We called ahead and got no real acknowledgment, and when we arrived, no one greeted us or even looked our way. We ended up seating ourselves, and still--nothing. No service, no eye contact, no basic hospitality. What made it even more uncomfortable was that we appeared to be the only Black couple in the entire place, and the lack of acknowledgment made us feel completely unwelcome. It honestly felt like stepping back into a time where people were judged and ignored based on how they looked. That's not a feeling anyone should experience anywhere in 2026. We didn't cause a scene--we simply got up and left. But the experience stuck with us. Businesses should be places where everyone feels respected and acknowledged, regardless of who they are.
