I used Jules Bistro to cater a wedding shower for my daughter a few weeks ago. All I can say is WOW! Donella went through the menu options with me, made suggestions and was very flexible and helpful. We had some food allergies, a couple vegetarians and ages ranging from 24 to 81. All were very please. Lots of praises from my guests over the options and presentation. Food- Beef Brisket Grill (Wrap) with a side of warm potato salad-(Sliced beef brisket, bbq sauce, guacamole, bell peppers, green onions, bacon, pineapple & cheddar cheese) 10/10 the side was also very good 9/10 Drink - A Bloody Mary with lots of garnish (piece of sausage, two small cubes of cheese, an olive, an pickle) 10/10 Server/Bartender - Isabella - Service was great! I was helped by her right away, and listened to her recommendations for food. I'm happy I did! In between her busy tasks, we were able to have a (at least for me anyways) a pleasant conversation. She checked with me to see how the food was, and consistently made sure I was enjoying my time. 12/10 I would like to add, there was other staff that would ask to see how I was doing. Super thoughtful, professional, and relaxed. Atmosphere is warm and inviting. Most of the atmosphere though comes from the staff. My wrap was delicious. I enjoyed the flavor of the brisket mixed with the veggies and pineapple. It was refreshing. I will be coming back. Over all, 10.25/10. read more

We were flying to Brainerd, MN on a small plane and had to divert to St. Cloud thanks to wildfire smoke (!!) so were stuck here for a bit until we caught a ride the rest of the way. The St. Cloud airport is very nice but small, with no food options on the general aviation side so we borrowed the courtesy car and navigated to Jules for lunch - I'm so glad we did! This place is very cute, service was great, and food was delicious - I had a turkey and cheddar panini on marble rye (yum), my son had a buffalo chicken wrap, my husband had a tuna melt and we all loved our choices. I also got a latte and big sugar cookie to go (morale needed a boost!) and both were excellent. Would definitely recommend this place and would be happy to return if our travels take us through here again! read more

Ok so the owner chimed in on my last review so I came back to see if my experience improved - well not so much . First off my server was obviously new - not terrible , just not as attentive to the guests needs as should be expected. The bartender was in a mood as well ( whatever ) again had a mocha latte and it was again perfect ! I also had the biscuits and gravy which was fine , however when I received my plate I ordered tabasco with it and it came out in a RAMEKIN ! WTF! There is a reason Tabasco has a nipple on the top of the bottle as one doesn't just pour the sauce all over! I think you might want to invest in a little bottle for serving if you're going to buy Tabasco in bulk - bummer! The resturant is still cute and the restroom is super nice read more

Food was amazinggggg!! I am gluten free and the photo is what I had. Meat was juicy, eggs were perfect, fruit was fresh, and the coffee was amazing. A little more expensive than your average joe diner but that's what you expect when you get more quality ingredients. I will be back!! Service was great! Today I tried the Not Your Grandmama's Biscuits and Gravy with eggs over easy. I've been to Jule's multiple times for lunch, but this was my first breakfast experience here, and as usual, Jule's Bistro did not disappoint!! The biscuits were fluffy and delicious, the gravy savory and perfect, the eggs perfect, and served with a side of fruit, but not the typical boring melon and grapes, but rather a delightful assortment of berries, pineapple, kiwi, and grapes. So good!! Highly recommend Jules for any meal. Waitress was great, and the vibe is always cool and vibey , let's make vibey a thing with Jules as the role model. read more

I got the grapefruit espresso tonic and a tuna melt panini and both were excellent! The multigrain bread they use is phenomenal. Everything tasted fresh and waitress mentioned it's all made in house.I don't usually like to have to much bread but ended up eating all of it lol. Small cafe ambiance and friendly staff . Great location downtown. We came early Sunday morning before the rush and had great coffee and breakfast. The fall coffee menu was nice, lattes were delicious. My wife had a classic breakfast while I tried the biscuits and gravy. The sausage gravy was delicious, the biscuit was a great base. A little more dense buttermilk layer and disnt get soggy. Sometimes biscuits are too much fill and this was perfect to enjoy the sausage and gravy. read more

