My first time here with my fiancé and the ambiance was nice! Not too crowded or busy for a Saturday afternoon! Ordered the Bear Creek pasta which was really cheesy and had big chicken pieces in it! The elote corn was by far my favorite! Really sweet and delicious! Will go back for the corn and try something new too! read more

Sorry no pics this time. Ate with some guests. Did want to reach over everyone to get pics. We shared the platter for two. There was thee of us so we ordered an extra side of meat. Chicken was rotisserie so it was moist and good. BBQ Brisket was dry but had a a good smoke taste. BBQ was also dry but a little BBQ sauce helped that. The best part of the meal was the sides. Sides were 4 star. Cornbread was outstanding. With honey butter it was like eating a cinnamon roll. Beans were spicy and good. Coleslaw was tasty. So it was a good belly filler. Will try again hopefully meats will be better. Now the service was outstanding standing. She did an amazing job. Entertaining with quick service. Restaurant was clean but needed up dated. Now go get you some. read more

My wife and I drove up to St. Cloud from the Cities and decided to stop in for lunch. We ordered the wood smoked platter for her and I went with the spicy rotisserie chicken sandwich. For our starter we tried the firecracker shrimp. The shrimp were decent, a little on the sweeter side, and the cornbread ended up being gooey in the middle which threw it off for us. The spicy rotisserie chicken sandwich actually had good flavor but because they put it on a regular bun it didn't hold up at all. The liquid from the chicken soaked right through and the whole thing kept falling apart so it was hard to enjoy. Service was okay, nothing bad but nothing that stood out either. Overall we weren't really impressed with the experience. Might try something different next time we are in the area. read more

Hit this place up for lunch on a Friday. We were seated quickly, plenty of parking and everything was clean. The environment is warm and friendly. The staff were very nice and very accommodating, even asked about splitting our bills before the waiter took our order and we had a decent sized group. The waiter was fairly quick on the drinks but, the place was dead. I had asked for a lemon with my water, which never showed, and for the wild rice soup and got French fries, so that was disappointing. But, the fries were pretty tasty and so was the chicken ranch wrap so I can't complain there. Was very tasty and decently priced. Overall I'd be back. Maybe next time I can get exactly what I asked for when I show up with less people. With how good the food was and how friendly the staff were, I just didn't really care to bother him about that stuff at the time and certainly won't affect if I return. read more

The prices were reasonable and the food tasted great. I do, however, think the wild rice soup recipe needs some fine tuning. read more

Of the Grizzly genres, the wood-fired locations are in my opinion the best. Their wood-smoked wings are probably my favorite in the state. I don't know what it is about their buffalo sauce, but I can't get enough. There are several other worthwhile choices on the menu. If they get the cooking time right on their cheese curds, they can be fantastic. Too little and they're undercooked rubber, too much and the cheese has seeped out, and you get just the rusk of the batter...which they aren't shy about sending out to you regardless. Their spicy chicken sandwich and their pastas are reliable. And of course they have free snacks with popcorn and peanuts if you're there to have cocktails. Daily happy hour and specials are also welcomed, but modest in price reductions. The staff at this location are friendly and attentive as well, which helps for a nice experience. For a chain restaurant, Grizzly's is nice and worth a visit. For their wings, it's a must. read more

Food was lacking. Steak was not grilled as order, plus mushrooms were cold. Walleye tacos were skimpy on fish, and lacked seasoning. Chicken had to be sent back - noticeably underdone. Mashed potatoes looked like they had been under heat lamp too long. Disappointing food. Wild rice soup and salad were good. The staff were friendly and efficient. Restaurant was comfortable. read more

It was my first and a first date all in one. Beautiful day out with a nice bright sun, sunburn to be coming soon. The service was outstanding. Everyone was so very friendly. The Bloody Mary's were very good. Maybe a little to good. Looking forward to my next visit. read more

Started with fried cheese curds of course. Fantastic. Great batter served with both marinara and ranch. A gooey delight. Ribs were flavorful and the pasta had a good hint of Parmesan cheese. Staff was working hard. Servers were friendly and helpful, and flying around to keep everyone satisfied during even rush. Good place read more

Soooo disappointed. Drove 30 miles round trip with friends because We received two emails last week promoting national mojito day... $1 mojitos all day! Yeh right. Bait and switch. They wouldn't honor this coupon because supposedly they meant to say $1 off mojitos. So only $6! Good mgt would've honored the coupon and kept their customers happy. Came here 2 nights in a row because it was so good. The atmosphere is great. Wait staff was on the spot!

My mother and I visited this place on her birthday before our movie. We were going to do a lunch, but then decided on a light lunch because of the time. We knew we were having a potluck after the movie to celebrate. We decided to share a Quesadilla, and a cup of Chicken Wild Rice Soup. The food was good and the quesadilla had a really nice kick to it. The waitress was nice, but not the most attentive. We wanted to order, and she wasn't around when it was time, she took longer then normal to bring us our drinks, and they were only waters. When it was time to pay and get a box for the rest of our food, she did one thing at a time, and even then, we had to flag down another waitress to find our waitress. Kind of a sad experience. However, my mother enjoys this place, so I will go here for her, especially on her birthday. I would try it again, definitely. Like I said the food was good, just not pleased with the service. read more

Friendly host and waitress, fast service and such delicious chicken! Love their fresh salads

