Welcome to the first stop of my Distillery Passport series! Obbink was an unexpected surprised located in a somewhat industrial spot of St. Joseph. With family living near by I thought this would be a great location to begin my journey. As you pull up the spot looks quaint with a metal barn exterior and a large yard and tented patio. Walking in it felt very industrial chic, with wood and black metal interior design. The bartender was absolutely fabulous, we had great conversation and she was able to help my brother and I select a few cocktails that we could be interested based on our preferred pallets. The distillery has a main cocktail menu along with a seasonal menu with approximately 6-8 specialty drinks. My first choice 2.5/5 Rover Club - consisting of gin, egg white, raspberry, and lemon. The initial taste was nice, however the sweet of the raspberry and the sour of the lemon almost seemed to neutralize the drink leaving me wanting a bit more flavor. My brother's first selection 3.5/5 Golden Hands - consisting of whiskey, egg yolk, cinnamon, and lemon. I'm not a huge cinnamon fan like he is, however this had a nice consistency and could make a great drink for those looking for something outside of the box. My second choice 4.5/5 Aurora Haze - consisting of Aurora gin, grapefruit, and lemon. Their "grapefruit martini". This cocktail was right up my alley! The drink was slightly Tarte with a sweeter finish and the presentation was beautiful! I am a sucker for purple gins. Would most definitely return for this cocktail. My brother's second selection 4/5 French Toast - ingredients unknown. It was very creamy with a nice touch of cinnamon. It gave me the impression of drinking the leftover milk in your Cinnamon Toast Crunch bowl. This cocktail was my brother's favorite of the night. Overall this was a nice experience! Even though my first drink wasn't particularly my cup of tea, my last cocktail made me feel better about their selections! My brother also really enjoy his two cocktails. If you're looking for a new cocktail spot to try out, visit Obbink's!

5 stars all the way with Obbink. Let me start with the only two negatives I have. The time to get a drink can be quite slow, but that's only because they're intricate cocktails. When it's busy this can cause quite a bit of congestion inside, which is fairly small and compact. However, these are pretty tiny details in an otherwise fantastic experience. The main highlight is the drinks themselves. They have an extensive menu of regular offerings as well the spirits themselves. They offer mocktails as well, so there will be something for everybody here. They have a forte ring seasonal menu that is always a pleasure to check out. The service is second to none, and the staff are always open to chatting or offering suggestions. Sam behind the counter was awesome to work with! There is a smaller parking lot on the north side of the building, otherwise street parking on the south side across from the Holiday station. Anybody who lives in Central MN or is passing through should be making a stop here!

I'm so excited that Obbink decided to open in St. Joe! What a great asset to the community. The owner is a former NASA engineer who became interested in whiskey and decided to open a distillery upon retirement. This space is truly an experience and, in addition to several other local businesses, makes St. Joe a great destination. We were excited to try all 3 whiskeys on tap (they were all great - Alexis was my favorite), and look forward to having options for ordering flights in the future. Despite being a big whiskey fan, I ordered a gin cocktail because it sounded so interesting, little did I know it came with edible glitter?! How fun! There are so many great cocktails on the menu, you'll have a tough time deciding, so trust the staff. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful and excited to talk about the process of creating so many of the cocktail ingredients, including liqueurs, right on site! If you haven't been yet, make it a point to visit before the end of summer so that you can enjoy the outdoor space. You won't be disappointed.

We only had pop and water so cannot comment on the food but there seemed to be lots of good options. I know there were comments about that the seating is too flat but I wonder if that also allows them to avoid any steps in the main section. We sat all the way in the back on the "inside" of the most outside section. Great seats and view was excellent. I was also very impressed with how clean everything was. We saw Jason Mraz and he did not disappoint. I truly want to find another concert so I can return again soon. I cannot comment on parking as I think we lucked out getting there not much before show start and got last row parking. We left as they started the encore so had zero issue getting out. I would imagine, however, if 4000 people leave at once it could be a bit of a mess. I would encourage anyone who sees a show they might enjoy to check it out. For us, I want to bring a larger group and sit up on the "deck" area in the back. That looks like a great place to enjoy a show.

And it decided to rain which they couldn't help ofcourse but they wouldn't let me bring an umbrella in even just to get to my seat. Their list of things you can not bring in is longer than anything I've ever seen. Probably won't be going back to this venue.

There was a good amount of mushroom and Swiss which made it yummy. The onion rings were crispy and even more delicious dipped into the side sauce. I ordered that and my girlfriend got the chicken tenders and fries meal. My pizza was phenomenal! I have had A LOT of pizza in my life.. and this was some of the best I've ever had. I didn't plan on eating the whole thing but it was too good not to! Very nice crisp on the crust and every bite was filled with flavor for your mouth! Definitely a 5 all day out of 5! My girlfriend enjoyed her chicken tenders very much, they were delicious and cooked to perfection by the cooks! The fries were seasoned with just the right amount of salt & pepper. Definitely would recommend these for you tender lovers out there. We were done with our meal and our server asked if we would like dessert, and we said why not! We ordered the ice cream sundae, it was very good! Definitely big enough to share and very yummy! If you want a nice date with your loved one or just want to grab a quick bite to get you right for the night, this is the place for you! Awesome customer service and food!
