100% RECOMMEND!!!!!!!! I & 3 others drive Semi OTR...and always like trying places to eat while out away from normal home things in KS!! Was delivering tanks to Centra Sota Cooperative next door to this place... 4 of Us walked over & loved the place! Plenty of TV's to watch things! Clean entry & floors & nice tables! Not run down one bit!! Very bright signage & good parking lot!! They were busy w/only 2 ladies working...One of which was the Lovely Miss Jenelle O!! Such a Sweet Heart...Cute & Funny!! And sum Pretty Eyes w/nice tattoos!! The fried Mushrooms were FANTASTIC...Very light & the breading was like funnel cake delicious!!! Best any of Us have ever had!! Cheese curds were great & the nachos w/chicken were very flavorful!!! The special of broasted chicken came out as fried chicken, but it was also lightly breaded & not fatty/greasy, was actually really good!!! Beers were cold & kept supplied!! Bloody Mary's were Excellent, very tasty & full of goodies!! They came w/a chaser of beer; which We have nvr had bfor!! Added to the Wonderful evening experienced here!! Found this gem while driving the back roads to our destination. We had a salad and bacon cheese burger lunch. Fresh chef salad with an array of green 's and cheese. Many light dressings. Very fresh and tasty with thick Texas toast. Bacon cheese burger had thick cut bacon. Burger was tasty and fresh. The bun is bakery fresh. Our service was supper friendly. Out for a bike ride wanted a destination and picked this lovely small historic town in the country... we needed sustenance... was very impressed with the food and the service.... both our meals were delicious and quick, in spite of the house being full and few servers. ( pandemic shortages I'm sure) its well worth the drive! We will stop again and recommend to everyone! read more

First time there. The ambience was great. The food was really good. The pizza looked homemade as we saw another couple eating it. The bar is beautiful. We came in 20 minutes before closing and they were happy to see us. Other people came in right at closing of the kitchen and five minutes before the kitchen closes and they still were happy to serve them. Highly recommend. read more

I really love this place. The food is great. They batter their own shrimp, onion rings etc.. (yum!!!). If you bring the family for breakfast or lunch you can sit in a separate area away from the main bar. They had games and coloring books for my kids. Did I mention the food was good? Last time we ate there hubby and I had a prime rib special and I was blown away at how delicious everything was. I hope hubby brings us back for mothers day again next year!!! This restaurant/bar in small town Minnesota is family-owned with signature specialties. Ray smokes his own ribs and chicken, makes his own BBQ sauce (so delicious!), bread their own very tasty onion rings and make a killer Bloody Mary, complete with a beef stick. Their burgers are great! And I always hear people talking about the pizza. It's small town atmosphere, with co-ed volleyball all summer and bean bags through the winter. They have meat raffles on Sundays and throw in a band once in a while. We love this place!! read more

Had dinner once again here. Had the walleye. It was just the best walleye I have had since moving to MN long ago. Puts Wis walleye to shame. Very quiet on Tuesday night and with friends we were spoiled by wait staff Mary Rose who is a superb waitress! Also got a chance to chat with Ray who gave us a peek back into the history on the place. We will be back again of course. By the way the salad was chilled and excellent along with the "hot" baked potato and whipped butter. read more

If you don't like your burgers well done and dry, don't go there. After spending no more than 2 minutes looking at the menu, I decided to get a burger (there really wasn't anything good on the menu at all). So I ordered a bacon cheese burger, with cheddar cheese, they don't have cheddar, seems strange to me. I ordered it medium rare, the waitress gave a nasty look on here face and said "I can put in on the ticket, but I don't know if they can do that." I said, why not? Cant they cook things to temperature? "I don't think anyone has ever asked for that before." said the waitress. Well it was well done and dry, disgusting. read more

We went with another couple on a Friday night. We have a goal of trying one new restaurant a month. The sign outside says it's worth the drive. I'm not so sure. The special was a bacon wrapped filet mignon which I ordered medium to medium well, slightly pink. It was shoe leather. Even the bacon! No flavor. It was very disappointing. 2 in our party ordered the prime rib sandwich. They were ok but more bun than burger. Another ordered the smoked chicken and he liked it, very juicy not a sting smoke flavor but good. I had homemade clam chowder soup and that was very tasty. Our service was ok. My glass came with lipstick on it but was quickly exchanged for a clean glass. We enjoyed the acoustics as there were many people there and yet we could visit comfortably at our table. We drove about 40 miles to get to this place and we don't feel we would make the drive again. But if you are close or happen to be in the neighborhood it would be worth a try.
