beef were the only pieces that were cooked, and there were a lot more tomato pieces than beef pieces than what I hoped would be the other way around. Everything here was too dry and lacked any softness or variety of texture. The rice...was just white rice. It didn't really matter but the grains were packed really tight and had a really soft texture. It was the only part of the dish that could properly soak the sauce used in the fries. To be honest, I think the sauce (not the green sauce, but that could also be better) could use more seasoning and flavor. It was way too oily and runny. If the sauce was thicker and coated the fries, onions, beef, and tomatoes more this dish would be a hit. Nothing in this dish had sauce flavor except the beef, which probably got its own flavor from it just being beef. Service was OK. I think I only saw the owners of the store working as the servers as they seemed short staffed. It was hard calling them over (sometimes they weren't even present at all in the dining area) but when they noticed they were prompt to arrive. Otherwise, I am really hesitant to visit Omeli again. It is more modernized Vietnamese food and less Asian fusion. Maybe the other menu items are good? read more

2nd time at this location. The first time during December of last year was good. There's nothing to really complain about, but... This 2nd visit was terrible... didn't get any refills of drinks for anyone, and in a party of 5, that's pretty bad. Had to wait an extremely long time for a check. I even had to get up and walk over to the checkout area, and someone eating recognized I wanted to pay and said, "They will come to you!" The place was probably not even halfway full of customers, so was there only 1 person working? Even so, it's pretty bad that no one cared enough to bother checking on our drinks or when we sat there for 20 minutes trying to wave someone down for a bill. I'm only posting this because out of the hour, we sat down 20 minutes or more and was waiting for something when the restaurant was pretty much empty. Probably won't be coming back here for at least a couple years. Hope everyone else has better luck!!! And if you have kids this amount of time is even more ridiculous because lack of water or having to wait longer when they are sleepy or fussy doesn't help AT ALL either. Nice trendy spot in a very unassuming strip mall. Came around lunchtime and it was full but not overly packed. Tried the Lomo Saltado (5/5) and it was delicious, came with a nice and aji sauce, definitely a staple for my return visits. Discovered this place from a friend, i think we will now become regular visitors to this establishment. This relatively new local fusion restaurant combines the bright, bold flavors of Peruvian cuisine with the hearty, savory comforts of Vietnamese soul food - and the results are mouthwatering. What a great little gem I just found in Fullerton. The restaurant is a fusion of Vietnamese and Peruvian food and I'm loving it! The restaurant is located in a neighborhood shopping center with plenty of parking. They have a sweet spot in the corner! When you walk in the restaurant is small but open with plenty of seats. The decor is really pretty and made me feel like I was surrounded by wood and greenery. Everything is very clean and the staff is super friendly and attentive! The food is so fun to eat with its different take on dishes I am so familiar with. I got the Ribeye garlic noodles, the coconut coffee , Lobster noodles , and the wings, and everything was so good!! The steak was cooked to perfection and the noodles were sooo delicious . My family and I were excited to try this Peruvian/Vietnamese fusion restaurant in the OC. Parking was easy and was in a plaza with other shops and restaurants. I loved the interior space - it was trendy, welcoming and clean. Looking at the menu, the food did skew more Vietnamese rather than Peruvian. I did try their Lomo Saltado and enjoyed the flavors of the dish. We also ordered pho and I wished the broth had a bit more flavor. Service was very attentive and they made sure to keep all the hot bowls away from my kids which was nice! Just one note - I wished the restaurant had more hooks or a place to put our purses/bags! The back of the chairs were too round to really hang a purse. I saw a lot of patrons had no choice but to put their bags on the ground. Came to try Omeli Kitchen with the family today because we were in the area. And all the food we ordered was delicious. I especially liked the Garlic Noodles. We ordered lobster noodles this time, but I will try the Tiger Prawns next time because I saw a lot of people ordering that one. The Pho was also really good and they offer unlimited free noodles, so it's like all you can eat Pho for the price of one bowl. My family and I came here for dinner today, and we had an amazing time! First off, we came around 8:15PM, which was a bit near closing time; however, we got seated right away and were greeted very courteously. The waiter was super nice and accommodating. Next, regarding the food, everything was delicious! My family ordered a lot of dishes, so here's our thoughts on each one: Lobster Garlic Noodles - The lobster was cooked very well and there was a lot of it. The spicy butter sauce that came with it was really good. The noodles were cooked very well, not too salty, and the vegetables had a good flavor and texture. My brother thought that the noodles were a bit overcooked though. Shaken Beef Garlic Noodles - Oh my gosh, the beef was truly delicious! The texture and flavor were amazing. Personally, I am picky with my meat, but this was perfect. Definitely recommend ordering this. Grilled Ribeye Steak - Cooked well. Could have a bit more seasoning, but the sauce makes up for it. Lomo/Shrimp Saltado - Soo good! The vegetables again were delicious. But the fries were extraordinary. They were so crispy and scrumptious, perfectly pairing with the sauce. The Lomo was my favorite one because the meat in that really stood out. Thai Tea - Perfect drink to balance out the food! Sauce - I'm not sure what the sauce is called, but it's light green and comes with every dish! I personally loved it and think it pairs well with everything, honestly. I believe it is some sort of avocado sauce, and it's really good. The food came out really fast, again, even though we came near closing time! I was a bit disappointed in the service and the food quality. I don't appreciate being skipped over when I was waiting for 30 mins and have someone sit first when I made a reservation through yelp. And then get my order again last by someone who just sat down. Pho was bland I just taste the herbs vs the beef soup. The shaken salmon rice was too salty. I do like the concept. But too salty. We used to come to this location a long time ago when it was Pho Olivia. We've been looking g for a good vermicelli place since then. I ordered the Lomo Saltado which was excellent. Very flavorful l. We also ordered shrimp vermicelli which was good, but way too spicy. We couldn't finish it. It was still very flavorful, but just too spicy. Our server was very friendly. Wow, is all I can say.