Upon entering, I was swiftly met by a lovely young waitress who offered me either table or bar. I opted for the high-set wooden bar leaning against street-side window pains. Cars passed and pedestrians streamed by, maybe on their way back to work after, hopefully, tasty lunches and a restful break. Jules is a charming little bistro foregrounded on St. Cloud's main street and backed by First and Second Street South, two roads that mitigate the flood of traffic leaving SCSU. Sunlight meets the corner of the building and stops short of "setting the place on fire" with natural light, leaving room for hand-blown chandeliers and warm spotlights to brush Jules with a soft glow. There are drawings, paintings, and intricate bouquets of greenery decorating the walls, complimenting a soft green that breaths through the city's stark browns. Internally, Jules is lively, and a perfect setting to eat, yap, and take a deep breath. I ordered the BBQ Beef Brisket panini with a side of Sweet Chicken sopa, which comes with kettle chips and a spear pickle. The panini wasn't what I expected. Having graduated from Kansas' honorary school of amateur BBQ, I was looking for a rich, peppery flavor from the brisket, complimented by a sauce that leans into either sweet of tangy. What I received was a BBQ sauce panini with chunks of beef brisket shoved in. Safe to say, the panini didn't meat expectations, but the sourdough bread retained its crunchiness without expending its soft inner layer and aged bite - coming very close to mom's homemade loaves. The chips were chips, and my distaste for pickles shielded me from trying this one, but having known pickle-lovers, it looked delightful. Juicy and dusted in leftover kettle chip crumbs, I can imagine it was tasty. My personal favorite from Jules' Bistro was the Sweet Chicken sopa - a delightfully twisted chicken noodle soup served with yet another piece of toasted sourdough bread. The sopa noodles were texturally divine, chewy, flavorful, and easily collected with a spoon. With shredded chicken, peas, carrots, bay leaves, and a hint of tarragon, you can make an exceptional soup. But what makes Jules' Bistro stand out is the usage of Mexican sopa noodles and a touch of lime that adds, not a bite, but a bounce to the stock that keeps the pallet on its toes. It's safe to say - sopa must remain on the Jules' Bistro menu. All-in-all, Jules' Bistro is a commendable addition to the American ring of hand-crafted soul food restaurants, and is worth a step off the interstate. Kind of strange that there is no host/hostess when you walk in. We got there for lunch and it took about 10 min for someone to approach me and ask how many people we had in our party. The menu is pretty robust, and I went with the soup and salad combo. The salad was huge so I was glad I got the 1/2 size. The french onion soup was good. My favorite part of the meal was the artichoke dip with naan bread. They have a kids menu, but the options were not great. Also, $12 for just a small kids entree without any drinks or sides is too much. The decor is modern and cute and I loved the art on the walls. read more

Food was fine, nothing special. Prices were very expensive. I have both a dairy and gluten allergy and to have GF bread was an additional $3 and for vegan cheese it was another $2.50. $5.50 on an already $17 sandwich is kinda crazy. It would have been over $30 for a flatbread with GF and vegan cheese. Our whole meal was just over $60 and that's with only 1 person being GF. All we got was 2 sandwiches and a soup and salad combo. If the food was over the top or was larger portions maybe it would be worth it but this just wasn't. There wasn't a lot of dairy and GF options. And they couldn't substitute things out. So for the teriyaki stir fry they couldn't remove the onions. Also the paper copy menu said smashed avocados but it was actually guacamole. As someone who doesn't like onions that wasn't great either. All in all I won't be back. read more

The food is good for St. Cloud, but it's overpriced and a little pretentious. We came from a large metropolitan area in another state-this restaurant would not have done well there under those circumstances. But, in St. Cloud, with fewer options it gets away with it. read more

Went here on a date. Very cozy and great ambiance. I had made a dinner reservation but there were only a few other people there. It probably wasn't necessary, but it was cute that they had a little name board on our table saving it for us. It was a nice touch. The food was also quite good. We had a pizza to split. They were also very accommodating of a dairy allergy and were able to make an anazing pizza with vegan cheese. The old fashioned I had was also quite good and a generous portion for the price. Overall a 5 star experience. Would love to go back and try other items on the menu. read more

We had been hearing great this about this restaurant for a while and finally got the opportunity to check it out - we were NOT disappointed! My husband had the mocha and the Sweet Potato & Pomegranate Bowl. The mashed sweet potatoes were the perfect texture and paired perfectly with the apple slaw and candied dates - great texture and flavor combination. I did a build your own wrap - it was stuffed with veggies, cheese, and ham, and they pressed the wrap so it was warm and had a perfect crispy texture. Great service, extremely friendly, and great ambiance. One more thing I want to note because to me it speaks to the integrity of the people and place - an older man came in who must be a regular because they knew him by name. He did not appear to have much, may have been homeless, and they welcomed him in, gave him a warm cup of coffee, some bacon, and a cookie. It was very heartwarming to see the compassion! Visited Jules' on our way to Wisconsin. It was a Tuesday afternoon, and we had no problem finding a table. They have an extensive beverage menu including coffees, teas, and adult beverages. The vibe is casual and the food is good! Our party ordered 3 different paninis and the red curry steak wrap. All reported enjoying their food. The kettle chips and house dip are a must! Fresh fruit was a mix of strawberries, pineapple, blueberries and kiwi--not your average "melon mix". The only reason I'm docking a star is due to the price. My mom had the caprese panini (no meat) and it was $17. Definitely check it out. read more

How far would you go for a good carrot cake? Well, I didn't plan to go to St. Cloud for carrot cake but this sweet treat definitely hit the spot. I am sad we didn't get to dine here because they shortened their dining hours and we lost track of time. Maybe we can enjoy their dinner for two when we venture to St. Cloud another time. We rolled up just in time to get two slices right before closing time. The slices were super decadent and generous in size. Plus, I enjoyed the pecans sprinkled all over! After a week visiting in Stearns County, finding mostly fried bar type food, I came across Jules Bistro and I was so thankful to find fresh and unique dishes. Prices were equivalent to other restaurants and quality and service was outstanding. Would definitely go back. If I had one thing to say, (and it's not a negative), the menu was extensive, by adding all the drinks, and I found it difficult to read. Other than that, this restaurant is a gem. read more

Absolutely delicious! My wife and I came here for breakfast while waiting for an unexpected car repair. This was one of the few places that advertised Gluten free options that accommodate an allergy limitation. I had the Steak and egg sandwich on GF bread , and my wife had the Chilaquiles. We both had the masala chai latte. All of the food was amazing and the serving sizes were huge. Nobody went hungry. The restaurant was clean and well decorated as well.
