Passed this during my trips to Kroger. Decided to try this place for breakfast on our way home. Simple ambiance of an old diner. We were seated and were immediately brought menus and waters. Started with coffee while we pursued the expansive menu. Decided on two eggs over easy, sausage, hash browns, and toast. My wife got the same eggs with corned beef hash and grits with cheese. Our orders arrived quickly and everything was perfect. My wife said the grits were creamy and cheesy. Good breakfast and the prices were reasonable. Glad we stopped. read more

We liked this place for years. But this was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had! I understand the 30 min wait for seating on a Memorial Day. But the sh@t show that followed was epic. After waiting 45 minute for our food, (getting our first coffee took 30 mins) I asked our waitress the status of our order. She said the kitchen was backed up any it would be anther 20 minutes before the kitchen could get to our order. My order arrive but my wife's simple order is up next. My meal was cold when hers arrived. The ticket included items we never received/ordered. $2.50 for potato's that never arrived. $4.50 for OJ we didn't order. After pointing this error out to our server, she came back with another ticket...$4 more expensive! She said she didn't include the two decaf coffees. We asked to see the manager and she was less help. She asked when we ordered, our response was 11:30 but the ticket showed the order was placed at 12:15! (That's when I approached our server about the status of our order). Apparently she didn't put in our order until then. No discount for a two hour ordeal from Hell! Avoid this place at all cost!! Brian should run a tighter ship if he wants local business from loyal customers! We're cooking at home from now on! We thought downtown was a mess?!? This was waaaaay worse! read more

I'm not sure why this restaurant has no current reviews but we went for the first time for breakfast and it was very good and the prices were great. portions were huge "grits filled half the platter) egg cooked exactly as ordered I had corned beef hash it was canned which I expected and my husband had sausage. both were cooked (heated) properly. The coffee was fresh and hot in thermal cups which keep it warm the whole meal. The service was very attentive and fast. We would definitely go again! read more

Had breakfast on a Sunday morning, busy and clearly short staffed in a big way... no problem in today's environment to wait a bit more than you would like. One waitress who is phenomenal from prior experience waiting tables for the entire restaurant. I saw our order get put up and then 4 more plates behind it, those were picked up, 6 more put up, those were delivered and then ours. Ours sat there for a solid 10 minutes, food was not even warm.... I think they were not picking it up waiting for the toast, should have paid for the coffee and left. Too bad, have really supported this spot during the tough times, won't be eager to go back. read more

This place is awesome. Breafast is a traditional busy place as you nomally would imagine. And they change to a decent restaurant during dinner. The "stuffed flounder" was just awesome! Don't forget to try their desserts too! read more

Darling little romantic spot at night. Food and service was terrific. The desserts are homemade and look amazing but I was to full to indulge nice addition to the area and very reasonably priced! Seems like they have really great specials and change them up regularly! Ask for Chloe! read more

Two and a half stars. Food and waitstaff were really good (would have been four stars) BUT, Management...not so much. Haven't been back there since a bad experience with the manager, including a rude message. Hope the owner has fixed some of the rough spots by now. Like I wrote in a previous review, the food is good and they made a real effort to transform the daytime breakfast place into a nice place for dinner. I would consider giving them another chance after the current virus lockdown especially if I received an apology from the manager. read more

I went in with my husband and two kids after the kids football game for some good food. When we entered the restaurant, We were not greeted and after being seated for about five minutes no one came over to greet us or take our drink order. Meanwhile, two other couples came in and were immediately served. After waiting a few more minutes without any acknowledgement from any employees, we decided to leave. I'm pretty sure you can guess our skin color. I used to love this place but after this experience, I will never go back...and I'm sure they couldn't care less. read more

3.5. Crowded but fast, good service, decent coffee; just what you need in a breakfast joint. UPDATE: I've been here a half-dozen times since, and the results are in: 2 stars. Over the past several years, their overall quality has taken a nose-dive. Anyone with a griddle and a can of powdered eggs could do as well. On our latest visit, we went in between breakfast and lunch - no serious crowds, so no excuse for slow service. There were a half dozen booths/tables empty, but dirty, with tips still on them. A 12 year old girl (daughter of the owners) was tasked with the responsibility of bussing the tables, and it was clear this was the last place on earth she wanted to be. She never actually wiped down our table, despite seeing we were there. Instead, she rolled her eyes a lot and took pudding cup breaks between tables (I guess there's always time for Jell-O). While the waitress took our order, someone else brought it out. We didn't see her again until she walked past our table, placed the bill on the edge, and kept walking. No chit-chat, no refills of coffee, never took the hint that the creamer cup being placed on the end of the table meant it needed refilling, etc). Additionally, and in relation to the cleanup - there were napkins on the floor, sticky syrup coating the 1. syrup container 2. catsup bottle 3. Tabasco bottle 4. table 5. seat. I will avoid this place for a time. Might try again in a year or so when the wait staff moves on, and the 12 year old matures a little. read more

