The only reason it got 4.5 stars is due to the watery ranch. The cup brought to us was very watered down. The chili was real good. They aren't kidding when they say it's meaty. It had a kick but not too much. The chunks of meat were like meatball size. Got the Texan burger and man was that good. It's a heart attack on a plate but had the kitchen sink on top AND on the bottom of the burger. Fries, onion rings, onions, and sauces. Yum. Oh and two cheeses. Yum. The fries were also amazing and just the way I like it. Not too crispy not too soft. This place is such a gem and if you blink while driving you'll miss it. Wow! I give out five stars sparingly, but Goodfella's deserves it. I accompanied a friend to Goodfella's for the first time and was caught off-guard by their hamburgers. They have a menu with 30 different hamburgers on it - the Haystacker, which has hash browns, an egg, and cheese; an Elvis burger, with peanut butter on it; and many others. The burgers are hand-pattied, not some frozen patty that came from some box in the freezer. I tried the Juicy Lucy (my first Juicy Lucy, I might add). It was tremendous, with two different kinds of cheeses oozing from the burger's center, and some fried onion rings/strings topping the burger off. The bun was fresh and grilled. The entire burger was delicious. The crinkle french fries were nothing spectacular, but the burger more than made up for it. In addition, the owners - who were extremely friendly - brought out a new food item for us to try. She called them Tater Kegs; he called them Loaded Tots. I'd go with the second name. They're essentially an extra crispy, oversize tater tot with melted cheese, chives, and bacon bits or ham inside. They were scrumptious, and served with sour cream or a chipotle mayo. Used to be a good place to eat but has gotten worse each time we have went recently. The food was cold, service was slow (which we do understand with understaffing, etc. these days so that didn't bother us so much), our waitress was rude and charged us for food we didn't order and then argued with us over it. Bar bingo on Monday is always fun. Good atmosphere, decent prices. Nothing too exotic for drinks, just a simple rural bar. As a vegetarian I was really disappointed in the menu. Due to everything having meat in it I went for the chef salad which the menu stated was without meat. Upon it arriving it was piled high with ham. We stopped here because we heard the food was good and it lived up to the expectations. We ordered wings and a burger. Wings were cooked good, the sauce was a bit watery so that could have been better but the ranch I'm pretty sure was homemade. They have pretty unique burgers so I definitely want to come back for another. Service was friendly and the place was clean. Very good experience and cool atmosphere. We have had a variety of menu options and we have liked them very much. Prices are reasonable. They have a kid menu, so it is family friendly, great for groups or great for a small bite to eat. Often busy, so may have to wait a little longer for food. Otherwise, food gets to you within a good time. Waiters are friendly and pretty knowledgeable of menu items. It has a relaxed atmosphere. Is a bar first. However, with a great atmosphere and food. Have had the buffalo chicken pizza, ribs (Thursday special) and Elvis burger. The staff is great. Chicken Strips and burgers were great!! Tap beer was fresh and big (25oz.)! Huge selection of unique burgers. Tots and fries were a little undercooked for my liking. Very reasonably priced. Great spot if you live in Milaca and have friends in St Cloud or Foley. Gizzards on menu for those that love them. And they are really good. Burgers are outstanding. The Testicle Festival is in late summer with tons of people in attendance and an outside tent and beer area. Very Country in decor and in music. We have gone here on and off for a long time. Service has gotten slower. We were there on a Thursday night, it wasn't that busy. Had to wait 15 minutes for our order to be taken and then another 45 minutes for our food. I tried the chicken fajita wrap thinking it would be grilled chicken. It was not. It appeared to be pre-seasoned, precooked, frozen chicken cubes that were just heated up and placed in a wrap. Very disappointed. I've had better food here in the past not sure what has happened. Remember...it's a bar.....it's not Applebee's. (Even though everytime we go here we hear someone say that it must have good food because the owner used to work at Applebee's) Stick with the burgers and fries. They're pretty good at that. read more
