Berry Crumble with ice cream --- sooo good....
Charlene F.

Food was excellent from appetizers, to entrees to desserts. Service was friendly and efficient. It's a small and cozy restaurant with some covered outdoor seating. It was too hot for us to sit outside so joined the indoor crowd. It can get a bit loud but nothing too bad -- a little louder talking helped. Location is a bit tricky (behind the orthodontist office -- pass Truist Bank to get to it on same side of the shopping center as Ace Hardware) but we had scouted it out earlier in the day and made dinner reservations (highly recommend). Everyone enjoyed every bite -- no complaints. Did I mention how great the service was? Serving size was perfect!

Curried crab and shrimp cake sandwich

What a find. Beyond the typical local seafood, bringing in the curry levels up the flavor. Freshly made, the curried shrimp and crabcake sandwich is packed full of crab meat and not fillers. The hush puppies have a good traditional flavor with a little punch of crab. Delicious. Small place. I have a feeling I was lucky to get a seat because I showed up right after they opened. Worth a trip to Wilmington Island to have a meal here.

Vegetable curry

Just fantastic all around. Stopped in closer to close (8:30pm) and the staff was super accommodating of us and even welcome our dog Food and drinks were all fantastic and freshly prepared - the vegetable curry was excellent and a clear highlight, even though everything else was so good! Great service, great ambiance - just a complete gem.

Veggie Curry add Shrimp

I would like to give Lili's another try. I ordered the Vegetable Curry add Shrimp. It was prepared well but it was not flavorful and I was disappointed in my choice. The ambiance was nice and our server was very attentive! The menu offers great variety and I think you just need to know what to order. Brunch may be better for me!

I was staying on Tybee and remembered wanting to check out this restaurant when I was nearby the year before. It was during Covid so we called ahead and made a reservation for the patio. The moment we sat down it started raining. The patio is covered but this was a full on downpour so I was worried we were going to have to cancel our plan, but we were troopers and dealt with lightning and thunder plus a little leak over our table. Honestly, it made for quite a memorable dinner. We started with some wine and the baked brie which is a great appetizer. It's served charcuterie style with nut, berries, salami and more. It's great for sharing and a nice pre-dinner snack. We were both in the mood for steak and the 16oz ribeye was too tough to turn down. You can add fried shrimp or oysters for an upcharge and we both chose to add one of each. There was a lemon aioli we got on the side that was so good. You have to ask for it. All the food was excellent and the service was event better. If you're in the area or on Tybee, this is definitely a place to check out for a nice dinner.

Covered outdoor dining area.

Had a salad with chicken added. Chicken was tough and dry. Felt ignored by the waitress.

The service was good but I wasn't impressed with the food. It wasn't bad, just not very memorable. I'll have to give it a second chance.

Sunday fried chicken in a converted gas station five miles outside Savannah, with oysters that I'm…read morestill thinking about three days later. That's the short version. Here's the longer one. Erica Davis Lowcountry sits on Victory Drive in Thunderbolt -- a town so small it has exactly one square mile of land and a name borrowed from a lightning strike that supposedly split open a freshwater spring on the Wilmington River bluff. The restaurant itself has a similar origin story: a long-shuttered seafood spot called Teeple's, left empty for years, brought back to life by Erica and Dwight Davis with real care. The gaslight sconces out front stayed. So did the bones of the building. The garage doors open when the weather cooperates. We came in late on a Friday, catching the final stretch of their brunch service. Hannah (I believe) was our server -- in training, which you wouldn't have guessed. She steered us well and managed the table (and the room) with a confidence that didn't feel performed. We started with the Barbecue Shrimp and the Oysters Rockefeller. The barbecue shrimp -- Georgia shrimp in a spiced, rich sauce served with toasts -- was good but the one I'd skip on a return visit. The Oysters Rockefeller are the opposite story: roasted, finished with creamed collards and parmesan, and genuinely one of the better bites I've had in recent memory. Order them. My husband had the Wassaw Redfish -- pan-seared over stone-ground grits with garlic beurre blanc and heirloom tomato. Clean, confident cooking. I had the Sunday fried chicken, which delivered exactly what that dish promises when it's done right. Sides of fresh green beans, South Georgia collards, and Erica's Famous Coleslaw held their own across the board. Dessert was the Key Lime Pie, served in a cup that does not prepare you for how good it is. Tart and creamy in the right proportion. We didn't leave any behind. The family's seafood history in Savannah goes back to 1946. You can feel that kind of depth in a kitchen -- not in any one dramatic bite, but in the steadiness of it all.

She expressed that it was her favorite dish and the favorite dish of many customers. The flavors were great, and interesting. The dish had the potential to be an 8/10 or 9/10, but it was so incredibly salty that it was nearly unbearable. The signature dish was a 6/10, maybe, as a result. If it was fine tuned, it could be a great dish. We also had the Fried Green Tomatoes. Very nice. Would order those again. They were delicious. This is a cool spot, and if they dial in their food, it could be epic. Our waitress was a delight also. Really nice service. 3 stars is justified because, in spite of the good things noted, the core element for any restaurant must be their food and if the Shrimp and Grits is their "signature" dish, they should give it the same attention they give other areas that are going well.

It does get busy, so be prepared for a bit of a wait at peak times, and the outdoor seating is pretty straightforward (right along the sidewalk), but don't let that deter you. Once the food hits the table, none of that really matters. The tuna tower appetizer is absolutely the way to start. That said, you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Everything I've had has been flavorful, well-prepared, and clearly made with quality ingredients. And do not skip the drinks, specifically the pear margarita. Get one... or just go ahead and get two. It's that good and pairs perfectly with the seafood. Bottom line: it may not be fancy and it may be a little crowded, but if you care about great seafood and solid drinks, this place is worth becoming a regular

Absolutely incredible lunch today…read more The outside area is huge and most of the spots have shade. We brought our pup and the staff was very quick with the dog bowl full of water which was nice. There were a few dogs and the area is so large that they can be spaced apart from each other. My wife and I got a few apps and the Mac and cheese. Tuna tower was great, loaded with raw tuna, very crispy wanton, just awesome. For the tuna bites I was expecting it to be 5 or 6 but it was at least 15 bites and a decent size salad under it - it could easily be an entree for some. My wife, a big fan of crab cakes in general, said these were the best shes had in Savannah since we moved here 2 years ago - very high praise! The Mac and cheese was ok, perfectly fine but didnt shine like the 3 apps. Cannot wait to come back and try one of their 15+ other seafood items that looked great as well