Why am I a fan? JUST the best, juiciest, BIGGEST homemade hamburger in town! Went there for breakfast a few weeks back with a friend--it was late morning, and as we walked in someone's burger plate was put up on the bar--it looked so damned good I had to try it. Big, toasted, sesame-seed bun with a large, juicy handmade beefy burger, plenty of fresh tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, onions--cut it in half, it's the only way to get it into your mouth--had to be at least half a pound! For less than seven bucks, it's an amazing deal! Comes with loads of crispy fries or you can get chips or coleslaw. I was totally impressed! Went back later with my son--he got the jalapeño burger loaded with Jack cheese and plenty of peppers--he loved it! I had the fried tilapia sandwich--two tasty, delicately fried filets loaded onto a toasted bun, with delicious coleslaw on the side---low price, great flavor--not to be missed! Back AGAIN, with hubby and daughter, for the bacon-mushroom-swiss burger--mouth-wateringly delicious!!! Seriously amazing burgers here, folks! They also serve dinner: meats are $3, each vegie is $1, but no rolls or biscuits, and, for my taste, too many starches and fried items, but the pork chops were big and tasty. The first time I went, I could see my friend's pork chop breakfast looked good, and she loves the breakfasts there--very picky lady, so take her word for it! This is a simple American diner with delicious everyday type dishes at fantastic prices, pleasant waitstaff, clean, well-lit by a big picture window. For me, lunch is their strong suit, but I have been told by good friends that their breakfasts are to-die-for---stay tuned, as I intend to find out later! Ok, here's the dinner update: not bad, not great, but good for the money. No roll or muffin or biscuit and the Texas Toast I ordered was grilled without butter. Out of a couple of menu items at OPENING TIME--not good. My final observation: Skip dinner, go for the MAGNIFICENT BURGERS! or the tasty breakfasts and be glad you were there! read more

This place was not what I expected given the area it's located in. I was immediately uncomfortable walking in here. Gave off a not so clean vibe. The tables were clean but the napkin holders on the tables were dusty. :( They use subpar meats and most items are boxed or canned vs. fresh. I even confirmed this with our waitress. I ordered the Eggs Benedict...the meat was some pressed mess that tasted old and the plate was drenched in hollandaise sauce. The flavor of the sauce wasn't so bad but I couldn't eat the dish because of the pressed "Canadian bacon". It was obvious that I didn't like it but no offer to remove it from my bill. Not a meal worthy of payment. They need Robert Irvine at this place. read more

The service was good, the food was served pretty quickly, but it wasn't good. I ordered a big breakfast, and that consisted of pancakes, grits, hash browns, and scrambled eggs. The food did not have enough seasoning, and my hash browns were pretty greasy. I only took a few bites of each item, and decided to just leave it all on the plate and would go shopping and cook my own meal after I left. read more

This review deals with the "Fine Dining" aspect of the Marshpoint location. We gave it a try recently and were very pleasantly surprised. Although the term "Fine Dining" doesn't quite fit, the space is transformed into a very nice room with appropriate ambiance for dinner. Servers were very efficient (a little too fast bringing courses, actually) and energetic. The menu features a fairly wide variety of approachable entrees and pricing is very fair. Most surprising was the food quality, which was excellent from start to finish. Portions are very large and dinner here turned out to be a pleasant and affordable evening. Don't be discouraged by the Omelette House connection. At night this place is worth your attention. Hope the fine dining concept succeeds; thus far it appears to have found a nice groove. read more

Took my wife here for Valentines. Not the "fanciest", but the effort to make it an upscale looking restaurant was ok! The menu on the other hand, was truly "upscale"! The stuffed salmon? *Chefs kiss*. The manager, Veronica, and her staff are very accommodating and go above and beyond with their customer service. My wife and I are definitely going back. read more

This place needs to be closed due to bad service and poor preparation of the food. We decided to go elsewhere after 10 years because the food comes to your table cold and the service is the worst in Savannah. The last time we ate there we had a young girl who's hair was flying every where (where is the board of health on these issues )? She was very rude and once we received our food she never came back to see if we needed anything else. The owner needs to fix the issue because the food and service will only get worse. I took pictures of my eggs and you can see that they were not cooked enough. I am considering making a complaint to the board of health so maybe they can do something before someone gets sick. read more

Love, love, love the omelettes, hash browns and pancakes (heavenly & huge). Very reasonable prices. Great options for breakfast overall. Just wish they would offer some fresh fruit. The tuna club and burgers are great too. Only reason not 5 stars is the service has really declined. You practically have to get up and fetch it yourself if you want your coffee refilled. Short-staffed, I think. Still wouldn't go anywhere else for breakfast except Sunrise Breakfast in Abercorn Center. (same owners, I believe) read more

DONT EAT HERE!!!!!!!!! My very pregnant wife and I sat for over 15 minutes WITH NO SERVICE until her hunger couldnt take it anymore. The waitress walked passed us to an already eating table TWICE and began a full fledge conversation while never even acknowledging us or taking our drink orders. Maybe we were too black to notice we entered or my wife being Islamically dressed in an all white establishment maybe rubbed some employees wrong. But to never acknowledge us and continue to serve everyone except the 2 black couples seated in the front was UNACCEPTABLE. We walked out and will NEVER RETURN and our community will be told of this negative and neglectful experience. read more

Ignore the "runny egg" post. They use queso cheese in their omelettes, which is delicious. They only thing that's a bit tricky is that you are expected to seat yourself, which is unclear. Otherwise, the service was fast and efficient. read more
