This restaurant came recommended by a local colleague. When we sat down for dinner she exclaimed, "I've never had a bad thing to eat here!" I tried the seafood chowder and happy I did. Sometimes chowders can be bland but this one was anything but. Lots of seasoning and spice. My colleague had the chicken piccata, which looked decadent and enough to feed two. I went on a first date with a girl that was very beautiful, but she was an idiot. Beyond her looks there was nothing more below the surface. This restaurant is the same as that girl. It is nothing more than pretty garbage. I went with a few friends for a Sunday dinner and received only the lowest quality experience one can have. The restaurant was deserted (I should have taken this as a sign) there was only one other small group in the entire establishment and it took 15 minutes to even see a server, and the one we received had the personality of a wet potato and the attitude of a starved badger. I had to go to the bar to get our drinks because she never took a drink order, she set the menus down and left. She spoke maybe six words the entire time we were there. The bar drinks were absolute rubbish. The beer was flat and had NO head (I ordered a Guinness) I'm not even sure how this possible. My wife got her signature drink a 'sex on the beach' she uses this as a test to determine the quality of the bartender, and she essentially received a screwdriver with a splash of cranberry juice. When I mentioned the issues to the bartender he said: "Oh, that's too bad, let me know if you need anything else." The food is nothing more than freezer slop thrown in a deep fryer, that's all I'm going to say about it because I'm bored of pointing out all the obvious flaws this place has (there are many). Visually, this place is very pretty, but everything else is god awful. You should only go here to walk in, take a quick look around, say "neat," than turn around and run screaming out the door before you're forced to endure this trash. read more

They need to change the deep fryer oil more often. My wings and fish & chips came out pretty dark and tasted like oil with no seasoning. Everything was bland and under-seasoned. Even the carrots on my wing plate were dried and brown because they obviously came from a big bag of precut. My Boddington's beer was flat. It should have a creamy head like Guinness and came out like a Bush Light at the Red Carpet. They have very "authentic Irish" fish tacos and pasta on the menu. Haha! The best thing there is the whiskey list, they actually have some good selections and the atmosphere is pretty cool. I dig the nooks and crannys to sit around the bar. We couldn't have picked a better restaurant to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary! The food is fresh, delicious, and made to order. Trevor, our server, was friendly and attentive as were the rest of the staff we interacted with. Their calamari was on par with west coast restaurants and was so happy to see that they serve wild caught Alaskan salmon. They have a children's menu that is very reasonably priced. The establishment is located downtown with plenty of parking across the street. Crowded wall to wall, as any new trendy business usually is, we were seated surprisingly quick. I ordered the Seafood Linguini which was tasty. The side salad, broiled potatoes/carrots went quite well with the entree. Prices are moderately expensive, and the service adequate. We stopped here for lunch and were seated right away. It was actually relatively busy for a Tuesday afternoon which I saw as a good sign. I was really impressed with the decor and ambiance right away. It felt like an authentic Irish pub (complete with Irish tunes). Our server was attentive and really personable. We ordered a Strongbow and Blue Moon and received them in a timely manner. The scotch and whiskey menu looked very impressive. I had the Dick Mack's Turkey Burger ($11) and thought it was really good. The apples were cooked enough so they weren't too crunchy or too mushy and the cranberry mayo added a nice flavor. My fiance ordered the Brown Sugar Brick House Burger ($12) and he said it was really good. We were both big fans of the pub fries with Dubliner sauce. We both ate every bite so I would take that as a good sign. Overall, we decided we would definitely try out this place again. Soup- 5/5 the chicken enchilada soup was very rich wi h the perfect amount of spice and had a great amount of chicken. I would definitely get this again. Dinner- 4/5 Shrimp scampi, the shrimp were large and plentiful, the sauce was full of chunky tomatoes. This was a light and fresh meal, if you are looking for a rich pasta this is not for you. I've been here three times now, and each time received less than stellar service. 1st trip (they've been open less than a week, the place is pretty busy): Me: What's your Summit Seasonal (listed on the menu). Waiter: Um... I'll have to check. (That's rookie mistake.) 2nd trip (early evening, not busy at all): Sitting less than five feet from the (beautiful) upstairs bar, but it took 20 minutes to get our WATERS. 3rd trip (early evening, moderately busy): Asked for a few more minutes with our menus because we were waiting for someone else to show up. 20 minutes later I had to ask the bartender to send our server over. Each server was very friendly, but someone needs to give the place pointers on professional service. In each case, the food gets there and it is perfectly cooked, and delicious, making you totally forget about the slow service you just got. I disagree with their interpretation of Shepherd's Pie, which is served like a stew with a lump of mashed potatoes in the middle, but the taste is on point. read more