After Grizzly's recent renovation, my beloved and I decided to try it again. The place was very busy, so service was slower than expected. Our waitress, though, did a decent job and was friendly. We just had to wait to have our waters refilled and for requests. I had a steak and chicken combo. Their wood-fired chicken is what they're known for. You can see them cooking above the fire as you walk into the restaurant. Whatever you order, be sure it has chicken with it. You'll love the smoky, tender tasting chicken. I sure did. The steak was good, not great, but tasty. I was disappointed with the cheesy hashbrown recipe that they serve. That was my side. I also had a side starter salad with mixed greens, goat cheese, cranberries, and pepitos. It wasn't my favorite. My beloved had a chicken avocado and bacon sandwich with cheese curds. Their cheese curds are excellent. They're bursting with cheese. They reminded me of the curds served by Boulder Tap House. They're large cubes. I would get these again. I would definitely return to Grizzly's, but would probably order something else next time. read more

We had the walleye and ribs and both were phenomenal, even as take out! The fries were crispy, the seasoned sour cream was great and had a tiny bit of spice, and the tarter sauce was the best I've ever had. Not to mention the bartender was super friendly too! Would definitely go back. read more

If you want a good steak and bread with your meal then this is NOT you place. You would be better off at Texas Roadhouse across the street and a better price. We came here in 2018 and again recently on 2-23-22. We found their food average and somewhat disappointing. I got the burnt ends and did not like how they smothered them in cheese sauce. My wife got the steak which was tough. I doubt we will be back again. read more

We were told the service was bad here, but decided to give it a try anyways. Boy are we sure glad we did. We came for lunch, our waitress was so friendly, asked where we were from and really took the time to talk to us. As being out of state, she recommended food options, which were all very good. We got the quesadilla for an appetizer which is now a new favorite. I then got the Nashville Hot chicken Mac and cheese. Also very good. I was over all very pleased! I wish I could remember our waitress's name so I could give her a shout out! Grizzly's is now a personal favorite in St. Cloud. Can't wait to go back! read more

Love the food, the service and the atmosphere! Love all the salads, salmon, and cheese curds!

Went here because our first choice was packed :( I thought Grizzly's was known for their wild rice soup so I tried it. I love wild rice soup but this was gross. It was like a purred potato soup with wild rice in it. I would never get this again. The beer can chili however was pretty good. The wild rice stuffed mushrooms were a delight to the palate and tasted fresh and clean to the palate. The cheese curds were big honking blocks of cheddar and came with dipping sauces. They resemble the original pick tonight that was packed. So these were a hit. The black and bleu burger was good too along with the fries. The waitress was nice and friendly. She disappeared for a long while at the end while waiting for the bill but other than that it was good. Not great but good as expected for a chain restaurant. read more

Grizzly's is a personal favourite. It certainly beats both Texas Roadhouse and IHOP, both of which are in the same parking lot! Although when you go there later at night, they close off the dining room and have you eat in the bar area, the food and service are still beyond compare. Of course, the rotisserie chicken is an absolute must; they're famous for it and I had enough for leftovers, but I forgot to bring my grab box home. As sad as that was, I got to enjoy the rest of the amazing food, including their delectable chicken and wild rice soup. Mmm mmm mmm! The customer service is fantastic. They always check up on you and make sure that your drinks are full and that all your needs are being met. You never feel like you're unwanted or that you are just staying too long. This is one of the best restaurants in the Saint Cloud area. You absolutely cannot go wrong! I will be back many times. read more

Been a year, I never thought of posting this review, but my friend had the same experience recently and I don't think I want to just let it go this time. Welcome to grizzly's wood-fired grill with awesome steak, burgers and sides of racism. Wanted to try somewhere new, and decided to come in to grizzly's. The waiter came over to us and asked us for an id, which I gladly provided my driver license. After a few minute she came to ask us for a second form of id, and when I asked why, here's what she got to say: oh yeah, our manager is kinda picky, we don't usually allow your kind here. Save yourself some time and go to Texas Roadhouse right next to it. read more

A-OK. Tonight's visit was pretty tasty. Had the pulled pork sandwich with fried pickles - would definitely try that again. I tried the cheesy hashbrowns for the first time, wouldn't say I'd go there again. The outside was fairly burnt, the inside tasted like some sort of canned cream soup was an ingredient. You aren't my mom, Grizzly's, you can't get away with cream of mushroom soup! Service was great tonight. In the past there've been times when waitstaff was less than attentive, as though they were hanging with their buddies and we were not welcome. read more

Good food, nice service and a really fun trivia game that was playing when we went.

Terrible service over lunch today. Watched one table walk out, another table get their food and ask for silverware because they had none...didn't get any so they walked up by the bar and got their own. Waited forever to get served, after sitting at a dirty table. Waited forever for our food, never got drinks refilled, waited forever for our tab, then waited another 10-15 minutes for server to come get the bill. read more

Grizzly's reminded me of a chain restaurant, but 1) a good chain and 2) I've never heard of it before. I had a steak with some steamed veggies. The steak was a perfect medium (which was indeed what I had requested). I couldn't really tell the difference between this stone fired steak and an ordinary grill/seared steak somewhere else, which is a bit of a bummer since I've seen the beautiful things a stone fire grill can do to a chicken. The veggies, like all steakhouse veggies, tasted like they were literally boiled in butter. Gotta treat yourself occasionally, right?! It came with a salad, which was the standard side salad. I got their honey lime vinaigrette. You'd do well to avoid this dressing. I think it was literally just honey with some lime juice. Very syrupy and sickly sweet. Service was great and the menu was affordable. I would definitely return, but it probably wouldn't be my go-to. read more
