Their ranch was delicious especially with the sweet potato fries and would definitely recommend asking for a side of ranch. I rarely, I mean very rarely, give 5 stars so this means something to me. We were on the road and staying at a nearby hotel so even though the reviews were good, we were not expecting RJ's to be the gem that it turned out to be. The location is not conducive to thinking top notch food and service just because of all the big rigs and being on the corner of a strip center. But boy were we pleasantly surprised. The server was very on top of things and personable as well. The crispy Walleye was absolutely perfect and a large enough portion to share for two senior citizens. The green beans were fresh and cooked perfectly. And the atmosphere inside was nothing at all like what you would expect from looking at the area. We were driving through and picked RJ's on a whim and were we surprised! The staff is friendly and accommodating. The menu is full of great food. The Cabo burger - I really wanted to love this but it had no flavor. Couldn't even find the sauce that was advertised. Probably my favorite part of the meal was the coleslaw that came with the fish - mounded on the tiniest dishes so when I ate it, it fell all over the table. This is St. Cloud, not the north loop. Overall we're satisfied with our meal ! We ordered for pick up and it was done fairly quickly. My girls got buttered noodles and Mac and cheese. I felt the portion was more toddler sized than kids size. But they said it tasted good. My son enjoyed the grilled chicken. My husband said the Korean beef tacos were good. We just stumbled across this place as we were staying in a nearby hotel that was walking distance. Nice decor, clean and good ambience. It would be a good place for a date night. We had a party of six, which can be challenging some times, but our server was a pro and did a very good job. The food was delicious and large portions. Jalapeño won tons a touch crisp but nice flavor, nice sauce and came out hot; a nice app. Fish tacos were ok, despise fried fish, but was hot and nice sized, too much coleslaw on them. Scraped about half off, added fresh pico (from the nachos) and made a nice fish taco. Bourbon burger was very well done, but messy. Fries just average. Prices were average, large clean modern room. This was my first visit to RJ's. The atmosphere inside does not match to atmosphere outside. The decor would be at home in most metro entertainment areas. The jazz playing on the sound system was a nice touch of class. I had the Walleye plate and just like the other reviewer's experience with this dish, it was outstanding. We were there with 6 people this past Thursday night . We had never been there and learned about your place on Yelp. Four of the six of us ordered the walleye, per our waiter's suggestion, since our waiter told me the walleye was rated well in MN. We LOVED it ! It was the best walleye I've ever had at a restaurant! Well for starters there wasn't any wait, I was greeted by Brittney and she turned out to be a real treat. She gave my seating options and I decided to eat at the bar. I was working so I didn't get to see how great of a mixologist she was. However, she was very attentive and very patient with me since this was my first time. She helped me decide what I wanted to order and made sure my order was right. She was very outgoing and had a bubbly personality. I will definitely return back to this establishment because the Cesar Salad was great and Brittney made my visit very enjoyable. It's really hard to find a good pork chop well RJ's has a great bourbon pork chop. Perfectly cook and perfectly seasoned. I do recommend the red skinned mashed potatoes to accompany the chop. The wife got the shrimp peach pizza it was spicy and delicious. Great service also. read more

We have been to this place a few times since we live close by. It's a basic pub. I like the seperate dinning area for conversation. The booths could use new coverings or a good clean up. WOW. We tried this restaurant on a suggestion, and it was impeccable! We arrived around 5pm for happy hour & an early dinner for the Mister's birthday. My Rum/Diets were fantastic at $4.50 on HH. I ordered the Bourbon Burger and the hubs ordered the NY Strip. Both were delivered in amazing portions (see pics). The burger came with the best French fries my husband said he's probably ever had. The onion tangles were crispy & not even a bit greasy. The burger was juicy and paired with the Bourbon sauce was probably the BEST meal I've had in the last 6 months. The Mister's steak was done perfectly medium-rare and the creamy horseradish sauce was superb. His potatoes were seasoned perfectly as well. It was overall an AMAZING meal. We will definitely be back... very soon! This is the perfect date night spot - great ambiance and very clean. Service was awesome.
