Nice little spot in St. Cloud. We stopped for lunch as we passed through. The tomato and bacon soup was a good consistency and tasty- a bit smoky but not from the bacon but I think the tomatoes were roasted before making or else they added some liquid smoke. The Strami burger was flavorful and juicy. The wrap was a good ratio of meat to lettuce to wrap. Service was friendly and the place was super clean. The only thing is the pop machine probably needs cleaning because the pop had an odd taste I recognize from having worked at restaurants before. Overall a good place to get some solid food. We got lucky with parking as that is pretty limited on the street. read more

We had a great experience from start to finish. The lady taking our order at the counter had a genuine smile on her face and made us feel so welcome. I must say that while we didn't try them, the cupcakes in the case near the counter looked so good that I thought about them the whole weekend and wished that I had gotten one to go. My mom and I both had gourmet cheesesteak sandwiches with onion rings. The sandwich was filling and tasty. My husband went with the club sandwich and I had a little bit of food envy when I saw it because it looked amazing!!! Bus your own dishes too (unless they aren't busy.) The Gorilla burger was an open faced treat: artisan bread, cheese sauce, perfectly done thick cut smoked bacon, onion, mushrooms. Num! If you know me by now, you recognize this line; "It is a 4.5 star review but Yelp won't let me give that score". With help from other Yelp reviewers we found this great diner while passing through Saint Cloud. Parking is at a premium in the area, but it was worth walking the extra couple blocks. When we got there around lunchtime, it was very busy. However, the staff was courteous and helpful. The restaurant was also very clean. I ordered the fish taco special. The filets were freshly battered and had excellent flavor. The tacos were garnished nicely. The serving size was just right for lunch. The creamy chicken tortilla soup had just the right amount of spice and really worked well with the tacos. My dining partner had a turkey, ham and bacon club sandwich. It was so filling she ate half. She ordered the cottage fries, "Ollie's". While they were different, they were probably the least favorite of the items we ate. She also like her sandwich. Overall, we'd go back. Had a tasty lunch here after a business meeting in St Cloud. Typical counter service where you order, pay and they call your name when your order is ready. My wife had the fish & chips, and I had the cheese steak sandwich. It took close to 20 minutes for our food to be prepared while we watched orders go out for others who ordered after us. I was also little put off when they wouldn't serve us a glass of tap water, but said that we could buy a bottle from them. They have glasses, a sink and ice, but wouldn't give it to us. Prices have increased significantly from earlier menus on yelp, so I added a current one to this review. Overall, good food, slow service, above average prices, especially for St. Cloud. I was torn between 3 or 4 stars, but was generous. read more

We happened to stumble upon Dolsie's as we ventured through St Cloud and of course looking at Yelp. This place was packed at 12:30 on a Saturday. Many families also. We could tell we were at a good pic when the locals flocked here. The tables were all taken, so we joined a group at a large community table. The paint color and decor inside was charming and you could tell they take pride in keeping their restaurant in nice condition. Food: my hubby and I both decided we wanted a hot sandwich... even though so many things sounded good. I got the chicken Philly cheesesteak with provolone (with mushroom and onions) and my hubby got the steak philly with cheese wiz and all the veggies (onion and green peppers). The bread was incredible on these! The meat and flavors were perfect. We couldn't have asked more from a little cafe. Also, the Oli's (fried potatoes with cheese) were great! Btw... there was a line when we walked in and we waited about 15-20 minutes for our food. Worth the wait. If in a hurry, maybe visit during not peak hours?? My family and I were passing through St. Cloud and stopped at Dolsie's for lunch and we're sure glad we did. We ordered philly cheesesteaks, a pastrami sandwich and fish tacos. Everything we had was delicious. We ordered a popover to start with and wish we had gotten more. It was the perfect balance of soft and moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. The cinnamon butter accompanied the popover perfectly. The service was awesome especially the owner and son who were so friendly and kind. This wonderful eatery is owned by a husband and wife duo located in the middle of downtown Saint Cloud! This place is always packed every time that I've gone and it's only open until 230pm...definitely rush hour for lunch time. So happy to see that they are supported by the local community heading there for their delicious food! You can taste the love that they poured into the meals and cupcakes. I opt for their special of the day soup: Cheddar broccoli with cauliflower. I wanted to try their Canadian Walleye sandwich that I've seen from another table so I ordered that and their popover. Any place that has popovers gets a thumbs up from me! The soup was delicious...homemade creamy with tiny chucks of broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. Nothing too salty and just right! The Canadian walleye had an awesome thin crunchy breading and just fresh flaky fish. I wish they had that as an entree instead of a sandwich with the bread because it was amazing. Good size portion for the sandwich. I ended up dipping my sandwich bread into the soup because I wanted to savor the fish without the bread. Love the soft inside of the popover with their honey butter...I think there's a hint of cinnamon on the butter. My husband got the fish and chips (their famous Olie...cottage fries with cheese sauce) and a popover. He enjoyed the pieces of cod with the light breading. Again the fish have the right seasoning on the breading...light and full of crunch! The cottage fries are great with the cheese sauce and a side of coleslaw. Overall...this place serves delicious meals cooked with love and care from the owners. We didn't have room for dessert this time but order their mouth watering cupcakes. Delicious food, I tried the chili cheese dog and the chicken fingers. The homemade chili was very tasty and complimented the bacon very well, all on a pretzel bun which only made it better!