I visited for a quick dinner with my dad last Sunday. Overall, a pretty good experience. They have some areas to improve on still (seating, staff promptness), but our food was very good! I had the turkey burger with brie and apple slices, and my dad had the fish tacos (not Irish, but who cares!). Our server was friendly, just seemed a bit all over the place at times. Well this was an experience we will never forget We came here for date night. We all wanted to try the new Irish pub in town! We got to the restaurant around six and ended up waiting for about 15 minutes for a table- they don't really have anywhere to wait so we were kind of standing around in the way of everyone. We were then taken to our table upstairs (we were the first table seated upstairs) so we thought it was funny we waited for an empty section!.. anyways, the waiter came over very shortly after and took our drink order. When he brought our drinks we ordered appetizers. We ordered the fried calamari and salmon and artichoke dip. Let me tell you these were both amazing! I would order again in a heartbeat. Then we ordered soups and salads and our entrees. My hubby ordered the corned beef, my friend ordered the meatloaf, her hubby ordered bangers and mashed, and I had the pan seared tuna and a side of sweet potatoe waffle fries. Ok this is where it starts to get crazy! Soups were brought out- my hubs ordered a crock of seafood chowder, not a cup and my friend ordered a cup of French onion. Both came out in cups. We mentioned to waiter and he said he would take care of- we assumed he would bring up a crock. So I tried the seafood chowder- I love clam and/or seafood chowder. There was one (1) piece of seafood in this horrible randition of chowder. It was not good. The French onion soup I tried as well- extremely salty and had one (1) small piece of bread with cheese on top. The crock of soup never showed neither did my friends' hubs salad. So we mentioned to waiter.. he apologized and said he would talk to his manager. The salad finally came out like two mins away from dinner being served. Dinner came out- my fries (which were a 6 dollar add on) no where to be seen- i am not kidding you can't make this night up. Where do I start?.. okay my friends hubs bangers and mashed- good but strange tasting. My friends meatloaf.. this was actually very good. My hubs corned beef and cabbage- so darn salty he could not eat it and we all tried it and almost died of thirst. My tuna was cooked perfectly but the sesame crust was awful. Not a good combo. So the waiter came to ask how things were and I told him I was now missing my fries and I needed his manager at this point. He tried lying to me to tell me the sweet potato fries were a special order and always took longer- ummm no. Don't lie to me just apologize. They are deep fried and obviously your restaurant is screwing up big time tonight on our table. So the fries came- big surprise deep fried and took maybe 4 minutes tops.- with no sauce to dip. There was no ketchup on the table or anything. So I flagged the waiter down and he said (lying again) they are making it - it's on the way! At this point the entire table looked at him and laughed... seriously dude I get you being the waiter are in the middle of it but a simple apology and I'll be right back with it would have been better. Did I mention by the time I got my fries everyone was done eating?.. just in case you can't picture it correctly that should help. So- the waiter brought up a disposable container of cold frosting like substance which did not go with sweet potato fries.. ugh. I didn't even bother asking for a ketchup or BBQ sauce.. I was so over it.. lol. meanwhile the manager came over and I explained our very unpleasant experience and he comped the entire meal and brought me out a slice of cheesecake.. and this is why they got a high three star rating- I didn't pay for any of the ridiculousness. On a good note- I would return for drinks, apps and desserts- I would not spend my money on an entree again. read more

Rarely can I ever give a restaurant in Saint Cloud 5 stars, but this place earned it. I had heard good things from people visiting during opening week last week so we decided to check it out for a friends birthday tonight. They easily sat our table of 8 after a minimal wait, and for being such a new restaurant and a busy Friday night, I was really impressed with the service! Our server was attentive, got all our many drink orders and food correct, and was friendly. This place is huge and there are cool decorations, but also a couple TVs with sports. There are many whiskeys, etc available. They have Guinness on a nitro tap, just like they serve in Ireland. You can taste the difference! Huge didn't menu overall and the prices are a little steep ($7 for a dark and stormy), but delicious. The food was great- most of our table for the fish and chips. You can tell the fish is fresh hand breaded, YUM. And the chips are like steak fries--plus they come with this seasoned sour cream that is divine. One of our friends for the pecan pie for dessert- tasted good but the portion was tiny for the amount it cost. Totally met my craving for delicious comfort food. The hard liquor selection is vast. About 15 drafts on site, but probably variety enough for whatever your taste.
